“In life, sometimes you have to know when to stand and when to sit” – sang T-rappers from Znad Wisły in '96. And here, only on the Bug, not on the Vistula, you have a chance to acquire this valuable knowledge. Standing on the edge of our plot, you can look into the waters of the river, or even better: behind it, at the historic Kamieńczyk, to which you can take a ferry. Sitting on the terrace, you can watch your neighbors lazily strolling in front of the house: cows, because we supposedly have a wooden fence here, but not one that would particularly discourage them. We also agreed with friendly farmers that they can use our field, the one along which you will reach the river. This is where the Bug riverside village unfolds. The scenery is idyllic north-western Mazovia, and the action takes place in a house with a terrace, perfect for a family or friendly holiday.
We found this land while going to a film set nearby. We can only reveal that we were shooting a cheese commercial at the time, and many cows also appeared in it. Among the fields, by the river, we saw an old farm, which we had already converted into our summer resort in our imagination. We still had to buy them back - but we managed. The plot twist is that Mrs. Teresa, who owned the house with the barn, turned out to be my distant relative. We saw each other for the first time in our lives, and it was as if she had known me since I was little. And this story has such an ending today: a house with old wooden walls and a new Scandinavian decor, saved with the help of my Dad. People come here most often in groups, with kids, with a dog, with plans for everything that Brańszczyk is good for. For an idyllic weekend outside Warsaw, walks in the countryside and riverside trips.
