The views here are spectacular, but you can't take our word for it. This needs to be tested empirically. In the morning, the sun rising behind the houses with all its colors rests on the peaks of Połonina Wetlińska and sometimes in these circumstances our guests resist before starting the day. We understand them a little: it's hard to get ready for the trail when you can eat, for example, delicious sheep cheese for breakfast on a terrace with a mountain panorama until noon. They say that the best one is the one bought near the Great Bieszczady Loop near Brzegi Górne. However, when you do manage to set off, no one regrets waking up early. Of all the pleasures you will experience here, a morning walk through dewy meadows and the waking village is at the forefront. And this is only the beginning of the adventure. Its epilogue are colorful sunsets spreading widely across the sky over the peaks, to which you will come back here.
Wetlina is teeming with life not far from here, but we are a bit further, at the foot of the meadows. We built three houses among meadows and surrounded by a colorful garden. You can rent either a cottage exclusively or one of the apartments with various bedroom configurations. We would say that the standard is hotel-like, because the comfort of our visitors is not about extras, but our hospitality - quite homely. We are locals at heart, and the Bieszczady Mountains are everything we love. We will tell you which trails have the fewest tourists, which ones with a dog, where to bike and from whom to rent cross-country skis. We will also tell you where to eat and where to drink a mug of beer with the locals. You can tell the rest of the Bieszczady stories yourself. Come.
Kraina Wetlina consists of 3 comfortable and cozy houses in the buffer zone of the Bieszczady National Park, in the village of the same name. We are at the foot of Hnatowy Berd, away from other buildings, by a meadow and a forest climbing up to pastures. However, it is close to shops, restaurants and the Great Bieszczady Loop, thanks to which you can easily reach many places worth visiting in the area.
Our place consists of 3 houses, and in them there are the following facilities:
- a house with 2 duplex apartments (1 and 2) each with a separate entrance and a private terrace on opposite sides of the building;
– house with cottage no. 3, in this building there is also apartment no. 5 downstairs – they have separate entrances on two other levels and on other sides;
– house with house no. 4 and apartment no. 6 in the basement – similar situation as with 3 and 5.
Each of the houses has central floor heating.
The number of bedrooms and bathrooms varies. Each of the apartments and cottages has a private entrance directly from the garden. Two of the apartments have their own gazebo instead of a terrace. All details can be found at individual booking facilities.
Listen, these are the Bieszczady Mountains, no one has ever been bored here. Unless he wanted to - then you can too. If you dream that:
– sit on the terrace all day and read books,
– walk in the meadows and forests around,
– go mushroom picking in autumn,
– swing in a hammock and think about blue almonds,
– sunbathe on a lounger in the summer,
– have evening barbecues and bonfires with leisure companions,
you will experience it all with us. And you don't even have to go anywhere if you don't feel like it, just go to the village for dinner.
But you can also do a lot of other things. Thanks to our location, you will have the opportunity to both relax in peace and nature, as well as take advantage of the entire wealth of the Bieszczady Mountains: the landscape and culture.
On the trail
There are several trails running through Wetlina, so if you're aiming for a hiking holiday, you couldn't find a better place. Early breakfast and a walk through the awakening countryside? In our opinion, this is the perfect way to spend the morning in the Bieszczady Mountains. Here are some of the possible routes:

For cross-country skiing
In Wetlina, there are about 20 km of trails for hiking on cross-country skis, and cross-country equipment rental is also very active here.
into nature:
– Bieszczady National Park,
– Star Sky Park – it is the second largest such park in Europe, and its goal is to protect the night sky from excess light: in our opinion, it is in the Bieszczady Mountains that you can see the Milky Way most beautifully,
– "Bieszczady Odnalezione" natural and historical path - it is a route through the landscape of non-existent villages, and on the way: cervices and cemeteries, wild orchards and beautifully blooming meadows,
– The European bison farm in Muczne – on 7 hectares you can observe animals in their natural environment, free of charge, every day,
– Bieszczady Forest Railway – will take you on a journey through the Ciśniańsko-Wetliński Landscape Park.
Culturally and historically:
– Museum of Folk Architecture in Sanok – it is the largest ethnographic museum in Poland, and in our opinion also the most beautiful, with a rich history and a multitude of objects; from April to October, on the 3rd Sunday of the month, an flea market is held here,
– Ursa Maior Brewery – several kinds of regional beer are produced there, and the brewery itself is a very interesting and colorful place; you can go not only for tasting, but also for curatorial tours,
– holiday art workshops – weaving tapestries, painting wildflowers, weaving baskets and pots, or making pots – workshops are organized throughout the season in various places in the Bieszczady Mountains,
– the non-existent village of Łopienka with a beautifully renovated Orthodox church and an old lime tree with a large hollow.
What’s there for children?
We think it's a perfect place for a family holiday. There is a lot of space around where kids can play. We may not have a playground, but there are hammocks, a forest and a meadow nearby. You can go with your parents on trips to the Bieszczady Mountains, watch deer coming out to the meadow in the evening, ride a bike or go to the Wetlinka River.
