Once upon a time, a village headman lived here, who distributed milk in the area during the war. So if we say that the history of this house flows with milk and honey, there will be no exaggeration. However, today, instead of cows, bees are bustling around the forest near the Bug River, with the help of which we create Apiary Podlaska Tradycja - a place created out of love for animals and passion for Podlasie, where my wife comes from. We are both veterinarians and in addition to the apiary, we also run a clinic in the area. And although I personally dreamed of professionally dealing with... gynecology of large animals, learning from bees turns out to be equally satisfying, colorful and maybe a little more subtle.
In Wólka Nadbużna, things are done that only anyone has a wólka or lack of it: calmly, close to nature, far from urgent matters and dedlajny. You can go for walks in the forest, visit Podlaskie villages on a bike and discover the historical places of this region - we are close to all of them: the Holy Mountain of Grabarka, Drohiczyn or Mielnik. You can fish on the Bug, to which our land is adjacent, and if you fail to catch anything: go on a trip along the trail of Podlasie cuisine. We will tell you who and where sells the best local specialties here. For hedonists, we have a sauna, jacuzzi and ulotherapy house in the garden, where the fragrant, bee air not only soothes the nerves, but also heals. If you are looking for an exclusive home that, in addition to comfort, will satisfy your curiosity about the world, we invite you. You will be sweet here.
We invite you to a comfortable house located in our apiary in Wólka Nadbużna, on the edge of the Podlaski Przełom Bugu Landscape Park. Our bees work nearby, with the help of which we produce delicious honey, and we offer you lazy time at home, where we have taken care of everything. This is a place where a family, a group of friends or a couple who likes space for themselves will be pleasant.
House has:
– 2 bedrooms (each with a double bed and a fold-out sofa),
– living room with a large sofa bed, TV and fireplace,
– well-equipped kitchen connected to the dining room,
– 2 bathrooms – one with a shower, one without,
– desks in the bedrooms if you want to work,
– equipment that will make your stay easier and more enjoyable: bathrobes, an iron or an ironing board.
The house is year-round and heated.
In theory, there are 10 places to sleep, but so that you can rest in comfort, we invite you here for a maximum of 8 people. Please take into account that there are two double beds, the rest are places on fold-out sofas.
There is a SPA zone in the garden, with a sauna, a jacuzzi and an ulotherapy house waiting for you.
At the end of the plot there is a barn and this is where all the bee magic happens. We keep hives there, which we take out for use during the season, and it may happen that from time to time someone will hang around the hives. Don't be surprised if your path crosses the flight trajectory of a bee - after all, this is a house next to a working apiary. However, the bees that live with us permanently are inseminated, which means that they are exceptionally gentle.
Near our house, right next to the Bug River, we have created a place that is a paradise for anglers. In a large private pond, fishing enthusiasts can catch tench, roach, bream, eel, carp, ide, perch, crucian carp, sturgeon, rudd, grass carp, certa and asp.
You must know that we are not in a complete wilderness. The house is located in the village, right next to a small road, with neighbors' houses just behind it. However, our plot is large, green and tucked into the forest and we have no doubt that you will relax here in peace.
We have another plot of land nearby, on the bank of the Bug River, so if you want to go fishing in peace or light a bonfire by the river, you will also be able to spend time there.
We leave you with a fully equipped kitchen where you can cook what you like. A barbecue and a place for a bonfire will be waiting for you outside.
When you come to us, you can count on a welcome basket with local delicacies. In it you will find our honey, mead, eggs from our hens and traditional bread from a local bakery. In addition, we will be happy to share with you tips on what and where to buy here: who sells the best preserves, cheeses, vinegars or oils. We are in the process of preparing a culinary guide to the area, which will soon be waiting for you on site.
You can relax there in various ways and in various configurations. In a refined and cozy house, in a village on the Bug River, surrounded by greenery, you will be able to press pause and forget about urgent matters for a moment. Whether you let boredom in here or not, this is your brooch. In the house itself you will find:
– a comfortable living room with a large sofa, a TV connected to the Internet and a fireplace where you can relax with a book,
– a library with beekeeping literature and more,
– board games for social evenings at the table,
– cozy corners with sofas, blankets and spotlights.
