The first map is from 1852. There were neighbors here then, and the only trace left of them is an avenue of majestic oak trees, now designated a Natural Monument. One of them casts a shadow over the terrace of our apartments. The second map dates back to the 1930s. It features a pictogram of a deer's head and the letter "G," which stands for a gamekeeper's lodge. It adds flavor and aroma to the entire story. We imagine that even before the war, the smell of smoked venison wafted over the Gruszka forest district. The oldest map we found reveals the most intriguing secret of this place: it was the site of Count Edmund Krasicki's farm. From the fragments of history we managed to uncover, we are piecing together a new story about the farmstead nestled near the forest. It is as colorful as those from previous centuries.

This new story is about eating breakfast by a panoramic window overlooking the forest. This one is so close, it almost bursts in. About encounters with bison seen on the way here. They always stride proudly and unhurriedly. About walking 400 meters down to the San River to get their feet wet and fly-fish, like the anglers from South Africa and New Zealand who came here for the championships. About trips to Lake Solina or the lesser-known Lake Myczkowskie – more unspoiled, but equally beautiful. About successful holidays. Weremień ski lift is only 1.5 km away. Our forest barn has it all: homely hospitality seamlessly blending with the wildness of a former gamekeeper's lodge, the mystery of the Sanocko-Turczańskie Mountains, and proximity to Bieszczady attractions. It even has a choice: you can rent it entirely for a group, or for a romantic or family holiday, opt for a single apartment. If, in addition to peace and quiet, you crave adventure, this is the place to go.

OLHA consists of two comfortable apartments that you can rent separately or together - then the entire house is at your exclusive disposal.

Our farm is isolated, right next to the forest (although it is not far from civilization, Lesko is 3 km away). We live next door to Stara Gajówka, but we don't intrude and our windows face a different direction. Of course, if you want to get to know each other, we are open. We invite you to share Bieszczady stories around the campfire.

NOTE: in winter, access to our place uphill is very difficult. We only invite people with 4x4 cars and good winter tires. For this reason, winter reservations are less common with us. During this time, the minimum stay is 5 nights and we kindly ask you to book in advance so that we can heat the house.

We will prepare tasty, home-made and colorful breakfasts based on local products. They will be different - depending on the season. A selection of vegetables, cheeses and cold cuts will be accompanied by home-made baked goods. We will also be happy to treat you to home-made products, many of which are made here.


You will take care of the rest of the meals yourself. The kitchenettes are well-equipped and you can cook whatever you want. And if you don't like spending time in the kitchen on holiday, we refer you to nearby restaurants where they serve good food.

We are located near the forest, off the beaten track, and you can freely enjoy the charms of the moderate Bieszczady wilderness. All day sitting on the terrace looking for deer and bison? We respect this style of rest. If you dream of a place where you don't have to move to be beautiful, this is it.

On site we offer:
– blissful moments on the terrace overlooking the forest,
– swinging and reading in a hammock,
– walks around the area: to a mountain stream, between several hundred-year-old oaks, with birds singing – all this only 100 m away,
– badminton games in front of the house,
– evening barbecues and bonfires,
– catching up on TV series on the couch.

A little further:
– The San flows 400 m from us, where you can not only get your feet wet, but also start rafting in pontoons or kayaks (we will help you organize them) or… learn fly fishing. On the section of the San flowing through Lesko, the World Fly Fishing Championships were organized twice. Even anglers from South Africa and New Zealand came to see them.
– 1500 m from here you can go skiing – to the Weremień ski lift. They have 2 T-bar lifts, a ski school, a ski rental and an inn where you can eat tasty pizza from a wood-fired oven. And even if you are not a skier, it is a great experience to walk to the top of the mountain, where there is a platform with a phenomenal view of the nearby forests and mountains.
– Lesko – it takes half an hour to walk to the town center and 5 minutes by car. Come down for delicious ice cream, see the Kmita Castle from the 16th century on the banks of the San or the synagogue with one of the most valuable Jewish cemeteries in Poland (the oldest grave: from the first half of the 16th century).

Departure: close to two beautiful lakes - Solina and Lake Myczkowskie.
– Lake Solińskie – there are a lot of tourists there in the season, but it is a beautiful lake worth seeing. Due to the windy conditions (high location), you can sail and kitesurf on it. There are many picturesque hiking and biking trails around the lake. You will get there in 15 minutes.
– Lake Myczkowskie – just like in Solina, there is a dam on it, but this lake is more virgin and there are fewer people there. You probably won't take a bath here, but you can have a picnic on the grass by the shore, go for a walk around (there is the Bieszczady Nordic Walking Center nearby) or go to the viewpoint in the quarry in Bóbrka.

– Góra Sobień reserve with a viewing platform (the so-called Bieszczady Gate),
– ruins of the Monastery of the Discalced Carmelites in Zagórze,
– tourist trails of the Sanok-Turczańskie Mountains (e.g. the Red Przemyśl-Sanocki Trail, the Trail of the Good Soldier Švejk or the Yellow Trail from Orle Kamień to Sanok).

This is hardly a place for children. We are especially focused on hosting adults.

We have fiber optic internet available in all areas of the barn. You can work at the table in the dining room or on the terrace, but if you express such a need, we can also arrange a desk with a comfortable armchair on wheels. We'll put them in the apartment then.
