Ojcowski Zakątek 

In the buffer zone of the Ojcowski National Park, in the heart of the Jura Krakowsko-Częstochowska, we have created Ojcowskie Retreat. It is a cozy house for people close to each other: because we have 5 places to sleep, but none of the rooms are locked. Couples, families with children or groups of friends like to come to us. In the cottage are: – 3 sleeping places on the sleeping mezzanine (1 double bed and 1 single bed), – 2 on a fold-out sofa in the living room, – a mezzanine with a net and a swing, – a bathroom with a bathtub overlooking the hills, – a living room with a fireplace, – kitchen with dining room, – terrace with a hot tub (included). We have fields and hills in front of us, which are best viewed from a terrace or a bathtub. Behind us, above the house, there is a neighbor's house and a barn next to it - so the surroundings are quite tight, and there is a road at the top. But don't worry: she can't be seen or heard from here. You will go down the stairs to the house, and all the space to relax that you will have at your disposal will be in front of you. The plot is not fenced in front. As you stand, you can let yourself out in front of you. The house is open all year round - heated with air conditioning and a fireplace. In winter, you can warm yourself with a goat and catch up on books after a walk along the snow-covered trails of the Ojcowski National Park.

As it is in an exclusive house, you will be responsible for cooking here yourself. We left you all the necessities in the kitchen. Coffee is from a capsule machine, tea is waiting too. We will tell you that they taste best when drunk in the morning on the terrace. You will have 400 m to the nearest shop. To the nearest place where you can eat tasty food: a little over a kilometer. This is Chleb Praojców, an inn by the road, where in addition to delicious, traditional bread (interesting fact: Mr. Jan's bread is limited to 300 loaves a day), you can get various local delicacies, e.g. cold cuts or preserves. In front of the house there is a hearth waiting for you for summer and autumn bonfires.

The border of the Ojcowski National Park is less than 1.5 km away. Perhaps by some miracle you weren't here on a school trip and you don't have an archival photo with the Mace of Hercules. Or you want to do this to your children. Anyway: if you dream of visiting it, and they say it's worth it - according to Google Maps, it's the second most visited national park in Poland - it's hard to find a closer spot. In addition, with such a view from the terrace. For fans of legends, climbing, mysterious rock formations and caves, there is a lot to see here: – Grota Łokietek is the largest of the local caves. The story of the hiding king who was supposed to live there at the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries is connected with it. And that is why the individual rooms of the cave are called the Kitchen or the Bedroom. During the First World War the cave served as a shelter for the local population. And today, for example, you can see interesting ice "stalagmites", the so-called peasant girls. – Pieskowa Skała Castle – if you expect puppies to live in it, we will have to disappoint you. The 14th-century castle is most likely named after the diminutive of the name Piotr: Piesiek. The Renaissance form that you can admire today is the merit of the Szafraniec family. Here you will see interior design from different eras from the Middle Ages to the 20th century and English paintings, all from the Wawel State Art Collection. – Prądnik Valley – a walk along this picturesque route will give you many impressions. It is here that jaw-dropping rock formations, caves where bats live, the Krakowska Gate with columns, the distance between which is said to decrease from year to year, and when they touch, the end of the world will come; you can also see the beautiful historic architecture from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. - An example of this is the unusual Chapel "On the Water" - erected in this way, supposedly because Tsar Nicholas forbade the construction of sacral buildings on his father's land. The chapel is an example of architecture in the Swiss-paternal style, inside it refers to the Zakopane style, and the altars in it are shaped like the tops of peasant cottages. – A kilometer behind the shrine is Boroniówka, the Młynarska Settlement in Ojców. It is an interesting example of wooden industrial architecture. The mill buildings date from the end of the 19th century and the devices are still working! – Not everyone has heard of Grodzisk and the Hermitage of Blessed Salomea, and to see them, it is enough to take a short walk from Hercules Club. It is an abandoned monastery complex, the history of which dates back to the end of the 13th century. The baroque church located there requires a special appointment, so keep that in mind. Also, look behind the church to see the elephant-carried obelisk from 1687, modeled on a statue in Rome. To sum up: take comfortable shoes, a bike and all your curiosity, because there are plenty of historical and natural places to discover around. And if you dream of city attractions: cafes, theaters and museums, you can get to Krakow in half an hour.
