I'm obsessed with preserves. That is why the first thing you will see upon arrival are colorful jars painted on the outside wall of the villa. The shelves in my grandmother's pantry, who always had a good word for everyone, used to bend with the real ones. However, she left behind not only warm memories, but also a house in Wisła Jawornik. I decided to take care of him and create a guest house where guests will feel as good as we used to do at Grandma Marta's. Since then, I have hosted independent wanderers, couples, groups of friends and families with children. There is room for everyone in our ten rooms.
I will tell you more about the Vistula itself. None of this will be objective, because I love this place too much to preserve even the remnants of this objectivity. We have wonderful trails with views of the Tatra Mountains and the Slovak Fatra, several ski lifts (the nearest two are 5 minutes' drive from the villa) and a Wiślański kolach for breakfast. Served still warm, with a delicious yeast smell and an incentive to tear off fluffy pieces generously sprinkled with powdered sugar.
I invite you to the Villa as at Grandma's. Welcome home!
It's easy to reach us. Coming from Ustroń, you pass Czantoria, then Wisła Obłaziec station, and when you see a roundabout next to Orlen and Lidl, it's a sign that you're almost there. At the roundabout, take the first exit, cross the bridge over the Vistula river... stop, it's here!
We have 10 rooms for you (4 of them can turn into two two-room studios for four people) and a large apartment. Each room is equipped with a bathroom, TV and two equipped kitchens. The guests of the apartment have their own bathroom, kitchen and terrace for their exclusive use. In addition, everyone can use our unique wooden room, garden, covered gazebo, terrace and parking lot. The Vistula River and the Jawornik stream flow by the house, and a forest begins a few steps away.
Our rooms give a lot of room for maneuver and various configurations.
For 2 people:
- there are 8 rooms in total.
For 3 people:
- there are two rooms with 3 single beds (can be joined as a double with one common mattress)
- there are two double rooms with a double bed or two single beds and a sofa bed (as an extra bed).
For 4 people:
- there are two two-room studios for four people (two double beds in one studio and one double bed and two single beds in the other)
The studios are an ideal solution for a 2+2 family, because they are simply two smaller double rooms, each with its own bathroom and its own TV - both rooms are connected by a small hall.
For 4-6 people:
- a large apartment, i.e. two large rooms, with four single beds (can be joined as two double beds) and a sofa bed, own kitchen and terrace, as well as a private entrance.
Breakfast is included in the price of the stay.
We serve them every day between 8 and 10, in the form of a buffet. Always fresh, rich and with heart. I also take into account your food preferences and I will prepare something suitable for vegans, vegetarians, allergy sufferers or small people who are just going through the period of eating-only-these-three-things. On our table you will find, for example, cheese cakes, lard from Wisła, bryndza from Istebna or dried tomato paste.
As a native of Wisła, I know about all the secret places where you can get real cheese or cold cuts without enhancers. It is from such local flavors that I try to create for you breakfasts that you dream about later at night :)
We have two common kitchens at your disposal - one on each floor. Go ahead and use it. Guests of the apartment have their own annex.
There are many proven culinary addresses in the area. I will list a few of them:
- Hansel and Helenka's Olympian Cottage (in the style of a highlander's inn),
- Restaurant Kącik Zbójnicki and Fajno Chatka (next to the promenade, but with a climate),
- Soszów mountain hostel (a place with a soul, homemade cakes and a seasonal menu).
There are so many possibilities here that I'm not sure where to start. So I'll just start with sports attractions and see where it takes us :)
SKIS
We have a cool thing called SKIPASS in Wisła, which brings together 14 ski resorts in the area. With one card you can travel to several places without any restrictions. However, we have an even cooler thing - a skippass discount for our guests!
