By the country road, in the heart of a mosaic of multi-coloured fields, stood an old farmstead. We looked at it, it looked at us and we liked each other so much that since then we have been going through life together. We left it with its charming wrinkles - original beams and bricks, but we also introduced a lot of comfortable modernity. And here it is: Baryczanka in its own barn, just right for 8 guests. And the Little Italia house - inspired by our travels to Italy - ideal for 6-8 people.
This place is called "a land of possibilities", because adventures grow here like carp in Milicz ponds - lush and in large numbers. In just 10 minutes you will reach the border of the Barycz Valley Landscape Park, which is hard to talk about without using the prefix "best". It is the largest landscape park and ornithological reserve in Poland, whose nature has been associated with the largest complex of fish ponds in the whole of Europe for 800 years. You can explore Barycz by taking advantage of 1,300 km of hiking trails, taking part in a kayaking trip, visiting local castles and tasting local flavors. Expect to return - a weekend here is not enough.
Let yourself be carried away and sail with the current of Barycz.
In our Baryczanka we have a restored barn for you, which is ideal for 8-10 people and a house for 6-8 people.
There is plenty of space in the barn with a mosaic of fields in the background - comfortably for 8 people, and for the stubborn even 10, if you count sleeping on the fold-out sofa. At your disposal are 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms with showers, a living room with a fireplace, a kitchenette and a garden with various pleasures such as a sauna or a basketball court.
The barn consists of the ground floor and the first floor. On the first floor there are 3 double bedrooms with single beds and two bathrooms. The ground floor is made up of a bedroom with a double bed and an attached bathroom, a living room, a kitchenette and an exit to the covered terrace.
The Little Italy house is similar in size to a barn, and the atmosphere in which it was decorated results from our love for Italy (our photos from our trip to Italy, as well as guides to various regions and cookbooks from Italy are visible in all the interiors). The house has 3 double bedrooms, each with a bathroom, and two places on a fold-out sofa. The house is 150 m2 and also has a climatic living room with a fireplace and a kitchenette, and a large terrace with a tub.
In Baryczanka you will find a fully equipped kitchenette and a 10-person oak table. There is also a grill, and in winter there is also a bonfire place (in summer, due to the proximity of the forest, it is unavailable).
There is much to do in Baryczanka itself. We have a reading corner and board games, a basketball court, a Finnish sauna and a lot of space around. We have also prepared bicycles and a projector with a screen for watching movies. But still, it would be a pity to spend the whole holiday without at least one trip around the area. We are in the Barycz Valley, a land of ponds, birds and carp. We recommend your legs to head towards:
- Antoniowa, where a swimming pool, a 19th-century palace with an English-style park, Szperek lake and the annual "Chopin in the colors of autumn" festival await you,
- Ponds Przygodzice, i.e. about 70 picturesque fish ponds,
- an observation tower over the Trzcielin pond,
- the nature park in Odolanów (there is even an astronomical observatory here!),
- a hunting palace from 1852 in Moje Wola, which, although its best days are long behind it, still intrigues with its façade made of cork oak, imported from Portugal,
- the colorful Carp Trail, leading, among others, through the tower of blue birds at the Grabownica pond, the palace and park complex in Żmigród or the mainstay of the Polish horse on Milicz (all places and a map here: https://dnikarpia.barycz.pl/szlaki/)
- the landscape park of the Barycz Valley.
When planning a trip around the latter, it is worth using the application that describes the trails and attractions of Barycz. You can download it here https://www.dolinabaryczy.travel/ A great idea to get to know Barycz will also be a walk with forester Jakub Wenck - https://obrazylasu.pl/lesne-spacery/
What’s there for children?
We took care of the children with our hearts. We have prepared a playground on a safe surface and a basketball court for them, and we have equipped Baryczanka itself with coloring books, a high chair, children's cutlery and a travel cot.
