Here's what we have here: our plot is actually a combination of four, so our old house, once part of Teresa's farm, is located on quite a large land (10 ha). The plot reaches the Bug itself: when you cross the dirt road, you will have access to the river. There you can go and look into the water, or possibly cast a fishing rod - however, we will send you elsewhere for sunbathing, to a gentler shore. The house is old and we tried to salvage what we could from it: the old floor and wooden walls. It's a family job. My Dad helped us the most: he is passionate about renovating old houses and flats. And we arranged it our way - colorful, cozy and using Danish design. All furniture and accessories except beds and kitchen are recycled. For months, we assembled them at sales in Denmark, which is famous for its applied arts. What we have here: – 100 m² for 2 or 3 couples with children, one big family or a group of friends who like to relax in peace, – 2 bedrooms with a door between them, – a living room with a fold-out sofa bed, – a bathroom with a shower, – a terrace with a table where you can drink coffee on warm days, – a plot that is only partially fenced – so it may happen that cows come to visit you. It is not allowed to build around us, so you can count on privacy in this place. In addition, we planted 2,000 new trees on the plot. The nearest houses are several hundred meters away. We have an agreement with nearby farmers that they can use our field, which is below the house, so there may be someone hanging around during the harvest. However, we believe that this will not affect the quality of your rest.

You will rule in the kitchen. It is well equipped, so you can cook dinner for the whole team on a four-burner stove, and bake a cake in the oven, and drink coffee from the espresso machine. No solvent and Chinese soups there. As it is in the village - many of our neighbors will be happy to sell you something to eat. You can buy fresh eggs, cheese or milk in the area. Who exactly, we suggest below. And if you don't dream of cooking at all, you can cross the river to Kamieńczyk for dinner. There is a good inn there, where they serve tasty Polish cuisine, and before dinner you can grab a snack for the hungry, bread with cottage cheese.

This is our escape from Warsaw, our rural kingdom of boredom, a place where doing nothing sounds like the best plan. If we were you, we would leave all important matters behind and just enjoy the fact that the sun is shining and the grass is growing, or in the winter they would warm themselves by the fireplace for hours. In the house and its immediate surroundings you can: – read books in a rocking chair in the living room, – eat breakfast on a wooden terrace, – swing in a hammock and think about blue almonds, – make a barbecue or a bonfire in the forest, in a designated place, – walk around the village, go to the river or to the forest, – go cross-country skiing in winter, – play badminton (we have rackets for you), – ride a bike on the nearby roads. Interesting places and pleasant things are also waiting for you in the area: – There is a Bug: we would not recommend swimming in it, but in a place prepared by the commune, 5-8 min. from here, you can lie down with a blanket and possibly help your legs; in the spring fishing is good, and in the period June-August we recommend kayaks (you can rent them from our neighbor 1 km from here, you can also arrange that the kayaks will be brought to you anywhere). – There is Liwiec: about 1.5 km from here it flows into the Bug, it is a smaller and much calmer river and there you can lie down and take a bath; You can also kayak on Liwiec. – Opposite us, on the other side of the river, lies Kamieńczyk. You can get to it by ferry, and the crossing is just a stone's throw away. It is a supervillage, because it has its own colorful history - and the best way to tell you about it is Mr. Henryk from the local private Ethnographic and Historical Museum, who, out of passion for this place, gathered a large exhibition there. Kamieńczyk used to be a royal town and until the 17th century it was called Kamieniec Mazowiecki. In the 19th and 20th centuries, it became a rafting settlement. Today you will see old wooden houses there, eat good cakes in the inn and spend a very nice afternoon. - It is also close to Szumin, and there is the famous house of Zofia and Oskar Hansen, which is a manifesto of the Open Form that guided Oskar Hansen in his work. Today it is a branch of the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw. To visit the Hansens summer resort, you need to make an appointment in advance via the application form, which you can find on the Internet.
