We are in such seclusion that even the Google car that was heading in our direction gave up and turned back. Yellow fields of oilseed rape, white apple orchards, greying century-old cottages, stork nests on pillars, puzzling lakes emerging from around the bend - this is our landscape. A few more kilometres along a gently winding road, and all over again: yellow, white, green, a small lake.... Maybe for some it's boring, but for us it's a lovely patchwork of Lithuanian nature. At one such lake we built our first rental house. Somewhat for ourselves, as we also sometimes need an escape from the city, somewhat for guests. Maybe more houses will be built on these shores in the future, but for now the 360° view belongs only to us. Do you feel like this is something for you? Then welcome to a cosy nook for two or four people.

We are located halfway between the Nemunas Loop and the Kaunas Lagoon, near Birštan, Jiezna, Prienai and only one hour from Kaunas. If you are tired of the city, we are waiting for you here with a hot jacuzzi, a view of the lake and uninterrupted peace.

We are located in Jiezno district, about 20 km. to the Kaunas lagoon, by the small Surmius lake. The surroundings of the cabin are very calm and green: fields, small fir and birch forests, the lonely Bird Mound, similar to an extinct volcano, - and no outsiders. Do you want to get away from everyday worries, unwashed dishes, unfinished messages, trying to guess more than you can...? We are waiting for you in Ežerėja, where we ourselves discovered an oasis of peace.

We have prepared a cabin with an outdoor Jacuzzi bath for our guests. Inside you will find a space with a biofireplace, a mini kitchen, a table and a sofa, and on the mezzanine there is a double mattress. The shower room has guest robes, towels, shower gel, body lotion and shampoo.

The house is suitable for visiting all year round, the temperature inside is maintained by an air-air heating system (air conditioner).

We do not accept larger four-legged friends, but we welcome well-groomed small and medium-sized dogs and cats. Please notify the animal in advance.

It's fun to grill on the lake shore. In the cabin you will find all the necessary equipment and tools.
Food can be heated inside - there is a small stove.

If you do not want to take care of cooking, please let us know before your arrival. We will prepare a breakfast menu for you, an offer for the whole day or two meals - directly from the Old Town Grill restaurant in Biršton.

Come to Surmius to breathe fresh air, listen to the rustling of trees, soak in a hot tub with massage jets. We don't have a sandy beach yet, but we highly recommend our deep and clean lake for diving enthusiasts. With an Amateur fishing permit, you can fish: the lake has pike, sturgeon, and perch. The list of entertainment continues with climbing the famous Bird Mound (on the other side of the lake), communal grilling, cozy evenings by the fireplace and, at the end of the day, watching sunsets - or stars - from the terrace.

If you want something extra, take a look at Pociūnai Airport. The gliding club operating at its base is, according to the owners, the largest in the Baltic States and well-regarded among European gliding lovers. Here you can book a sightseeing flight in an airplane, a recreational flight in a glider, learn to glide yourself or jump with a parachute. Reviews say it's safe, fun and definitely worth a try.

On the way to Pociūnis, stop in Biršton, look at the bends of the Nemunas from the Biršton observation tower or from Vytautas mountain, take a walk around the town itself. There are many cycling and walking routes in the vicinity of Birštonas - you can find them at visitbirstonas.lt/marsrutai/.

The cottage sleeps two on the mezzanine, two more adults (or two children) can sleep on the sofa below. Sleeping upstairs is attractive for children and may seem like an adventure, but we ask parents to appreciate in advance that the mezzanine is accessed by a folding staircase, and the edges of the mezzanine are not protected by handrails. The cabin is not suitable for a stay with a baby and children under 12 years old.
