Hello, mummies*. We wave to you from Doły, i.e. a street that in a few hundred meters will turn into Kwaskowa Góra, and it into Nadrzeczna. Further, and exactly 25 minutes' walk from here, there is: the cobbled market square of Kazimierz with intricate Renaissance facades of the Przybyłów tenement houses. Soon after, you will be greeted by the Vistula River with a promenade that leads to Mięćmierz itself with a historic windmill. So we have a location so that you can enjoy the charms of historical Kazimierz, but also so that no one's head hurts from the shrine of stimuli. We all know that in the season the number of tourists in our town is far beyond the slow scale. However, we forgive them for these crowded trips, because we know how much magic this Vistula settlement has in itself. Lovers of nature, history, art, film and music have been coming here for inspiration and moments of pleasure for years.

In these charming circumstances, but not in their very heart, we made our little dream come true. A six-month family trip around the world made us realize how good it is to relax in small and simple spaces. That is why we decided to add a new thread to the centuries-old history of Kazimierz: about containers converted into houses, which traveled many nautical miles before they arrived here. Today, they are in a really good place: a few minutes' walk from the famous loess gorges, Korzeniowe and Czarne. However, before you go on a trip straight from an adventure movie between the roots of trees, rest for a while on our plot. Eat a slow breakfast, do yoga on the terrace, treat yourself to morning aromatherapy. Here you can have fun** as you like: with family, for two, with a pet. In the house next door you will have only one neighbor, a hammock under a tree, a forest behind you, and many unforgettable days in Kazimierz ahead of you.

KaZielnik consists of two sea containers transformed into comfortable houses with huge windows and wooden terraces. They stand on a fenced plot 2 km from the center of Kazimierz Dolny. They are heated and all year round. There is also air conditioning in each of our houses.

There is greenery around, a playground and hammocks. There are also houses, so you won't be completely isolated here - however, the area is intimate, quiet and picturesque. And if you are looking for a functional and laid-back place to stay with your family or as a couple, here we are.

The containers are the same: about 1 bedroom, a living room combined with a kitchen and a bathroom. What makes them different is the colors and atmosphere.

A bottle of water and traditional Kazimierz fudge will be waiting for you. Coffee capsules, tea, sugar, salt and pepper are available in the kitchens. We will leave the preparation of meals to you. We also have a place to light a fire if you fancy sausages or grilled vegetables.

However, if you also want a holiday from cooking, Kazimierz will not disappoint you. Below we recommend some of our favorite restaurants where you can eat deliciously.

On site, you can laze or spend time actively. For those dreaming of a moment of laziness, we have hammocks and deckchairs with which you can lie down on the grass or on the terrace. Books are waiting in the houses in case you run out of away reading. There are also board games.

Recently, we have become very interested in the topic of aromatherapy. We know how well beautiful scents do the senses and tired body. In each of the containers you will find a nebulizer for electric oils along with aromatherapy oils. And because it is known that it works better when you read about something (just like with the wrinkle cream leaflet, from reading which wrinkles straighten), we also left a book about aromatherapy for you.

For active people, we have built an outdoor mini-gym: exercise bars. We also know that yoga is great on the terrace, especially in the morning.

We have contacts with locals who organize sleigh rides and bonfires in the area in winter. Should you be interested, please let us know.

The recipe for a leisurely holiday in Kazimierz may look like this:
– you can go for walks along the ravines – two of them, Korzeniowy and Czarny, are located within a few minutes on foot from KaZielnik
– visit monuments, e.g. Franciscan Monastery, Parish Church of St. John the Baptist and St. Bartholomew,
– learn about the history of Kazimierz granaries, which served as grain warehouses during the city's heyday - you can admire them from the top of the Three Crosses or the promenade along the Vistula River,
– break away to Miećmierz, a village called a living open-air museum, and from the Albrechtówka hill (next to the windmill) admire the ruins of the castle in Janowiec, the village, the Cow Island Reserve; from the vantage point it is worth taking a walk to the ruins of Stanisław Szukalski's villa,
– visit the castle in Janowiec,
– get on a bike and follow the red trail on the route Kazimierz Dolny – Wąwolnica – Nałęczów – Wojciechów – Dąbrowica – Lublin or only its fragment,
– pedal 16 km to the settlement in Żmijowiska,
– go kayaking on the Chodelka River, e.g. Szczekarków Kolonia mill – Kazimierz Dolny, approx. 13 km,
– sunbathe on the nudist beach (the beach is periodically flooded by the Vistula River),

Every year in July, an event without a hairpin is held in Kazimierz, i.e. the Kazimiernikejszyn festival. You can buy tickets at www. Not only will you listen to good music (in the 2023 edition, for example, Nosowska, Kaśka Sochacka, Fisz Emade Tworzywo or Karaś/Rogucki will play), but you will also dance in a silent disco, take part in a pillow fight or numerous workshops, e.g. massage, yoga, body painting or swing. It's hard to keep up with the rich program, but one thing is certain - it's worth being here then.

However, there are many more festivals taking place in Kazimierz, from the famous film festival to smaller, more intimate ones. We provide a listing below:

– then “Wings over Kazimierz”,
– beginning of September – Pardes Festival – Meetings with Jewish Culture Kazimierz Dolny/Janowiec
– in the summer months – Organ Festival, fair of local products and many other events.

And if you prefer to avoid crowds, come to us after the season. Then Kazimierz is the most intimate and charming town in the world.

Please come with children! We have made KaZielnik so that no child will be bored here. We have a large playground with a cool house and swings, a small climbing wall and a sandbox. It is safe because the area is fenced. We equipped ourselves with board games, books and various toys. We can put a baby cot in the bedroom if you let us know that there is such a need. And we know one thing, because we have kids ourselves: there is plenty to do with children in Kazimierz. Ship cruises, visits to alpacas, playing the hobbit expedition through a loess gorge or a visit to the lego museum make holidays here fun, period.

The Internet usually works quite well, but in bad weather or when the container is closed, it can work poorly. You will probably be able to send an e-mail without any problems, but with calls it can be different. Therefore, here we would rather focus on working at slower speeds. As soon as fiber appears in Doły, we will let you know.
