Do you see these four pine cones in our logo? The two big ones are us, Szymon and Beata, and the smaller ones are our kids. We took the idea for the name of the glamping site from the nickname Szymon had as a guard in the Roztoczańska Horse Guard for Nature Protection. 25th Greater Poland Uhlan Regiment - Szysza. In ancient times, Szysza mounted a horse and traveled through the lands of green Roztocze together with his brave companions. As a horse guard, he educated tourists, kept the forests clean, cultivated equestrian traditions and took care of the maintenance of the horses. Everything to protect the priceless natural areas of the Roztocze National Park.
When the season comes, Szymon is still patrolling the forests, although no longer as an active-duty ranger. Now it serves as the guardian of a good climate at our glamping site. He has several solemn duties. Taking care of the temperature in the hot tub in the evenings. Taking care of the kayaks that will take you on a rafting trip down the picturesque Wieprz River. Or even organize an evening movie outdoors. When a group of kids gathers, Beata will be happy to prepare a forest field game with puzzles for them. And together we will invite you to an evening of Roztocze Stories with a guide. There are 4 cozy tents in the middle of the forest. Just stick your nose out of the gate to stuff your cheeks with fresh berries straight from the bush. We have enough hammocks and loungers for everyone to lounge around. Unfledged kayakers, dreamy couples, families with children - come by! It's just forested here.
ATTENTION! Cones from the Forest have just moved to a new place. We are waiting for you now in the forest near the Wieprz River.
CONES FROM THE FOREST OPEN A NEW CHAPTER! So far we have been on the Tanwia River, now we are moving to the Zwierzynieckie forests.
Our new place is in the middle of the forest, which can be reached from the main road by about 300 m along a forest road. There are huge blueberry fields at the border of the plot (seriously!), and in the fall there are plenty of mushrooms.
The village is called BAGNO, it is located 1.5 km from Zwierzyniec - the Heart of Roztocze. To the right of the glamping site - about a kilometer to the river, and to the left 400 meters to the Green Trail of the Roztocze National Park.
We have 4 tents, they are decorated to make you comfortable and cozy. They have basic furniture: chests of drawers and bedside tables, and equipment: fresh bedding, clean towels, blankets, romantic lighting, a set of cutlery and mini tableware, an electric kettle, coffee and tea. We also have natural cosmetics and even slippers for you.
The two tents in the Premium version are much more spacious and additionally equipped with coffee tables with armchairs, clothes hangers and bathrobes.
In premium you will also find a small fridge.
In front of each tent there is a garden umbrella and a table with chairs. Each tent has its own hammock on a frame and deckchairs.
There is electricity in all tents, but no internet.
At your disposal is one shared glamping bathroom with 2 showers and 3 sinks and a toilet with sewerage. It is located in a bathroom container and we maintain a high standard - you do not have to worry about running hot water or comfort.
We don't have a kitchen, but we have a place for a bonfire and a barbecue, which only complements the glamping spirit, so for meals we recommend, for example, sausages and grilled vegetables. Each tent has cutlery, cups, plates and an electric kettle, so you can prepare breakfast and dinner without any problems.
If you can't imagine standing at the pot in summer, for an additional fee we will provide you with breakfast baskets every morning, containing fresh bread and other delicacies.
For lunch, we recommend a walk to Zwierzyniec, where everyone will find something for themselves.
Glamping days are lazy, but that doesn't mean it's boring. However, you must know that this type of rest is for those who like very close contact with nature. It will be especially nice for those who do not shy away from activity, because the area is conducive to physical activities. We also invite everyone who wants to get to know Roztocze.
The Central Roztocze Bicycle Trail runs along the main road (300 m from us). We have very charming bicycle routes here and 6 bicycles for rent (2 women's, 2 men's, 2 children's and 1 children's chair). You can cycle along a safe and wide bicycle path to Zwierzyniec (1.5 km) or visit Chrząszcz from Szczebrzeszyn (10 km).
There is a beautiful wide sidewalk nearby, leading straight to Zwierzyniec for shopping/dinner/trip/evening concert/movie during the annual Summer Film Academy (in August), you can go for a walk, by scooter, with a stroller or by bike. You don't have to start the car at all.
About a kilometer in a straight line through fields separates us from the Wieprz River. Anglers (and we had several such enthusiasts last season) will certainly be happy with a wild place where they can relax and "help their fishing rods".
Roztocze National Park
There is a wild Polish horse living in the forests of the Roztocze National Park and that is reason enough to go there. If you don't see horses on the forest road, you can go to their refuge in Florianka. There are also many more of them - it is worth taking a walk along the Dune Path to Stawy Echo and the educational path to Bukowa Góra.
You can also go almost nowhere and enjoy the bliss of glamping life. On site we offer you:
– endless concerts of forest birds in a private hammock
– relaxation in a hot tub under the starry sky,
– evening movie screenings – we have a projector and a large screen here – on request, we will organize a movie screening for you, just let us know that you would be interested,
– bonfires that you will prepare on your own,
– for lovers of historical facts, we can organize a MEETING WITH A GUIDE around a bonfire – our friendly guide will tell you the Roztocze stories.
If you are bored with our forest and you like to bask in the sun - you can go to the beach at Stawa Echo (4 km) or to the swimming pool "Rudka" (4 km).
We will also help you organize a kayaking trip on the picturesque Wieprz River. You will find routes here that may take you an hour or even 8 hours to complete!
What if you want to meet culture and art? Within driving distance there are:
Zoo
There are plenty of attractions in Zwierzyniec, including delicious ice cream and local food (e.g. Piróg Biłgorajski, Zwierzyniec beer), through monuments and trailheads. There are also Echo Ponds and Rudka Zalew (approx. 4 km from us), where you can swim and sunbathe on the sandy beach. About 3 km from us there is an Educational and Museum Center with the exhibition "In the land of fir, beech and tarpan", which we especially recommend to children. The duty of every self-respecting tourist ;) is to take a photo on the bridge next to the phenomenal church "on the water" and take a walk to Bukowa Góra (one of the nicest viewpoints and reserve in Zwierzyniec). Additionally, Florianka, Zwierzyńczyk, the Plenimpotent Palace and of course the Zwierzyniecki Brewery from 1806, which you can visit and taste :)
The Summer Film Academy also takes place in Zwierzyniec, to which we refer all cinema lovers. The Academy is not only about films but also many outdoor accompanying events.
Zamość
The city built by Jan Zamoyski is included on the Unesco World Heritage List. Zamość is said to be the Polish pearl of the Renaissance. Be sure to visit the Zamość market square with the oldest operating pharmacy in Poland (from the early 17th century). It is also worth visiting the walls surrounding the Zamość Fortress, the best-preserved late Renaissance synagogue in Poland, or seeing the house where Marek Grechuta was born.
If you would like to go on a trip around the unusual corners of Roztocze with or without a guide, let us know and we will help you find your way on maps, show you the way and the most interesting places.
What’s there for children?
We welcome children with open tents. We saw with our own eyes how much fun it is to stay overnight with the elderly while glamping. Especially if you find some camaraderie next door. Here, kids will have a break from tablets and traditional toys. You can run barefoot from morning to evening, throwing pine cones at a target, or build a hut in the forest. There's always a deck of cards or paper somewhere and a box of crayons in case it rains.
