The history of our agritourism is like Christmas bigos, a little bit of everything. Or like the summer salad we serve you for breakfast - diverse. In the 17th century, an inn stood on the site of the house and operated for over 100 years. After World War II (until the 1990s) there was a common room here, where, to the accompaniment of the Wolimiera orchestra, events took place, among others. weddings. In the 1960s, even a traveling cinema stopped here, thanks to which residents could watch the first color film "Teutonic Knights". Later, the artistic era came when, in 1991, the Klinika Lalek Theater from Wrocław moved to Wolimierz. Theater artists lived and staged performances here, in the former community center, i.e. in Szajba. However, the building burned down in 1998, and the Doll Clinic found its base at Stacja Wolimierz, where it operates to this day. Our house was built on the foundations of the former inn in 2007. Initially, the Huskyfarm agritourism farm operated here, whose owners bred Huskies and took part in dog sled races.
In 2021, our chapter of history began. Smelling of homemade bread from Marcin's hand, warm like Chmurek who greets you at the door, exciting like Piotrek's active micro-expeditions. We will be happy to welcome everyone in our home. Cold-lovers will take a seat by the fireplace, those looking for peace will sit with a book on the terrace or in the inn, and those looking for adventure and contemplation of nature will head to the Jizera Mountains after breakfast. If you rent a room from us, you will find silence, birds singing and at most a slight rustle of the wind outside the window. If you have the entire house for your exclusive use, you can play or study as much as you want.
So come to Wola (this is what the locals affectionately call Wolimierz). We invite you to a very crazy village in the Jizera Foothills.
Everyone is welcome at the DoWoli guesthouse in Wolimierz. We open our large dining room, called the inn, to guests looking for good food (we serve breakfast here), a reading corner (we have a lot of books) or the warmth of the fireplace. Our coffee tastes delicious in the garden and on the terrace. On sunny days you can bask in the sun on deck chairs or on blankets on the grass. We prefer walking around the garden barefoot, which we also recommend :)
IMPORTANT! The house is rented for rooms and exclusively.
We would like to point out that if you rent a room, you will definitely find peace, quiet and only birds singing outside the window. And sometimes there's still a breeze. If you rent the entire house, that's a different conversation, then you can organize parties or other events.
We have 8 rooms and 1 apartment for you, all with their own bathrooms. The rooms are in a cozy rustic style, full of natural wooden furniture. The rooms also have blankets and reading lamps. There are no TVs, but the wifi works great. There is soap and toilet paper in the bathrooms.
DoWoli has many corners and rooms to hide out, together or alone.
At your disposal is:
– an inn-style dining room with a fireplace and a coffee bean machine,
– shared kitchen with a fridge and kitchen utensils (plates, cups, cutlery, pots, dishwasher, oven),
– dance or workshop room with a projector,
– free parking on the property,
– a large terrace where meals and coffee taste delicious,
– a large garden with a large lawn for team games or sunbathing (on a deckchair, in a hammock or simply on the grass),
– a place for a bonfire with a grill and a brick grill, in case of bad weather there is a covered shelter next to it.
Breakfast at DoWoli is optional. You will eat as much as you can fit, and we will add even more. We have bread baked on site with our own sourdough, vegetable pastes, cocktails, local honey and eggs. We make salads, our own preserves (sweet and salty), liqueurs, and bake cakes.
Breakfast is not the only type of food you can get from us! After prior arrangement, we are ready to prepare lunches, dinners, cold buffets, and products for bonfires/barbecues for you. If you are a group of min. 20 people, please let us know and we will arrange everything with you :)
We get phacelia honey from Mr. Ryszard, and fresh cottage cheese from Tereska. Everything from Wolimierz. Goat cheese is also on the fence, so there is something to feed you. Only the best.
The house has a fully equipped kitchen for guests. Each room has its own shelf in the shared fridge and a place in the kitchen for storing dry products. There is an oven, induction hobs for cooking and frying, a dishwasher, plates, cutlery, pots, coffee, tea and other necessary items for preparing tasty meals and drinks.
Every day starts with a decent breakfast, because you will need a lot of energy for all these attractions. Any amount of calories will be burned on hiking, cycling, skiing trails and even on the beaches (at Lake Złotnicki and Lake Leśniańskie).
Sweet lazing at home and a short walk around Wolimierz is of course also a good idea :)
Let us think about the fact that we have been working on our original guide to the area for over a year, which is still not complete and already has over 40 pages. We share it with each of our guests so that the knowledge we have acquired is not wasted. But so that you can go to the forest, to the mountains, winter swimming, to a waterfall or to the other side of the border, to the Czech Republic.
In the guide, we describe the lovers' rocks, the trail of former mines, the ruins of Oybin Castle, Frydland Cimburi, swimming pools and saunas, horse rides, places with local pottery, the nearest ski slopes, brilliant single-track bicycle paths and much more. This amount of outdoor activity can make you feel dizzy.
Taking a closer look at the guide, we invite you to Wolimierz, the Jizera Mountains and Upper Lusatia.
Starting from our backyard and behind the fence, if you have ever heard of Wolimierz, you probably know that extraordinary people live here, some say crazy. It's not surprising, because artists from the Wrocław theater - Klinika Lalek, settled here and began to lead a bohemian life and organize art in a small village in Jizera. In 1991, the first art festival took place in Stacja Wolimierz and it has been going on for over 30 years. The Interplanetary Kingdom of Art attracts people from all over Poland and the world with its atmosphere and program, and accommodation in the entire area is booked long before the event.
However, this is not the only interesting initiative. Concerts, performances, meetings and circles take place in the area throughout the year.
If art isn't enough for you, you can take a walk to Szklana Kuźnia, which is a shop, gallery and workshop in one. Workshops are held individually and for groups, and you can buy a beautiful, handmade glass souvenir on site.
Here in DoWola you can laze around, read books, hammock, practice yoga in the garden, and lounge around.
And also in the guide:
- kayaking and crazy rafting,
- the best single tracks,
- bicycle routes checked by us,
- winter and summer attractions,
- nearby and distant ski stations,
- hiking routes from our house and further to the Jizera Mountains and Foothills,
- cities and towns to visit,
- workshops worth trying,
- list of local products,
- attractions in the Czech Republic,
- nearby castles and palaces,
- attractions for children.
It's hard to stay at home when the Jizera Mountains are right next to you, come and see for yourself.
What’s there for children?
Even though we don't have any special amenities for children, families love to come to us and don't want to leave. We have a large yard, hammocks, deckchairs and a fireplace to warm little feet after a day of snowy adventures. Our travel guide includes many attractions for the whole family.
Regardless of the weather, go to Bolesławiec for a workshop on painting your own patterns on ceramics or to Julia Glassworks. Such a mug with your own invention or a personalized glass bauble is the best gift. After all, it doesn't have to be perfect to be beautiful. Children also love alpacas in nearby Proszówka. You can pet them, take them for a walk and feed them carrots as much as you want.
You don't have to look far, sometimes just a few days with your family at home and leisurely walks around the neighborhood is enough.
What’s there for employees?
In each room we have foldable desks, vintage style. There is space in the workshop room for large meetings and training (projector with overhead projector).
Additionally, you can work in the garden or on the terrace (as in the photos) or, if the house is exclusive, there are about 8 tables with comfortable chairs in the dining room. If you come to us for solo work, you can also work in the inn, in the garden or in your room.
The Internet is fast, 180 / 25 Mb/s
There is always freshly ground coffee and stimulating tea at home. And after work, go to the mountains and explore our beautiful area.
