When you take the gravel road away from civilization and you manage to choose the right direction at the fork in the road, you will find yourself on the edge of meadows and an old forest. You have arrived at Studio Burdąg - a farm that exudes peace and good energy. You will be greeted by silence, the sky painted with clouds and sunsets, and our female dog, Szajba, wagging her tail. The studio is full of life most of the time: there is a place to work, make new friends, talk about life and a lot of emotions. But there is always a moment of silence. Due to the fact that we rent Burdąg for the organization of workshops, over the years we have hosted many extraordinary people here and we have seen really different things. From the experimental choreography that started it all, through bonfire rituals, acro yoga, swimming in our pond, to the directing course.
The owners of Studio Burdąg are Olga and Janusz Stokłos. When in the 1990s they bought a neglected post-German farm, no one expected that a creative workhouse would be built there. The current shape of the Studio is the result of many years of their efforts. Olga and Janusz come from time to time to rest or work, and we - the team - live in Burdąg a bit out of time. And we invite our guests to do so. Here you will be able to take a breath and spend a few days in harmony with nature, the season and sunrises. Each of us cares about Burdąg and its energy in our own way - we would like to share this place with you.
Studio Burdąg is located right next to the forest, in silence and greenery, away from neighbors, roads and civilization. First, the owners created a house for the family, then a dance hall and accommodation rooms, and today a place dedicated to creative work and development workshops is flourishing here.
We invite organizers who organize events and are looking for a place for a few days trip to cooperate with us. Here you will surely find peace, good energy and a lot of space (inside and outside) to use during classes. We rent the studio exclusively.
In two buildings, in double and triple rooms we can host 22 people, 26 with added mattresses.

and 2 buildings where part of the team lives and the owners who come from time to time
from Warsaw on a visit.
We also have pets: the female Szajba and the female Zyta. We love all wet noses, so you can take your pets here too. Just remember to read the rules and ensure the comfort of our animals and other guests.
Winter in Burdąg
The temperatures in the buildings will be around 19-20° C, so remember to bring warm tracksuits and wool socks. Winter in the countryside is not the tropics. For chilled people, we have a fireplace and a goat, where you can bask as much as you want.
We feed here vegetarian, seasonally and aromatically. Our chef, Aleksandra Doniczka, will nourish not only your bodies, but also your senses, and will offer balanced meals prepared with full mindfulness. Ola is a nutritionist specializing in plant-based diets, and in addition to cooking at workshops, she looks after the Burda patch, conducts culinary workshops, organizes her own events and takes photos.
The menu is set separately with each of the Organizers, in order to fully adapt it to the needs of the group. We really want you to be able to recharge your batteries with a nutritious meal during intensive work. In addition to a vegetarian diet, we can offer a vegan or gluten-free diet. What matters to us is the quality, origin of products and their impact on the environment. In summer we use vegetables from our garden.
All-day board is with us: breakfast in the form of a Swedish table with oatmeal or millet + two-course lunch with dessert + dinner in the form of a Swedish table with a hot dish.
If you need a snack between meals, a fully equipped communal kitchen is at your disposal.
Our offer is addressed to the organizers of various types of events and it is them who take care of filling the time of our guests. We know from experience that there are a lot of activities and sometimes there is not enough time to take full advantage of the charms of the area.
Our workshop room gives space for organizing very diverse activities: dance classes, movement classes, martial arts, yoga practices, women's circles, soft skills workshops or stage and acting workshops. We also have a lot of common spaces where our guests can make friends and exchange experiences between classes. However, if someone prefers to take a break from all kinds of stimuli and interactions, he will always find a secluded place to retreat.
In your free time - should such a thing happen - you can always:
– go for walks in the forest, which is only a few steps away,
– go to the nearby Świątajno lake, one of the cleanest in Masuria,
– read books in a hammock (you can choose something from our library),
– soak your feet in the pond while lying on the platform,
– swim in the pool in the summer and swim in the winter,
– play ping-pong and badminton matches,
- sit in the evening by the fire,
– ride a bike, if you happen to have it with you,
- go sledding when it snows,
– pick raspberries, blueberries and mushrooms in autumn
It's rare that someone goes out to explore the area during their stay, but if...
– Olsztyn is an hour away from here, so you can go on a trip: a walk around the old town, a beautiful university campus by the lake or for a good coffee at Bless Coffee Roasters,
– in Szczytno, in addition to the ruins of the Teutonic castle, Masurian Pofajdoki and the Masurian Museum are waiting for you,
– in the charming nearby towns and villages: Pasym (the oldest town in Masuria), Grom, Barczewo or Dźwierzuty, you can admire the post-war architecture and move into the past for a moment,
– the nearby Dłużek Lake and the village of Dłużek (such in traditional Prussian street buildings) Melchior Wańkowicz describes in the book “Na tropach Smętka” as the most beautiful in Masuria,
– we are almost in the Napiwodzko-Ramucka Forest, and here there are: impenetrable forests, nature reserves, a refuge of wild birds, a war cemetery in Orłowo from World War I or an abandoned Warmian village of Orzechowo.
What’s there for children?
We are a workshop place for adults. Here you will take care of yourself to come back from the kids after updating the system.