The nearest ski lifts are Stok Ski Station (1.6 km), Skolnity Ski Station (2 km) and Soszów (3.4 km). Stok and Soszów are located in the Jawornik valley, so to get to them, you don't have to go along the main road towards the center of Wisła. There are many rental companies in the city, including ski touring ski rentals - so don't worry about equipment shortages. As instructors (unfortunately no longer professionally active ;) ), we will be happy to recommend and advise which slope is best to go to, which instructor or ski school to sign up for and where to rent equipment.
And here we would also like to draw your attention to the extraordinary skis that Olek creates in his factory. FORSZTY not only looks great, but also drives great. You can see them, touch them, test them and of course buy them ;)
ICE RINK
The newest winter attraction in Wisła - Ice Rink and Park of Lights in the very center.
BICYCLE
There is an asphalted bicycle path next to the Villa, which runs through Wisła and Ustroń to Brenna. This is a very pleasant trip for people of all ages. You will find a bit more challenges in the Skolnity bike park and, of course, on the Beskid trails. We will be happy to advise you where to rent bicycles (traditional and electric).
HIKING TRIPS
The nearest hiking trail (blue) starts behind the gate and leads to Soszów. You can use it to make an interesting circle: one way along the blue trail to Soszów, and back along the green and red trails (12 km in total). In Soszów, a break in the shelter is obligatory to listen to Stary Dobre Małżeństwo, try something from Kasia's menu and drink one of the local beers chosen by Paweł. The walk can easily be extended by reaching Stożek or Czantoria.
If the weather is nice, you will see great views of the Tatra Mountains and the Slovak Fatra Mountains from Barania Góra. The loop starts at the parking lot in Wisła Czarne, passes through Barania and descends down the Biała Wisełka valley.
SOMETHING FOR WATER FRIENDS
Less than 2 km from us there are two swimming pools - the popular Tropikana in the Gołębiewski Hotel and the more intimate one in the Stok Hotel. Additionally, in the Center, behind the Amphitheater, there is a new Wisła Pools complex - an outdoor swimming pool with heated water, a sandy beach, slides, etc. open only in summer. Swimming is prohibited in the artificially created Czerniańskie Lake, but it is worth going there for a walk around the dam and the view from the picturesque observation deck. A beautiful, hidden place is the Gańczorka retention reservoir near the sources of the Olza River. You won't be able to swim here either, but it's a good place to walk for some peace and quiet.
OTHER IDEAS
Or rather just a few (dozen) of them :) I will always be happy to provide more information after your arrival at the Villa.
- a walk along the city promenade (in the season, of course, rather crowded),
- Ski Jump. Adam Małysz and a trip to the starting tower,
- Cieńkowska Loop,
- Adam Małysz Trophy Gallery,
- 'roof of the Vistula', i.e. Mount Skolnity with numerous attractions for children and adults,
- a trip to the Museum of Magical Realism (I think the name itself is intriguing and encouraging enough!),
- visiting the Jerzy Kukuczka Memorial Room, run by his wife Cecylia,
- climbing in the Base Camp Istebna rope park,
- seeing the famous Koniaków lace (preferably in the tiny but charming Koniaków Lace Center),
- scratching sheep and tasting oscypek cheese at the Shepherd Center (also in Koniaków, right next to the lace center),
- quick ascent to Ochodzita for views from the Wallachian Gate,
- visit to the ethnographic Chata Kawoluka (the host, Mr. Janek, is a great and witty storyteller),
- going to the Czech side and looking for picturesque Czech houses (e.g. near Soszów).
What’s there for children?
Children are welcome to the playground and to a special play corner in the room. As a mother of two sons, I understand the nutritional challenges of young parents. That is why I try to meet your needs as much as possible and prepare breakfasts so that everyone - regardless of age - will find something for themselves.
We also have games, travel cots, baby baths and high chairs at our disposal. The area itself is also very child-friendly and you will easily find a lot of common attractions.
What’s there for employees?
We have routers on each floor, the Internet works flawlessly also on the terrace and in the garden. Larger groups can work in our dining room - there will be plenty of space.
