There is a wind that moved this house off its foundations in the 1970s. The memorable Halna wind blew in such a way that the locals still remember this event, and the villa was nicknamed "Halna". Today, she is no longer threatened by a similar incident. Since we brought it back to life in a new version, the villa has been kept down to earth by solid duties: it is to pamper you, warm you up, cuddle you, inspire you and show you the most beautiful face of Zakopane. The one we know and love - away from the crowds of Krupówki, with a peaceful view of the Tatra Mountains from our terrace, with tasteful highlander ornaments that would make Witkiewicz smile under his mustache. To make it more interesting, we combined it with contemporary design and all the ways we know to make it cozy, soft and warm. Because we see that luxury is when you can feel at home.
When you look at Willa Halna from 1966 from the street level, it is difficult to guess what awaits inside. That it is a house where you can relax in a group of up to 17 people on 345 m². That we have created a SPA zone in the basement, with an always heated jacuzzi, deckchairs, sauna and music. That each of the 5 bedrooms with wonderfully comfortable beds has its own bathroom, but if that was not enough, there is an additional one with a bathtub. The underground kitchen may also be a surprise, created for evenings that turn into night, with good food and even better company. It is in this kitchen that we will leave you delicious breakfasts made of local products in the morning and all you will have to do is go downstairs to get them. We know it won't be easy to get out of the soft bedding. We won't do this for you. But almost everything else does. Whatever you need, we will be nearby. Let us show you the highest quality highlander hospitality.
It is possible that you will have the opportunity to relax in the coziest house in Zakopane. We wanted local heritage to be combined with modern design in a historic villa, so we invited local interior designers from Zakopane to cooperate. Thanks to them, attention to detail and your needs meet a warm atmosphere, natural materials and casual elegance. It's luxurious, yet homely. In the kitchen you can admire a historic sosręb from 1966. The layout of the villa's rooms is original.
This whole idea is to give you the opportunity to get to know the peaceful face of Zakopane: without the twisted fries on a stick and the teddy bear from Krupówki. We are located in a quiet part of the city, just above the Krzeptówki Housing Estate, and less than a kilometer in a straight line separates us from Droga Pod Reglami. The nearest ski lift is 300 m away, Krupówki Street is 3 km away.
The building is surrounded by a fenced plot with a large terrace overlooking the mountains. We cannot say that we are in a remote area, because there are other houses nearby, but the wooden fence is tight and you will certainly find peace and privacy here.
The layout of our villa looks like this:
1) basement
spa (jacuzzi and sauna), children's corner, kitchen with grill and large table
2) ground floor
main kitchen, dining room, large living room with fireplace
1st bedroom: double bed + fold-out sofa (single)
3) 1st floor
2nd bedroom: 2 separate beds + fold-out sofa (double)
3rd bedroom: double bed
4th bedroom - 2 x double bed
4) attic
5th bedroom: double bed + fold-out sofa (double)
Each bedroom has its own bathroom, apart from 2 bedrooms upstairs which have a shared bathroom. There are also 2 separate toilets in the house.
There are 5 parking spaces in front of the house. For safety, the outdoor area is monitored. The villa is equipped with fire detectors.
We are for families (one large or several) or a group of friends who dream of relaxation in comfort. There is room in the villa for a shared feast until the morning (we have 2 kitchens with dining rooms) and for solitude to curl up with a book under a soft blanket.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and we will make sure it is also the most delicious. We have this cool thing: although it is a house for exclusive rent, breakfast is included in the price and we leave it for you on plates in the lower kitchen. Simply put: while you're still sleeping, one of us will sneak downstairs and get everything ready. There will be something different every day, you will see for yourself. We rely on local products: vegetables, cheese, and cold meats. You can find vegetable pastes, scrambled eggs, sausages and salad on the table. And there will always be something sweet with coffee. If you are vegetarian/gluten-free/have other special needs, please let us know.
There are two kitchens in the house: the first one is on the ground floor, classic, really well-equipped and cozy. The second one is in the basement, it is a grill kitchen, with a more austere character, perfect for evening parties. You will find a pizza oven there.
