Our Beskid Mountains resemble an archipelago, whose 53 hills sometimes emerge from the sea of fog like islands. It's hard to say whether it was the sight of them seen in the first rays of sunlight, the desire to live outside everyday life or perhaps the good energy of the place that made us decide to build a yurt immersed in nature with a terrace and a view of the forest 100 meters from our house.
From the observatory on Lubomir towering above us, you can look into space, feel the paths around the mountains and the coolness of streams under your feet, and drop into the Kudłacze shelter for regional specialties. All this in a quiet valley, on the southern slope of the mountain, by the stream called Niedźwiadek. We also offer undisturbed peace, a handful of children's attractions, and also breakfasts with local products and vegetarian dinners. In the evenings you can light a fire in the tipi tent and then stare at the sky filled with stars until late at night. We tried to ensure that our yurt, artistically painted by Olena, and the space created here, would reveal its essence. Come see how we managed to do it.
Welcome to our yurt, located at 600 meters above sea level, on the southern slope of Lubomir, in the Beskid Wyspowy.
What should you know about her?
– it is open all year round, heated with an air-conditioner (it also has an oil stove and for extremely cold winters – a farelka),
– it has a fully equipped kitchen with an induction hob,
- has a bathroom with a shower,
– you will find a double bed and the possibility of adding a single bed, which makes it suitable for a couple, two with a child or 3 people,
- there is wi-fi in it.
Its mood is built by lights and paintings by Olena, referring to the night and stars that can be observed through the window in the roof.
Next to the yurt there is a large tipi tent with a hearth, it is a perfect place for feasting and children's favorite hideout, although we noticed that adults also like to hang out there.
The yurt stands among the trees, about 100 meters from it, by the road, is our house. We are open and willing to help if needed.
We serve our guests breakfasts made of regional products. It's homely, classic and tasty. In the baskets you will find: eggs from our neighbor, milk, cheeses from the shepherd's hut, local cold cuts, regional bread or bread baked by us. We serve coffee or tea with this set. Dinners are vegetarian, dominated by: vegetables with groats or rice. We like to tailor meals to you, that's why we always ask what your bellies growl at and what they can't eat. Meals, if you decide to eat them, are delivered to the door of the yurt at the time agreed with you.
The yurt also has a well-equipped and not so small annex, so if you feel like cooking for yourself - nothing will stand in your way.
The Beskid Wyspowy is calling! It offers: closeness to nature, complete peace and views out of this world. Here you can sit in a meadow, go to the forest and conquer several peaks.
We have a few recommendations for you:
- The red trail, which runs right next to it, will take you to the Astronomical Observatory in Lubomir. From there, you will reach the Kudłacze shelter in less than 2 hours.
- Go to Kasina Wielka for a year-round ski slope (7 km from us) or bike to Kasina Bike Park, the largest bike park in Poland, where 9 diverse bike routes await (totaling over 17 km).
- Go to the shepherd's hut in Jaworzyc for the tastes of regional cuisine (1 km from us).
- Around Mogielica (it's a bit further, about 30 km) there are 25 km of year-round bike, walking and cross-country skiing routes.
– You can also climb Mogielica, the highest peak of the Beskid Wyspowy, and admire the panorama of the Beskid Wyspowy, Sądecki, Gorce, Pieniny and Tatras from the observation tower at the top (it's worth it!).
– In winter, try your hand at the ice rinks in Myślenice (20 km) or Mszana Dolna (15 km).
– You can set off on a walk along the 12-kilometer Niezapominajka trail (the loop takes about 5 hours) leading through forests, orchards and meadows. There's also an interesting fact! In the vicinity of the wood yard, in the clearing under Trupielec, there are about 40 cremation mounds dating back to the 7th-9th centuries.
What’s there for children?
Overnight in a real tent with a view of the stars? It sounds like an adventure! We will add to this a large tipi tent, which stands 20 meters from the yurt. It is a 30-meter space with a wooden floor and a hearth in the middle. Sounds like an even bigger adventure, right? More are waiting for little explorers at every step.
For those who want to try their hand at archery, we have a target and a bow. After a short training, you can shoot in a separate and safe area.
In our warehouse there is a corner for the youngest with toys, tables and a selection of art materials.
And for those willing, we can organize workshops. Here are some of our ideas: making soy candles, soaps, jewelry, gardening workshops. Write if interested.
