At a glance
Ola de portugal! Hello from Portugal. More precisely, from the North region, on the Atlantic Ocean. Our yellow estate (Quinta) is located on the route to Santiago de Compostela, on the slope of the Serra de Santa Luzia mountain.
It will be difficult for me to tell in a few words the more than 500-year history of Quinta da Boa Viagem and its inhabitants. May I just mention that it is said to owe its name to the king of Portugal, who made a pilgrimage to Santiago in the 16th century. This was one of his stops. It looked completely different then, because there was only a defensive tower (which is now part of the manor). The king gave the heir permission to build a chapel dedicated to Nossa Senhora da Boa Viagem, or Our Lady of Good Journey. The chapel stood outside the walls of Quinta so that pilgrims walking the Camino could rest in the shade and coolness of its walls. The name "Boa Viagem" also refers to the profession of the successive owners of the property. They were deep-sea sailors and brought many “souvenirs” here from their travels. You will see them there. And does the name José Maria de Eça de Queiroz mean anything to you? This is a Portuguese Adam Mickiewicz who has the same last name as my husband. We will tell you an unusual story about an unwanted child, and then one of the most important representatives of realism, on the spot.
Anyway, my husband - Jose, who inherited this house from his great-uncle at the age of 7, is a specialist in the subject of the history of the "castle" (shhh, just don't call the house that way). The house waited until Jose grew up, and then until we traveled the world together. Now our quite unusual agritourism and we are waiting for guests. We invite you to the garden full of fragrant fruit, for evening chats with port wine, to the swimming pool and for horse riding on the beach. Boa viagem, have a great trip!

We speak these languages: Polish, English, French, Spanish, German, Ukrainian, Italian
We are on-site, we give our guests space and intimacy, but we're always ready to help
I, Kasia - a girl from Gliwice, an architect by education, after graduation I went to Portugal, settled in Porto, where I found my way in the field of art, while teaching color theory at the university. Years later, I threw my paintbrushes and together with my Portuguese husband Jose, we spent some time traveling across distant seas and lands. From these conquests we brought the desire to create a traveler-friendly place where all our guests will feel at home and we will feel that we are on the move again. I would forget to add that Jose inherited this property at the age of 7, so he's just stuck with it. Quinta da Boa Viagem has been in the hands of his family for over 500 years and a lot has happened here, but he will tell you about it himself on the spot. Of course, we couldn't do it all alone, we have our magical helpers, it's also a surprise, and they, together with us, make sure that your time spent here is unforgettable, and the desire to return even greater.
