At a glance
Although on the hill of Tarczynki Mountain, in the middle of the smallest village of the Western Sudetes, you will be greeted by a sign saying "The End", we should start our story from the beginning. It will be the year 1390, when the village of Kotchendorf fell into the hands of Konrad and Anna von Zedlitz, the owners of the palace in neighboring Wleń. There was a court inn here, a roadside inn provided shelter to passers-by, and there was already a spruce under which Gideon Ernst von Laudon briefed the 35,000-strong Austrian army before the Battle of Kamienna Góra, almost three centuries later. Since then, little has changed except for the name. In today's Tarczyn, the medieval field layout and the structure of farm plots have been largely preserved. No new building has been built here for decades. The spectacular view of the Karkonosze Mountains and the Foothills: Izerskie and Kaczawskie, is still the same.
Enchanted by the history and cultural heritage of this place, we have created an asylum in an old farm where life goes on slowly and in harmony with nature. With the gates wide open, we welcome all manifestations of artistic creativity and guests who are looking for inspiration or want to truly breathe. In the building of the former coach house, we have prepared two apartments decorated in the English style. Their warm interiors are filled with light coming through wooden windows, subtle colors add coziness, and the decoration is art by artists of the OP ENHEIM foundation. In the common space, you can read a book from the library, sit by the fireplace or eat vegetarian meals based on local and seasonal ingredients at a large table. Outside, there are waiting for you: a blooming garden, a pond with croaking frogs, hammocks hung among the trees and old orchards. We are open to new ones here: herbal walks, workshops on borderland cuisine and hiking with a Sudeten guide.
We enjoy silence, in the evening thousands of stars are reflected in the eyes, and the senses experience a real flow.

We are FLOWLAND - our mission is to build awareness of the history of the place we create, protect the tangible and intangible cultural heritage, as well as integrate the local and immigrant communities to the region of the Izerskie Foothills and the Kaczawskie Foothills. In FLOWLAND, we open an artistic and residential space for artists, people of culture and art, but also tourists and residents. Every year, we host an Artistic Picnic with the participation of artists, craftsmen and food producers, and its main goal is to integrate and promote local initiatives. For this purpose, we have established the FLOWLAND Foundation, which organizes and organizes our activities in the region. Each visit, including yours, is a significant support for our mission and the development of the foundation, because all income from renting apartments is spent on organizing cultural activities.
On site, the farm is looked after by Ada - responsible for tasty cuisine and Ania, who deals with reservations and your wishes regarding your stay at FLOWLAND.
