We're calling for a break! But not five, not ten, not even fifteen minutes. Time for a real lab. For holidays, come to Lubuskie, right next to the border with Wielkopolska, to an over 100-year-old post-German school. School holidays? Who saw it?! Don't worry, the last bell sounded here a long time ago. In the Old School you are now learning to rest.

We hope that we will disenchant your memories of the school canteen and feed you with what we have the freshest and tastiest. That thanks to trips around the area you will learn more about the Lubuskie Land than during geography lessons, that you will enjoy some pleasant exercise without throwing a medicine ball at a distance. We have bicycles on site and two lakes about 2 km away. It is also close to kayaking and walking in pine forests. However, we do not encourage PE, you can just go out to the garden, warm yourself in the tub and lie in the sauna. You can also eat pizza straight from the oven, catch up on your reading list by the fireplace or socialize by the fire. And finally organize a class reunion in the barn. You can, but you don't have to, because nobody here organizes rest tests.

Our agritourism is located in Lubuskie, near lakes and a pine forest. You will live in an over 100-year-old post-German school.

We offer 5 cozy rooms for 3, 4 and 5 people, with a view of the greenery. Each room has its own bathroom with a shower. When choosing a room, carefully examine what arrangement of beds will be most comfortable for you, because we can choose the configuration according to the color.

The house has many common spaces: an atmospheric living room with a fireplace combined with a dining room, where we serve meals, and a kitchenette on the first floor. There is a reading corner with a comfortable sofa and armchair. There is also a large garden to hide in.

We invite you for a carefree vacation, so don't worry about meals. We serve breakfast at 9:00 AM and dinner with dessert at 6:00 PM. Meals are served buffet-style, and you eat at a communal table. Meals are included in the price.

For breakfast, we serve homemade specialties and cold cuts from our own smokehouse. Freshly prepared spreads and cheeses are also available. In season, we also offer vegetables and fruit from our garden. Coffee and tea are also available.

Dinner is traditional cuisine with a modern twist. You can expect delicious soups made with vegetables from our own garden. And meat lovers will appreciate the slow-roasted pork from the wood-fired oven. The hostess will prepare a delicious dessert or cake for you with true passion. And believe me, Kasia's cakes are known throughout the area. To drink, you'll be served drinks made with homemade syrups flavored with lavender, elderflower, or jasmine.

Welcome to school holidays. You've probably never attended such a relaxation school before. We have everything you need to learn to relax here. Sauna, jacuzzi, hammocks, comfortable sofas, bicycles, games and beautiful nature around.

Lubuskie is the voivodeship with the largest forest cover in Poland. We also have a lot of water here, because the Lubusz Land is called the land of two hundred lakes. There are also rivers and canals. It so happens that Stara Szkoła is located right on the border of the Lubusz and Greater Poland Voivodeships, so you can freely draw from the wealth of both. To breathe in the essential oils of the pine forest, just go 'beyond the fence', where there are countless paths, perfect for hiking/cycling. Many of these roads will lead you to two nearby lakes - Wilcze and Orchowe. The beach (sandy with a pier) on Lake Orchowe is about 2 km away. A similar road takes you to Lake Wilcze. There, it is worth spreading a blanket on the grassy bank near the fishing pier. When you go by bike to the lake, we recommend hitting the canal connecting the two lakes. It is an extremely picturesque place.

Bicycles are available on site, so if you do not have any special cycling requirements, you can use our tourists. A very interesting and at the same time easy to follow bicycle route, "Railway to Bike", is a great idea for a family trip around the Nowa Sól district. A ride along a disused railway line can be a real treat for adventure lovers. During a short trip you can learn about the interesting history of the region, see interesting monuments and relax in the bosom of nature.

Like water, there are kayaks. One of the most interesting local rafting trips is the Lubusz Water Trail. Its approximate length is 220 km and it takes approximately 10 days to complete it. But don't worry, you can row only a fragment. To put it very simply, the trail starts in Sława (Sławskie Lake) and ends in Santok, where the Noteć flows into the Warta.
You can also go rafting in the immediate vicinity, e.g. Obrzyca (Uście (beach) - Kargowa (recreational area)), Obra from Kopanica to Nowa Wieś Zbąska or the trail along the Southern Canal of the Obra, which starts in the Bonikowski Junction and ends in Uściu.

It is also worth going for a walk to the Lubsko Forest District to see the extraordinary Dancing Pines. The forest is protected as a surface natural monument "Candelabra". Trees bent in an unnatural way intrigue many people. Apparently, phone batteries discharge faster here. Maybe it's a magnetic field, maybe a UFO, or maybe some soil deficiency? There are several hypotheses for the unusual bending of tree trunks. Most likely, however, German foresters shaped them in such a way as to obtain material for bent furniture. To see the forest, you need to cover an approximately kilometer-long route from the Sports and Recreation Center - on foot or by bike. The steam locomotive parade in Wolsztyn (approx. 26 km from us) is an event worth attending. It usually takes place on May Day and is one of the most important railway events in Poland and Europe and a unique event on the continent. The Wolsztyn locomotive shed is the last locomotive shed that supports scheduled passenger services by steam traction on a normal track. You can also visit the locomotive shed every day. It is especially worth coming here on weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., that is, when the museum hall is open and current workshop work is carried out, and when the most activity is happening with steam locomotives - inspections and repairs take place and you can observe them. And when a steam locomotive that has just finished working arrives at the locomotive shed. Please check the current timetable to find this event. This is when traditional maintenance of the steam locomotive takes place (ash removal, coal and water refilling, lubrication).

For lovers of views and heights, we recommend a trip to the observation tower in Świętno. About 1 km from the parking lot, there is a tower in the forest. Standing underneath it, you may get the impression that it is not that high at all, but halfway to the top, you will see that there are many more stairs. However, the views from the top make up for the hardships of climbing. The panorama is breathtaking. If the weather is good, you can see the academy in Poznań, approximately 70 km away, and Zielona Góra (approximately 45 km). It is best to take good binoculars with you to get the most out of the views.

When you come back from the beach or trips, you can play volleyball or badminton on the pitch, sit by the bonfire or jump into the ball.

It's amazing how much fun kids can have at school! It is a school of rest, fun and integration. There is a large garden, playground, swings, slide, climbing frames. Board games and a small library. Stork nests hanging in the trees. Volleyball and badminton court. There are usually other kids to play with as well. There are walking routes, a river, lakes and a forest. The entire garden around the Old School is safe and fenced.
