Overboard Stara Świna, Karsibór Island and 43 other Baltic Sea islands and islets. Welcome to the land of herring, dunes and breeze. Before you spread your towel on the beach in Świnoujście, we invite you to the quiet marina on Karsibór, where local fishermen moor. This is where we launched our barge. Here you can buy fish straight from the cutter every day, and in the summer you can dine in a restaurant that is just a few steps away. If you feel like it, we will welcome you with crispy bread made from 15-year-old sourdough, smoked fish and local beer.
You simply feel at home or on the old sailor's boat. Prepare breakfast in the galley and eat it in the messroom, relax in the cabin and sit on the bow terrace with sea stories. You will probably be visited by a cormorant and a heron. Maybe a spotted crake will run across the jetty, and with a bit of luck you will see a sandpiper, a white-tailed eagle and a kingfisher. It's also worth taking binoculars with you on a kayak, which will take you straight from the cottage into the depths of the Świna Delta reserve. Ahoy, landlubbers, see you on board!
In a house floating in a quiet marina on Karsibór Island. The marina is quiet despite the large tourist traffic in the warm months (including the start of kayaking trails, a restaurant). No large or loud motorboats come here, only jet skis sometimes. In the central building there is a restaurant with a view of the water (open only in the summer season) and several camping houses. The entire area is fenced and monitored. This is the main base for local sailors and fishermen, who moor their rowing boats and small motorboats here, and on the shore they have a special place for cleaning fish. The marina also serves as a warehouse for floating, water and other equipment. Boats, motorboats, kayaks, scooters can be parked in the parking lot and on the shore - especially in winter. However, all this has its charm, local color, which is not an ideal postcard. Here you can feel like you are in a fishing base, where time has stopped.
The barge is intended for adults, for a couple. It consists of:
- covered bow terrace (armchairs on the terrace)
- living room with dining area and kitchenette (mess with galley)
- bathroom with shower
- bedroom with double bed (cabin)
- utility room/wardrobe
- small stern terrace - technical
The apartment is free from:
- phthalates (synthetic fragrances)
- mercury (energy-saving light bulbs)
- chlorine (household chemicals)
- Teflon (kitchen utensils)
We only use biodegradable household chemicals and ecological cosmetics that do not affect aquatic organisms.
Throughout the marina, wooden - rather old floating pontoons set on piles. Be careful! They can be slippery during rain. Out of season, ducks, seagulls and herons sleep on them. If the water is exceptionally high, you can get to the shore by kayak, which lies right next to the barge. And then it is already an adventure worthy of a real islander.
In the galley you can easily prepare a captain's feast for your crew. It is small, but there is plenty to do. You can have breakfast in the messroom, at an old table or on the terrace, in comfortable armchairs.
If you feel like it, we will prepare our 15-year-old sourdough bread, a cheese and cold cuts board, or smoked fish with the Culinary Heritage mark (additional fee).
For an additional fee, we also provide a "Be Coffee Style" set for lovers of good coffee: V60 drip, Moccamaster drip coffee maker, hand grinder, fresh coffee beans 250g.
In the central building of the marina there is a restaurant overlooking the water (open only in the summer season).
We highly recommend coming without a plan and seeing what you feel like. Maybe you will want to walk along the beach and buy fish straight from the cutter. Fresh fish can be obtained daily from fishermen in the marina or at the fishing port (300 meters away). Or maybe you will feel like sightseeing. Then we recommend the late Gothic Church in Świnoujście - Karsibór. It stands on an ancient trade route around the Baltic Sea. In 1630, while waiting for his troops to cross, the Swedish King Gustav II stayed in the church rectory for 5 days.
The reserve is located in the special bird protection area (OSO) Natura 2000 "Świna Delta". The whole was created to protect birds and the most abundantly preserved cluster of fern thickets in the whole of Western Pomerania, reaching even 2 meters in height.
In the northern part of the reserve there are two educational trails, 2 kilometers and 2.5 kilometers long, with varying degrees of difficulty (for pedestrians and cyclists).
If you like paddling, you can sail out directly from the houseboat in our kayak to 44 islands, and without moving anywhere, you can watch herons, seagulls, ducks and even white-tailed eagles flying from the terrace. Nearby beaches: on the island and by the sea.
The nearest beach: Świnoujście Warszów. Distance 10km. Parking by the beach - code plus Google maps: W883+2H Świnoujście. We also recommend the beach in Międzyzdroje. For freshwater lovers, there is Lake Turquoise, 15km away, and a wild beach in Karsibór, on the Szczecin Lagoon.
We probably don't have to convince you to visit the Wolin National Park and the Bison Farm - we can only say that it's also close to us.
For an additional fee, we offer:
- rental of two folding bikes that will fit in any car
- bonfire by the water
- a fast motorboat cruise to the beaches in Świnoujście, a windmill and a lighthouse
