Have you ever eaten mulberry jam? On a waffle? The first time must finally come and it would be better if it was in Siedlisko na Górka. It is in it, and in blackberries, that Joanna specializes. Both bushes grow on our small hill and we care for them no worse than for the well-being of our guests. And even though Zalec is German for salt, we will not welcome you here with bread and salt, but with home-made pizza from a wood-fired oven. Our pizzaman is Czesław, who devotes his happy retirement to perfecting his baking skills.

The thing is, when you turn around, there's something good waiting for you with every turn. 360° degrees of ideas on how to spend a Masurian day. You will look straight ahead, and there: a pond among the trees, over which you will lie down with a book and raise the level of reading in Poland. Move your head to the right: a country road, which you will take by bike to Lake Notyst. Take a look behind you: pastures where cows graze happier than in Milka's advertisement. If you are sitting in the office on a gloomy Tuesday, dreaming of retirement, even a holiday one, this is the address. Above us lies Boże Małe, Boże and Boże Wólka, but when you are here, we know that you will only say: "God, how good it is here".

Our Habitat is located on a picturesque Masurian hill in the Mrągowo commune. They are surrounded by arable fields, pastures, meadows and forests. This is where we live every day and here we invite you - to a house for rent or an apartment.

Apartment (for 2 people):
- located above the former cowshed,
– it is one-room (it has a kitchen and a bedroom-living room),
- has 1 double bed and 1 sofa bed,
– has a basic kitchen (microwave, coffee maker, toaster, kettle),
- has a bathroom with a shower.
We rent the apartment to 2 adults, but a child can also sleep in it (on a sofa or a baby cot). The fee for a child's stay is PLN 100.

The Green or Blue Cottage (for 4 people) have:
– 2 rooms on the first floor (1 with a double bed and 1 with two single beds),
– a living room with a goat and a large fold-out table downstairs,
– fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, stove, fridge, kettle),
– a bathroom with a shower,
– a separate terrace with garden furniture and a view of the meadows and woods.
The Green and Blue House is actually one house divided in half, and its halves are mirror images, with identical layout and equipment.

You can spend time together throughout our habitat. At your disposal will be a common room with billiards and a ping-pong table or a garden space with attractions, which are described in more detail below.

We prepare breakfasts for you, which you can purchase from us. They are continental in style – plates feature cheeses, cold cuts, scrambled eggs, waffles, and, in season, vegetables and fruit from our garden. We ensure that breakfasts are based on local produce. You can enjoy them in the shared living room and dining area, which all guests have access to. Breakfast for children aged 7-14 costs 20 PLN.

We also have a pizza oven, and when more guests gather, a real highlight are pizza-making evenings under the supervision of Czesław (who oversees the oven, as its operation is not always easy). Get in touch with us, and you might even get a pizza. There's also an outdoor grill at your disposal.

The cottages have fully equipped kitchens where you can cook your own meals. The kitchen in the apartment is rather basic: there's no stove or dishwasher, and meals can be heated in the microwave, but not cooked.

We would encourage you to get bored with us in various ways - in rural and Masurian style. To begin with, about the pleasures that await you on the spot.

You can with us:
– warm up in the sauna (PLN 50 for a 1.5-hour session, max 2 people),
– play table tennis or billiards in the common room,
– swim in the pool, which we spread out for the warm months,
– do yoga on the terrace (belongs to Blue and Green Houses),
– sit on the terrace at all, talk, look into the distance, eat meals,
– read a book in a hammock or deckchair,
– have evenings with pizza from the oven or grill.

In the immediate vicinity you can:
– go for walks in the forest (you can use Nordic walking sticks),
– go on a bike – we are near the Masurian Bicycle Loop – the route leads towards Ryn and Giżycko, and further connects with the Green Velo trail, in 30 minutes. you will reach Mikołajki along scenic roads along 2 lakes; we have free bikes for you to rent (10 for adults and 2 for children),
– go to the vantage point in Zalec (there is a panorama of the whole area, up to Kętrzyn)
– spend time by the lake: Notyst Lake is the closest to us (2.5 km), Tałty and Ryńskie Lake are a little further away.

And a little further:
– classic: go kayaking on the Krutynia river (it starts in Ukta, 30 km from here),
– less popular: bet on the Dajna River, whose route is not as popular as the Krutyn route, but equally beautiful (it starts in Piecki, 24 km from here) – the route is 36 km long and leads, among others, to through the Czos, Czarne, Kot and Juno lakes; you reach Lake Dejnowskie, and from there it is only a step to visit the Marian Sanctuary in Święty Lipka;
– in Krutyń (by Krutynia) visit the Natural History Museum, and near this village also the Zakręt Reserve – you will see floating islands there with your own eyes, and maybe even meet an insectivorous sundew;
– on Lake Tałty, it is worth seeing the Praying Mantis Peninsula and Bay, which take their name from the predatory, rare in Poland, insects found there;
– "Hindenburg Line" - it is in Warmia and Mazury that the most important bunkers of the Third Reich from the times of WW1 and WWII have been preserved, to mention even the Wolf's Lair in Gierłoż, quarters in Mamerki or bunkers in Gołdap,
– take a ride along the trail of Teutonic castles: they are waiting for you in Reszel, Nidzica, Kętrzyn, Ryn, Olsztyn, Lidzbark Warmiński or Szczytno,
– visit the Piska Forest covering a large area of Masuria, its lakes, forests (do you know that it is the second largest forest complex in Europe?) and numerous reserves - e.g. Pupy and Piłaki;
– look at the animals in the Kadzidłowo Wild Animal Park (we recommend especially to families with kids – there are crowds of families here in the summer, so it’s best to go to Kadzidłowo in the off-season – be sure to also visit the iconic Oberża pod Psem for dumplings with plums or dumplings with groats and cottage cheese.

We have a playground, a sandpit and swings with a view of the cows grazing behind the fence. You can play ping-pong or badminton duels or splash in the pool. The area of the habitat is fenced, so you can let the kids run free to play in their own company. Around the habitat there is a land of carefree childhood - dirt roads, hills, meadows. You can go with the older ones on a bike (we have 2 children for rent) or learn to recognize wildflowers.

Both the house and the apartment have wifi, but the internet connection is different. It happens that the link works poorly when several people use it. If we were in your place, we would leave the laptops at home and not set ourselves to work from here. In case of need - of course, you can check e-mails and work at low speed.
