We are located on the edge of a real village full of contrasts, at the foot of the Jizera Mountains. Right next to the forest, where the gravel road ends and the wilderness begins. Here, deer emerge from the trees, spotted cows graze in an endless meadow and hares hopping on it. We pride ourselves on the excellent mountain view and silence that can surprise newcomers from the city. We have created an asylum here for nature lovers, idyll fans, dog lovers and romantic souls. The days are filled with unhurried walks, reading, lying in the meadow, drinking coffee on the terrace and tasting what it's like to just be. Evenings are from admiration of the sky interspersed with millions of stars, laughter to the loss of breath and staring at the sparks crackling in the fire.
Three of our houses, which we built ourselves, are dedicated to double configurations. It is in them that they bring the most space and freedom. Each is size S and has an eclectic interior with a cozy feel, with a distinct hint of retro. They fit all the most necessary things: a double bed on the mezzanine, a small room with extra sleeping places (if you were three or four, though), a coffee machine and a dog bed. You can feel the soothing repetition of days here, the warm wind brings memories of carefree childhood and soothes longing. Intimate relaxation has signs of sensuality, and the views are a real feast for the eyes.
You will find us at the end of the village. Where the asphalt ends and the wilderness begins, under the forest and on the hill, there are our 3 houses. Two of them - Szczebiotka (located centrally) and Fidrygałka (located closest to the common area) are identical to each other and are at your disposal. The third Urwipołeć house is located in the upper part of the plot and is currently our house, which we do not offer for rent yet.
We have 3.5 hectares of land surrounded by forest, pastures and with a panorama of the Jizera Mountains (in good weather, the Karkonosze Mountains also emerge). We also have a meadow where the neighbor's cows run into and storks come. We are dog-loving and welcome with pets, but please note that we do not have a fence. And be sure to let us know before your arrival so that we can prepare the bowl and bed.
Each of the houses has a modern form and a mountain charm. They all have the same size: 30 m² + 15 m² mezzanine, and inside:
– a spacious living room with a well-equipped kitchenette,
– a comfortable bathroom with a shower,
– an air-conditioned bedroom with a double bed on an open mezzanine,
– a small room with an extra bed (size 90x200, but it can be unfolded and then it is 180x200 cm),
- TV with wifi.
We have created them with a couple in mind and in a double configuration you will be most comfortable in their interiors, but you can also fit in them with three or even four.
The houses are set at different angles to give you as much privacy as possible. Each of them has a large terrace with a seating set, which makes it easier to contemplate nature.
Right next to the houses there is a flower meadow and a path leading to the common area. We have there:
– a fire ring with an adjustable grate,
– a roofed, illuminated gazebo for bad weather and integration.
In the gazebo there is also a special place to store bicycles and larger items, which can be safely locked.
As for the internet, you need to know that we are located in the countryside and we cannot guarantee you a fiber-optic connection.
Also know that Giebułtów is a full-fledged village - it is full of charm, but it also has a different face - it is made up of neglected farms and the hardships of everyday work of their inhabitants.
You rule the kitchen! You have a small annex at your disposal, which we have well equipped. The list of the most important appliances: a large fridge with a freezer, a dishwasher, a portable induction hob with two burners, an oven-grill, a kettle, a small coffee maker and all kinds of utensils needed to prepare and serve dishes.
Cooking when you have the time can be extremely creative. So unleash your creative powers, and then enjoy your food on the terrace, surrounded by nature, with a view of the mountain panorama.
In the cottages we leave you good, welcome coffee and tea. For everything necessary for a culinary experience, head to Mirsk (about 3 km), where there is a market every Saturday. You can buy home-made eggs, milk, cheese, fruit, vegetables and bread there. There is a local shop in Giebułtów that will satisfy sudden, but rather basic needs. The area is full of places where you can buy regional products, as well as taste the exquisite dishes of the chefs. There are many places in our area that deal with the conscious production of regional products. In the houses there is a guidebook in which we share verified addresses.
On the border of Bukolika there are tracts of blackberry, fruit trees, currant and gooseberry bushes. In summer you can enjoy this boon.
We believe that a little laziness never hurt anyone. For starters, we recommend turning off the alarm clocks and taking it easy. In our meadow you can sit and meditate. The same can be done on the terrace, because the view from it is conducive to immersion in thoughts. In the cottage at your disposal is a Smart TV and a small collection of books and board games.
When you get tired of contemplating, be sure to go for a walk. There is a real abundance of hiking and cycling routes in Giebułtów. Right behind the gate of our houses, many paths begin, the most interesting of which is the historic chestnut alley leading to the ruins of the baroque palace of the von Uechtritz family. The same road will take you to the highest hill of the Izerskie Foothills called Wojkowa. However, do not expect fireworks, getting to the top takes a few minutes, it takes longer to look for a plate with its name.
There is a forest behind the houses. In winter, deer shyly look out of it, in early spring birds start their concerts, in summer its proximity allows you to survive the worst heat, and the autumn color palette looks like a picture.
In the season, you can go mushroom picking to the forest, enjoy the silence and discover hidden paths. One of them will lead you to the remains of the hunting lodge of the former owner of the Czocha castle. Further through forest and field areas you will reach a local attraction, which is the Słupiec basalt rock formation, a remnant of a small volcanic chimney.
A little further afield has a lot to offer. You will finally be at the foot of the Jizera Mountains, it is impossible to get bored visiting such a culturally rich region:
- Go to Rębiszów for an infinite number of bicycle routes, to Antoniów to get acquainted with the architecture of half-timbered houses, to Kwieciszowice to try regional cuisine in the Guest House - Kwieci, and to the artistic Wolimerz to come into contact with local art.
– You can hop on a bike and set off on a 6.5-kilometre scenic route towards the Czocha Castle and Lake Leśniańskie. In addition to visiting the castle and the dam on the lake, in the summer you can also go swimming, rent a pedal boat or go on a cruise.
– The nearest stud farm is 4 kilometers from Bukolika. More experienced riders are recommended to go into the field and admire the area from the perspective of the horse's back.
– If you love to look at the sky, its fragment above Bukolika is impressive. For even more stars, you can go to the cross-border Jizera Dark Sky Park.
- Świeradów Zdrój is only 15 kilometers away. There are the nearest routes for fans of winter sports and mountain bikes, as well as routes for hiking enthusiasts. We will not be original, but we recommend going to Chatka Górzowców and trying the legendary pancakes with blueberries.
– Szklarska Poręba and Jelenia Góra are about 30 kilometers of road to cover, and there is another portion of trails and lots of attractions.
What’s there for children?
We will not hide that our houses are not adapted for the youngest. The cottages have steep stairs and a high mezzanine, which is secured only by a rope. We are not a place for busy toddlers who love to explore all corners and usually the most dangerous ones.
However, we do not close ourselves completely to accepting small guests. We know that children are different and you, the parents, know them best and are responsible for them. Therefore, although we have set the age limit at 10 years, you can write to us about coming with slightly younger children. We have a small room on the ground floor that will work as a bedroom for them.
We do not have attractions such as a playground or trampoline here. We have 3.5 hectares of meadows to explore and observe. There are hares, roe deer, lots of birds and cows in the adjacent pasture eagerly looking at the new arrivals. If you love spending time in the bosom of nature with your children, you will have a lot to show off with us. We also have a forest and bushes full of blackberries. During the games, however, remember about other guests who can enjoy rest in the silence offered by Bukolica. And watch out for bugs, ticks and blackberry spines!
