The justice of the sheep is that everyone deserves to graze here. Coffee on the terrace with a landscape of forested hills is a sacred right of our guests. An evening session in a hot tub belongs to tired townspeople like sheep to beet pulp. And walks to the stream and to the hill above, from where there is a phenomenal panorama of the mountains, we order you to enjoy the Charms of the Tatra Sheep. You will not go to Podhale whistles, not to be amazed by the view of snow-covered peaks towering over the forest.
They say that you can get the best oscypek in Podhale in Leśnica. We laugh that we have our share in them. It is the sheep grazing our grass that give milk, from which the local shepherd's grandson makes oscypek cheese. We have special arrangements with the shepherd Staszek - if you whisper to him or us that you want such oscypek cheese, we will conduct a subtle cheese dealer here. And if you plan to enrich your travel diet with other regional delicacies - don't be afraid: we won't leave you with anything. A list of tasty local recommendations is waiting for you in the house and you won't leave the Głodówka Hostel with empty bellies. In Łosie there are two cozy cottages for exclusive use, where sheep, guests and shepherd with juhas, both named Staszek, live in harmony. There is a hot tub for exclusive use, a terrace with deckchairs and a goat to warm yourself on winter afternoons. come.
We have two modern houses here with a view of the forest and the peaks emerging from behind it. It's good for families, groups of friends, and couples also come here. Children can play on the fenced plot, you can also take your dog with you.
We are away from the cemetery, in nature, off the beaten track - if you want to get to know the peaceful face of Podhale, this is the address. From here you can reach the trails and ski lifts, but you can also spend time on the plot and in the surrounding nature.
House layout:
– downstairs: kitchen with living room with a fold-out sofa (2 people can sleep on it),
- bathroom with shower,
– at the top: 2 bedrooms on the mezzanine separated by a wall,
· bedroom no. 1 with a double bed,
· bedroom no. 2 with two single beds,
– terrace 30 m².
The house is year-round, has underfloor heating and a wood stove.
There is a hot tub in the garden for your exclusive use (each house has its own). The cost of replacing water and wood to heat the water is PLN 200 for a 2-hour bath.
The mezzanine is open, so each bedroom has a view of the mountains. Even though the bedrooms are separated by a wall, they do not provide 100% privacy.
There are two houses in our neighborhood - one of them uninhabited, the other belonging to our neighbor. However, the plots are large, no one will interfere with your parade, you can count on freedom.
Private parking will be at your disposal.
The main reason why it is worth cooking in our kitchen is the view of the forest from above the kitchen counter. You rent the house exclusively and you will have to organize the food yourself.
We take food seriously and we have an exhaustive list of local restaurants where you can eat tasty food. Below you will find only some of the recommendations. There will be an even longer list waiting for you there, enriched with shops in the area, proven places in Zakopane and specific information on where to eat sour rye soup and where to eat pizza. You will not leave Podhale hungry.
Many of our guests choose the "I stay where I am" option because they say they don't need more to be happy. The repertoire of attractions here is limited to a perfectly non-stimulating list of slow pleasures. You can:
– warm up in the hot tub in front of the house and sip drinks with bubbles
–spend winter evenings by the goat, with a book, with a wonderful view from the window,
– go sledding, which we have for you on site,
– on warm days, enjoy the time and views on the terrace,
– make a bonfire (we have a specially designated place with seats, deckchairs, sticks and prepared wood),
– talk to the shepherd and the shepherd Staszek when they are grazing sheep next to them from spring to autumn,
– talk to the sheep when they look at you through the fence, which is not an obstacle for them,
– go to Gliczarów Górne, a village 2 km from here, where there is a viewpoint from which there is a spectacular panorama of the Tatra Mountains,
– take a walk to the stream below, which looks enchanted with mosses and ferns growing along it; at all, walk along the local country paths.
Moreover, the entire Podhale region is waiting for you, which you can discover at your own pace.
– 3 km from here is Bukowina Tatrzańska. There, we recommend visiting the People's House - one of the largest and most famous wooden buildings in Poland. It hosts workshops for children and adults (e.g. pottery, glass painting, ceramics). In February, don't miss the Highlander Carnival with a bandit dance competition and the atmosphere of a folk carnival party!
– It's also close to Białka, but if you don't like the atmosphere of a mountain resort, it's worth knowing where to go. Off the beaten track, locals recommend the Białka River - one of the cleanest in Poland. Forgotten and avoided by tourists, it has numerous corners where you can relax on the stone coast and spend a nice day. For stunning views, go to the Białka Gorge nature reserve near Krempachy. In addition to the river, there are rocks for climbing, forests, caves and plenty of great places for hiking.
– Remember that Zakopane, apart from the crowded Krupówki Street and the "Crazy Fry" stands, also has a more noble face. For a meeting with history, come to the Tatra Museum. There you will discover the ancient spirit of Podhale and explore the history of old wooden houses. We also recommend visiting Willa Koliba - the first house in the Zakopane style built according to the design of Stanisław Witkiewicz, the Art Gallery in the Oksza villa and the Władysław Hasior gallery.
– We would like to inform cycling fans that the royal stage of the Tour de Pologne runs through Bukowina. The routes are demanding or quite gentle (usually forest). Mountain biking, road biking, MTB/downhill - whatever you choose, you will find something for yourself here. You can also rent an electric bike to hit the trails with assistance.
– Winter madness can be enjoyed on numerous ski slopes scattered around the area: Białka Tatrzańska, Bukowina, Czorsztyn-Ski, Bachledka Ski & Sun (a brilliant ski resort in Slovakia), Remiaszów Wierch.
Or maybe on the trail? For those who are more ambitious and come to us to relax in a hot tub only after their exertion, we suggest:
– Red: Groń - Bukowina Tatrzańska (Klin) - Brzegi - Jurgów - Rzepiska - Czarna Góra - Bukowina Tatrzańska (Dolna).
– Blue: Białka Tatrzańska (church) - "Royal Road" - Groń (church) - Leśnica (Sądel estate) - Gliczarów Górny.
– Yellow: Białka Tatrzańska (Litworowy Staw) - Jankulakowski Wierch "Droga Królewska" - Groń (Gile estate) - Leśnica (Gały estate).
– Green: Białka Tatrzańska (Kaniówka) - Horników Wierch ("Royal Road") - Groń (Piekorze estate) - Leśnica (Wojtusice estate).
– Blue: Bukowina Tatrzańska Dolna "Księżycowa Dolina" - Przeddomiański Wierch - Spišski Wierch - Church - Rusiński Wierch.
Look, you're going to be in the mountains, and that in itself gives rise to ideas for adventure. In winter, you can shuffle with us on sleds and apples, which will be waiting for your kids (we have 3 pairs of sleds and additionally some more modest equipment). And when the spring redyk is over, life begins with us as in a fairy tale about Shaun the Sheep - sheep are everywhere. You can watch their habits curiously, touch the woolen fur and learn from the shepherd how sheep cheese is made.
In addition, we have prepared books and board games for kids. In the spring, we will build a house outside, there will be swings and equipment for outdoor games.
The Internet may not be provided by Elon Musk, but it is possible to work. You will write an e-mail, handle the table in Excel and other basic activities. We don't have desks, but you can lay out with your laptop at the table in the living room. The good news is that the internet is also available on the terrace, so you can always work from a deckchair, looking at the forest and nearby peaks.
