When a car passes by once an hour, we say "what traffic today!". We also adhere to rather peculiar rules such as "Sunday without apple pie is no Sunday." And instead of a lady with an ermine, we have a lady with a proziak. Do you feel such vibes? Then we invite you further, we will not be standing in the doorway like this. Although here, even this threshold is quite pleasant, with a view of the Sanocko-Turczańskie Mountains, the Słonne Mountains and the Chwaniów range. Hats off and boots off your feet, if that tells you anything. And yet it is here that the Bieszczady Transofgarsk Road passes, the invisible Turnicki National Park stretches and the Hope fir grows, older than the independence of the United States.
Our Akacjowe Zacisze consists of four double and triple rooms. We will feed the hungry with breakfast, dinner and even a Carpathian dinner with traditional delicacies from the Bieszczady cuisine. And so we want to say something else at the end, something that will make you come to us, even if you have never heard of our mountains. Because here is really what to do, where to get lost and chase with the wind. Alone, no crowds.
However, nothing else comes to mind, but simply: come on, it's beautiful!
In Akacjowy Zacisze you will find four rooms and two year-round houses.
Our 2- and 3-bed rooms differ only in colors that refer to the four seasons of the year. They all have their own bathrooms, single beds and fold-out couches. Arriving in the room, breakfast is already included, but guests do not have access to the kitchen.
Cottages are the best option for 4 people. Each has two bedrooms, a living room with a fireplace, a kitchenette and a bathroom. To book via this link: https://slowhop.com/pl/places/4184-domki-akacjowe-zacisze.html
We try to be a part of nature and repay it for the opportunity to live in such a beautiful place. We draw electricity from solar energy, we have installed a heat pump for heating, and we have taken care of a household sewage treatment plant. We kindly ask you to segregate your waste.
Let it be said again: we are in the middle of nowhere, so it's far from nice restaurants. That's why we encourage guests to enjoy our breakfasts and order home-made dinners (for an additional fee). You don't have to worry about scheduling meals throughout the day - we feed at times that suit you, breakfast is served from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., and dinner from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Our love is mainly Polish and Lemko cuisine.
On warm, longer weekends we organize Carpathian Dinners. You can try regional specialties such as fuczki, hreczanyki and tertianyky. We also prepare goulash in a cast iron pot and meat and vegetable stews. We also have an Akacjowa Chata Grillowa on site with an oven for baking pizza, bread and proziaki. And at the turn of June and July, the housewives of Stańkowa organize the Pierog Festival. Needless to say, it's worth visiting!
Restaurants are hard to come by, but if someone is in need, you can choose to eat in Sanok (30 km), the gliding center (22 km) or at the ski station in Wańkowa (10 km).
Do you want to have a forest just for yourself? Are you tired of holiday crowds? Well, we invite you to our Sanok-Turkish retreat in the foothills of the Bieszczady Mountains. Wander around aimlessly or take a bearing on local delights.
#delight 1 - glider on Bezmiechowa Góra
We have amazing views here, the possibility of admiring gliders (however, there are no tourist flights for now) and a path with forest beggars carved in the trees. There is also a restaurant at the top if you feel like eating an apple pie with ice cream in the open air.
#delight 2 - Salty Streamers
The longest road serpentines in Poland stretch in the neighbourhood. The route is used every year during car rallies, but you can also drive it. At Załużu you will find an observation deck with a parking lot.
#delight 3 - church in Ulucz
The church stands on a steep Dębnik hill and was built in 1659. It is therefore the third oldest church in Poland. Few, however, go to it, perhaps being discouraged by the approach. Don't be discouraged, because the place is very picturesque and reminds you of the former inhabitants of this area.
#delight 4 - Sanok, Beksiński and the open-air museum
Sanok is famous for its charming market square, the wonderful Museum of Folk Architecture, a collection of icons and the world's largest collection of works by Zdzisław Beksiński. Maybe you don't know, but Beksiński was born in Sanok, and his family founded a blacksmith and cycling workshop here in the 19th century, which gave rise to the Autosan company.
#delight 5 - view of San from Sobień Castle
Only ruins remain of the Sobień Castle today, but the view of the San was as enchanting as it still is. Under the Castle there is a parking lot, a small bar and a bunker of the Molotov Line hidden in the bushes.
#delight 6 - invisible Turnicki National Park
Turnicki National Park is still a park without official borders. Naturalists and activists have been fighting for its establishment for years, because it would protect one of the last wild fragments of the Carpathian Forest. Before your planned arrival, make sure you don't miss any event - they already have such attractions as an evening with the magic of the Carpathians, bicycle rallies, walks along the Orthodox Church trail and the Kupala Night celebration. More information can be found on the project website https://niewidzialnypark.pl/
#delight 7 - nonexistent villages
Search under the name: areas of the former villages of Jamna Górna/Dolna.
#delight 8-viewing tower on Holica
It is from here that you can admire the breathtaking ranges of the Sanocko-Turczańskie Mountains and the Bieszczady Mountains.
#delight 9 - sauna and tub
And this is already at our place, in the garden :)
What’s there for children?
Akacjowe Zacisze is over 3 hectares of garden with picturesque corners, hundreds of trees and shrubs and a stream, which is a real attraction for kids. For the youngest guests, we have a small slide, sandpits and football goals. Children can spend a lot of time outdoors, taking advantage of the huge space of our garden.
And when there is rain outside the window, we invite you to our house, where toys, books and board games are waiting.
Together with willing children, we will prepare regional proziaki baked on a baking sheet.
What’s there for employees?
For working people, we offer a common space in the living room, but in our wilderness it is different with an internet connection, so it's best to secure your own.
