Do you look at the photo and see yourself on the warm terrace of a Mediterranean resort? Crunchy pastries, cheeses, orange juice on a wooden table, the gentle splashing of water in the pool and an orchestra of cicadas in the branches playing in your ears... And now subtract hundreds of kilometers, the price of plane tickets and hours spent at the airport terminal and drive to Zlín.

This beautiful accommodation with a swimming pool and 2 apartments, named after the grandmothers of the owners: Marie and Anna, is located in Zlín. We do not promise cicadas, but we do not rule out crickets. We will spare you the scorching sun, but you can enjoy a siesta here every day. In addition, Zlín is a very interesting city with rich functionalist construction, associated with the name of Tomáš Bata, the founder of the world shoe empire.

Staying in a quiet residential area of the city close to the center with a busy cultural life and an interesting history is proof that Slow Travel does not necessarily take place in a remote forest at the end of the world.

Garden villa with pool and terrace with Mediterranean atmosphere and accommodation in Scandi style. We reserved the upstairs apartment for ourselves, but one apartment on the ground floor and one in the garden are prepared and scented just for you.

FAMILY APARTMENT ANNA
An apartment with a romantic design, where you can come as a couple and enjoy each other, or use the place for a family vacation full of beautiful experiences. The kitchenette with dining area is big enough for 4. The bedroom with a double bed belongs to adults and the living room with sofa beds accommodates children. They will be grateful that they can watch fairy tales on TV in the morning and let you sleep as a reward.

MARIA'S APARTMENT
Slightly smaller in terms of floor space, but just as spacious in terms of feel. Airy Scandinavian style goes hand in hand with minimalism and inner peace. Here, too, you will find a kitchenette with a table, a living room with a TV and a seating area, and a bedroom with a comfortable double bed. The apartment is hidden in the garden behind the house and has its own entrance.

Both apartments have their own bathroom with shower, separate toilet, Wi-Fi connection and access to the shared garden and terrace with pool.

The furniture is partly new and designer and partly antique. Behind the walls of the Zlín villa, it creates a beautiful harmonious space. And the garden is not quite ordinary either. In addition to a sunny terrace and a refreshing pool, you also have a soothing bamboo grove with a pond and a garden with chickens.

The kitchenettes in both apartments are smaller, but solidly equipped. Sitting inside the apartments and on the terrace is extremely stylish and you can experience both a romantic dinner and a moment with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine ALONE. In summer, you will appreciate the fireplace and grill in the garden.

WORKATION IN ZLÍN
Our design studio is located in the house, so there is a kind of creative enthusiasm floating around the villa, which you can tap into at will. Just like on our Wi-Fi. Rested and with a clear head, you can start creating and working on one of the projects you've been carrying around in your head for so long.

ACCOMMODATION WITH GARDEN AND SWIMMING POOL
In the summer, of course, you will be most pleased with the terrace with the saltwater pool. There is also an aqua park and a large swimming pool in the city, if you feel like getting in the water properly.

And definitely go explore the city of Zlín. It combines the tenacity of Wallachia, the kindness of Hana and the love for the traditions of Slovakia. Tomáš Baťa also had a hand in this, as he attracted employees from a wide area with his prosperous business, thereby mixing the characters of different regions in one city.

In the 1920s, thanks to his shoe concern, the population of Zlín more than doubled. And so it was necessary to start with the construction of new production facilities, schools, cultural centers and shops. And also small, simple houses made of unplastered red bricks. Under the baton of Tomáš Bata, as the mayor of the city, never-before-seen workers' colonies and functionalist buildings grew up in Zlín according to a uniform pattern. To this day, Zlín is a revelation for visitors, because such architecture cannot be found anywhere else in Europe. This is simply our specific Bať urbanism.