Both kitchens are connected to the dining room, and each has a large table for 12 people.
There are trails, beautiful views and fascinating Zakopane culture nearby, but we know people who derive the greatest pleasure from staying there. The house is tempting to relax here. Inside you will find candles and soft blankets, and in the bathroom you will find good quality cosmetics. There is a TV in each room if you feel like spending your time this way.
We have arranged a SPA zone in the basement and we encourage you to enjoy it without limits. The water in the jacuzzi will always be heated, and you can activate the steam sauna with a few clicks on an easy-to-use panel. After a nice viewing, you can lie down on the deckchairs, chat in the candlelight or listen to your favorite music alone (connected to the speakers via Bluetooth).
On site you will find contact information for a masseur who will come to the place, so if you would like to have a massage, it is possible.
An additional grill kitchen in the basement will allow you to enjoy culinary feasts in a special atmosphere. Night owls can settle in there without worrying about waking up the rest of the house.
Outside there is a large terrace with a view of the Tatra Mountains. The terrace surrounds half of the house, it is located both in the garden part and above the street (just to clear up any doubts). This will be our first spring-summer season, but we feel in our bones that breakfasts and afternoons in this place will be like a dream. We are already preparing garden furniture and a roof that will be ready for summer.
Now about what awaits you after leaving the villa. We are located in a quiet part of Zakopane, just above the Krzeptówki housing estate. The Tatra National Park and Droga pod Reglami are 1.5 km away. Take the Osiedle Krzeptówki road and then Mranica road to reach the bridge over the stream. Just behind it are beautiful glades, peaks, valleys and waterfalls. For pleasant walks, we recommend Dolina Za Bramką, Dolina Mała Łąki, Przysłop Miętusi. A little further you go to the Kościeliska Valley or Polana na Stołach.
We can recommend a trip to the Five Ponds Valley to anyone who feels up to it. You can only get there on foot, so arm yourself with sandwiches, good ankle boots and clothes for all weather conditions. In the famous mountain shelter in the valley, you will find delicious apple pie and a view that will blow your mind every time.
If you are planning to come to us for skiing in winter, we can only applaud this idea. The proximity of the ski lifts and, after returning, the warmth of the fireplace and the pleasant atmosphere of our interiors will allow you to enjoy double the pleasure of frosty activities. The nearest ski stations are:
– Budzowski Wierch – 300 m
– Pod Butorowy – 850 m
– Polana Szymoszkowa - 1.6 km.
If you are hungry for highlander folklore, we can recommend some cool and unique events that take place in Zakopane:
– competition for the Most Beautiful Góralecke, i.e. Miss Podhale – the girls have to prove themselves in the tasks of a typical businesswoman and the winner is not only the pretty one, but also the most agile one,
– Przednówek in Polany – an event taking place in March and intended to show the old shepherding customs of the highlanders – it is a true celebration of local folklore and tradition,
– Mountain Folklore Festival – an international event lasting as many as 7 days, during which highlanders from all over the world present their cultural heritage,
– Złote Kierpce – children's festival of music bands.
For a solid dose of culture, we also refer you to the Tatra Museum. This is where you will discover the ancient spirit of Podhale and explore, among others, the history of old wooden houses in the Zakopane style. Its first example is the "Koliba" Villa, built according to the design of Stanisław Witkiewicz, open to the public. Also visit the Gallery of 20th Century Art in the "Oksza" villa and the Władysław Hasior Gallery.
What’s there for children?
Families with children like us very much. We have arranged the space so that you can stay up late in a special living room with an additional kitchen downstairs and not disturb the children's sleep. By this time, they will be sleeping soundly in the soft beds upstairs. During the day, there is a chest full of toys, books and coloring books waiting for them. There's no doubt about it, there's plenty to keep kids' paws busy.
We personally know one girl who never wants to leave here because she says it is her favorite, coziest and nicest home.
We have already ordered a wooden playground to be built in the garden for spring and summer. The plot is green, fenced and you can play safely there. In winter, you can organize a sleigh ride, and contact details of the people who will organize it can be found in the house.
