If blue blood flows in your veins, then ... maybe you'd better choose another palace. Because this one is completely unpressed. After arriving here, you will enter the mode of Zosia picking zucchini in our vegetable garden rather than Telimena. And certainly no one will make you wear a tuxedo, lace and satin. Instead, we will place you in interiors filled with Polish and Scandinavian design, where the courtly past can be seen in inspirations, but history says a cheerful "hello" to modernity. And if you were still wondering which Mazovian palace appeared on the cover of the hip-hop album, the considerations can be considered closed.
An hour away from Warsaw, in a hundred-year-old landscape park with a pond, an old orchard and flower meadows, there is the Krzykosy Palace. It has been standing for almost 100 years, because the history of its creation dates back to 1926. It is a project of Kazimierz Rutkowski, one of the most famous architects of Polish interwar mansions. And because Kazimierz was designing for his brother, Władysław, he could afford more slack. Thus, the palace is modeled more on an Italian villa than on a classic Masovian court. And you know what? You can feel it. We have a small Masovian Tuscany here. Expanses of greenery, rays of the setting sun coming through windows with muntins, walking paths among tall trees. We have a veranda straight from an Italian movie and a vine-covered Holiday House. We are for social gatherings for smaller and larger groups. The kind where, listening to the laughter of your favorite people and eating delicious food, you think that life is sweet.
We are for groups that want to meet in unusual circumstances. For parties: birthdays, communions, company meetings or weekends together of long-unseen friends.
You can rent:
1. Palace
2. Palace with a Holiday House (complete or only with individual studios)
3. Palace with the Old Inn / Palace with the Holiday House (in whole or in part) and the Old Inn
Neither the Holiday House nor the Old Inn are rented separately. The basis is renting the Palace, and if your group has more than 20 people, then we will arrange guests in the Holiday House.
Details about each of these places can be found at the individual booking facilities.
A familiar catering company takes care of the food in our palace.
You don't have to buy catering - you can provide the food yourself. We had guests who even came with their own cook.
The apartments in the Recreation House have kitchenettes. The larger ones, in studios for 7-8 people, have refrigerators and dishwashers. The smaller ones – no. All kitchenettes have cooking hobs.
Guests who crave boredom: silence and being in nature come to us most often. Krzykosy Palace is a social meeting place and apart from the fact that it's the coolest thing to meet people here, it's just as good to slow down the pace in private once you've enjoyed your presence. There is no shortage of space to get lost for a moment of relaxation, and then find it for communing with the rest of the group.
In the palace and park you can:
– spend time in the living room and on the terrace talking,
– watch movies on DVD from our very large collection in the TV room,
– read: in the grass, in the armchairs in bed… there is a large library in the palace,
- play board games,
– go for walks in the park, garden and forest,
– pick apples in the orchard and raspberries from the bushes,
– make a bonfire by the pond or barbecue.
And in the near and far surroundings you can:
– go to Płock, and there: visit numerous monuments, e.g. the historic market square and town hall, the Gothic Małachowianka with a fabulously colorful hall, the Cathedral Basilica from the 12th century with its colorful polychromes, Tumskie Hill with a beautiful view of the Vistula River below; visit the Mazovian Museum (the oldest Polish museum!) with its Art Nouveau and Art Deco collection and the Museum of Mazovian Jews,
– go to one of the music festivals in Płock: Audioriver with electronic and club music or the Polish Hip-Hop Festival,
– visit the Brudzeński Landscape Park, stretching on the right bank of the Vistula near Płock: it is a good place for canoeists wanting to go down the Skrwa, keen ornithologists or just walkers; 150-year-old oaks grow in the park and there are as many as 27 nature monuments,
– ride to the Gostynińsko-Włocławski Landscape Park (70 km from us): it's a bit longer trip, but maybe you haven't been able to visit this park, half in Mazovia and half in Kujawsko-Pomorskie - it has a lot of great forest bicycle routes, lakes, many wild corners, bicycle points and historical places: the palace and park complex in Nowy Duninów or historic wooden cottages.
What’s there for children?
In addition to the truly princely experience of sleeping in the palace, we also have rural and idyllic entertainment here. You can catch fish in the pond or pick fruit and vegetables like Zosia from Pan Tadeusz. We also have a playground, and inside there are books for children and board games.
What’s there for employees?
There will definitely be space for work, but we suspect that you will not come here to work. The Internet works well enough to perform less advanced tasks while working online.
