All lovers of Finland and saunas, but also water elements, catfish and boaters, we have a tip for you! Martina and her husband invite you for new experiences to the Silesian Swimming Pool on the banks of the Orlice River. Here, in the bay by the dam, they hid two wooden houses on the water. Gazebos with the names Sasanka and Stulík.
And we have four reasons for you to go here...
First of all, you have water right at your fingertips. And more water to go with it. A lot, but really a lot of water. You can just look at her. You can soak your feet or take a bath. And you can also experience what it's like to be a real paddleboarder, test your balance on a paddleboard or go fishing with a permit.
Secondly, Martina loves Finland and its symbiosis with nature. And she was inspired by Finland. Not only with wooden buildings and living by the water, but also with saunas. It is not just an occasional ritual to heal the body and mind, but also a way of being. Just wellbeing. A year-round private sauna awaits you here, and the brave can cool off in the river.
Third, you will be hidden in nature, but you will not be far from civilization. You will be only 1.5 km away from the historic city center. Wandering the streets in search of history and beauty, here in Hradec Králové is where.
And we'll leave the fourth reason up to you... We'll be perfectly happy if it's your rest.
We have two gazebos for you: Ansanka and Stulík.
It's our little piece of Finland at home, in Orlica.
We've tucked them away in a cove on a seawall, so you can enjoy privacy, but you'll definitely not be far from civilization. Each gazebo is a little different, choose as you like.
In both gazebos you will find:
- a double bed
- basic kitchen equipment, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, fridge (Stulík also has a gas stove)
- air conditioning, heating, wood stove
- possibility to use the beach and pier
- wi-fi is available throughout the premises
There is no running water in the gazebos and they do not have their own sanitary facilities - however, you will find a jug and a toilet here.
Toilets and showers are located approximately 100 m from the gazebos. Your steps will be directed here not only for hygiene reasons, but also whenever you want to replenish your supply of drinking water.
p.s. The area of the Silesian swimming pool is open to the public - understand: only our members. You won't be completely alone here, but you won't be deprived of privacy either.
Gazebos are equipped so that you can prepare simple and quick meals in them, but you cannot cook anything big in them. So if you get a taste for something good and proper, go to a restaurant or bistro. We will be happy to advise you.
In the premises you will also find our Lautta bar, which is open in the afternoon, and we invite you here for tea or homemade lemonade and in the summer to cool off with a popsicle or beer.
There is also a fire pit where you can roast burritos or catch fish.
SAUNA
If the inspiration is Finland, then really. And that directly through their amazing sauna tradition. With a bonus - a view of the river. So warm up, let your body sweat, heal and cool down.
With us you have two options:
- Saunalautta - floating sauna on the water - public sauna for 12 people (closed in the summer season).
- SoluSauna - a private sauna that can be just for the two of you. You won't be deprived of a view of the river here either. Go to cool off directly in the river, or if you don't dare, use the outdoor showers next to the sauna. The sauna heater is connected to a relaxing terrace overlooking the river.
