According to Wikipedia, Lake Szymonek is located in the Masurian Lake District. It has a moderately developed shoreline, a rope-pike shape, and in its immediate vicinity there are meadows, most often wet.
In our opinion, Lake Szymonek is in the land of children's escapades. From the position of the SUP you can see its green shores with hidden bays where you can hide from the world. The days start with bird concerts, and it's surprising that they are the same, without a conductor. Free mornings turn into a free day - filled with lying on a hammock, running barefoot, swimming (we have our own descent to the water and 5 minutes to the next beach) or cycling. Free dreams are provided by a 6-person house, perfect for family, friends or a small working team.
We're slowing down here. But it's allowed here. This is the Free Forest, after all.
In Wolne Las there are two glamping tents (to be booked on a separate profile - https://slowhop.com/pl/miejsca/3341-wolny-las-glamping.html) and a modern, 6-person guest house with huge windows, through which the forest looks inside. The house consists of two bedrooms with double beds, a bedroom on the mezzanine with two single beds, a kitchen, a living room with a sofa bed and a bathroom.
Our plot has direct access to the intimate lake Szymonek. And even though Ławki are only a dozen or so kilometers from crowded Mikołajki, everything flows slower here.
You can prepare your own meals on site or drive to nearby restaurants. The house has a well-equipped kitchen with necessary cooking utensils, including an induction cooker, but also two ovens, a dishwasher and a coffee machine. Spacious terraces and dining rooms overlooking the forest invite you to eat breakfast, lunch or dinner there.
Even simple scrambled eggs taste different here, I promise!
Possibility to order eggs, honey and milk from a local host.
In our opinion, there are so many possibilities here that it is impossible to get bored. And even if boredom hits you, it will be conscious and fully celebrated.
At your fingertips (or legs) you will find…
- hammocks hanging on terraces and among trees, slowly swinging in the wind,
- board games for free evenings,
- a bookcase, if you want to slowly turn through the pages of the book,
- descent to Lake Szymonek, free from crowds and screens,
- public SUPs for free swimming on the lake,
- our own little forest and trees that you can hug.
And a little further there are waiting to be discovered…
- a rural beach in Ławki, with a volleyball court, a pier and a shelter for leisurely holiday celebrations,
- Rudowiecki Forest, full of leisurely paths, perfect for a bike ride or a walk,
- huge meadows and fields, with slowly flowing streams,
- the slow town of Ryn with an old mill and a Teutonic castle; interesting facts, we will add that the castle was expanded on the initiative of master Konrad von Wallenrode, whose unsuccessful expeditions became the inspiration for Adam Mickiewicz to write the poem "Konrad Wallenrod",
- unknown and slowly disappearing from the landscape, guard mounds around Ryn,
- well-known and definitely not free Mikołajki, but full of restaurants with live music and a view of the port.
For horse riding enthusiasts, a friendly neighborhood stud farm offers individual horse riding lessons for adults and children and allows horse riding in the field.
What’s there for children?
We offer old-style holidays for children: running barefoot in the grass, swinging on a swing, swimming in the lake. No phones or other distractions, but dirty feet and leaves in my hair. It is also worth visiting the Wild Animal Park in Kadziłłów, one of a kind.
What’s there for employees?
There is Internet in the house and a long table for working together. A multimedia flipchart will be perfect for conducting intimate workshops.