And outside, in our SPA zone, you will find:
– dry sauna (this pleasure will cost you PLN 100 per day),
– jacuzzi (here the cost is PLN 150 per day),
– apitherapy house (we charge PLN 100 per day and can be used by all residents of the house),
If you plan to take advantage of all the hedonistic pleasures we have in store, it will be most convenient for you to purchase a package of attractions. The price of PLN 300 includes: one-time lighting of the sauna, one-time heating of the jacuzzi, 4 bicycles, one-time lighting of a bonfire and unlimited apitherapy. The package must be used in one day, except for apitherapy, which is available throughout the stay.
A few words about apitherapy - because perhaps not everyone has heard of it. Apitherapy involves entering a house with bees, but there is no direct contact with them. The bees do their thing in the hives under the deckchairs, from which you are safely separated by a dense mesh. This treatment relaxes and has health properties - it helps treat neuroses, insomnia, asthma, relieves the effects of stress, and heart and circulatory system diseases. The air coming out of the hive has an amazing smell, and the sound of thousands of humming bees soothes your frayed nerves.

We are located in such a location that we are a great base for exploring the junction of Podlasie, Mazovia and the picturesque surroundings of the Bug River.
– You can go on a kayaking trip along the Bug River, e.g. from Mielnik (20 km from here) to Drohiczyn. The route will take 2-3 hours.
– Only 17 km away is Drohiczyn, the historical capital of Podlasie. In Drohiczyn, you can climb the Castle Hill, where there was a castle in the Middle Ages, and from there have a look at the panorama of the Bug River, see historic churches, and even visit the Canoeing Museum. You can also go on a boat cruise on the Bug River.
– Holy Mountain Grabarka is the most important place of religious worship of the Polish Orthodox Church. Its history dates back to 1710, when the local community of Podlasie was decimated by the plague epidemic. According to an old man's revelation, salvation could be found on Mount Grabarka. Today, people drink water from the holy spring there.
– In Mielnik there is the only still active open-pit chalk mine in Poland. It was mined there 500 years ago! The huge workings can be viewed from a vantage point above the mine. This is not the only attraction of Mielnik: there you can also climb a former stronghold from the 11th century and look at the Bug River, see the ruins of a church from 1420, or take a wooden footbridge to the top of Rowska Mountain in the Protected Landscape Area of the Bug Valley.
– There is a guarded swimming area in Siemiatycze - one with tourist infrastructure, but if you are looking for a place where you can go for half a day with children, Siemiatycze may be a good choice. There is also a newly built, year-round swimming pool called Wodne Tarasy.
– It is best to go to Janów Podlaski with its famous stud farm of Arabian horses dating back to the Napoleonic Wars from the beginning of May to the end of September. It is the oldest state-owned stud farm in Poland. In addition to the horses, the attraction here is the 19th-century stable complex, the oldest of which: "Zegarowa" from 1848 and "Czołowa" from 1841, designed by the famous Italian architect Henryk Marconi.
– Ziołowy Zakątek in Koryciny is a place drawing on the herbal tradition of Podlasie. There you can visit the herbal botanical garden, buy mixtures for various ailments, eat dishes seasoned with your own herbs in the inn, visit the moonshiner's hut or the whisperer's house.
– In winter, you can rent cross-country skis in Wólka Nadbużańska. Let us know you are interested and we will arrange a discount for you.
What’s there for children?
All kids are welcome with us, the only thing is that we don't have any special attractions for them in the form of a playground or a trampoline. Books and games await you at home, you can see what's going on with our hens or go fishing with your parents on the Bug River.
About 300 m separates you from the educational park Natural Educational Paths of the Siemiatycze Commune, where a lot of natural curiosities can be learned by both children and adults. In the pine forest there are models of animals and mushrooms, nesting boxes, forest puzzles, educational boards (we took care of the educational path regarding bees), a labyrinth and a playground. The nature trails in Wólka Nadbużna are open 6 days a week (except Mondays) and we recommend them to anyone interested in the world who would like to learn something about the biodiversity and geodiversity of Podlasie.
What’s there for employees?
Forget about all the stereotypes of the Podlasie countryside and see for yourself that our internet does not differ from that of Warsaw office buildings, and the SPA in the form of a sauna and jacuzzi relaxes better than in a five-star hotel. In both bedrooms there are worktops for remote work with comfortable chairs. You can also choose to work in a kitchen combined with a living room, at a large table or on a comfortable sofa. The house is quiet and peaceful, so the only disturbances you can encounter here are the buzzing of bees in the summer.
