Have you ever wondered how olive oil is made? And what does the whole process of harvesting and traditional, not modern, preparation of olives for pressing look like? Just as a joke, try to name the countries that come to mind in connection with olive oil production... Oh, and haven't you forgotten Croatia?
Today we will take you to the island of Brac. To the second sunniest place in Croatia, right in the heart of a vast olive grove. Just the thought of it makes us totally soft. Here, just a few kilometres from Supetar, you can tuck yourself in and be alone. But also to discover the secrets of olive growing, harvesting, and the traditional and long soaking and drying in the sun that guarantee fragrant and delicious olive oil. And if you come here in October, you can try olive picking with your own eyes and hands.
In our opinion, the romance in this place is almost squealing. The stone house is like a traditional Dalmatian bungalow and will be just for the two of you. Fragrant lavender, a concert of cicadas and sea waves, sunshine. And we'll throw in the fact that the house is only 150 metres from the sea and has its own outdoor swimming pool.
So, if you are vitamin D deficient, pack your swimsuit, a good mood and go!
Get ready for a few days spent as a couple in a traditional bungee. If you would like to know what exactly it is, then read on. Bunja is the name for historical shelters that were once built only with the help of stone, without any connecting material. And they also have a stone roof. They simply belong to traditional buildings, just as cottages belong to Slovakia.
BUNJA
The area may not be the largest (25 m2), but it really has everything you need:
- double bed
- kitchenette with electric hob
- washing machine, air conditioning
- bathroom with shower
Outside you will find:
- heated swimming pool with deckchairs and parasol
- solar shower
- gazebo with seating
- outdoor gas grill
- 2x bicycles for wandering around the island
HEATED OUTDOOR POOL AND BEACH
All you have to do is step outside the house and you will have the entire heated pool to yourself, and you will have 150 meters to the sea and the beach. If you are with a dog, the dog-friendly beach is 1 kilometer away.
OLIVE GROVE
The house is situated in a vast olive grove (12,000 m2). You can spend time walking among the olive trees, sit under one or even take a nap. On the island of Brač, the Oblica variety, also known as the "Brač" olive, dominates. It has large, somewhat round fruits weighing up to 5 grams. These ripen from mid-October to mid-December and, in addition to the production of olive oil, are often used for canning (green or black olives). Olive oil from Brač is of exceptional quality and is an ideal seasoning for fresh salad, grilled fish and cooked vegetables. Will you taste it?
2 BUNJE
Just so you know, in addition to this bunja for only 2 people, you can also find a bunja for up to 6 people in the neighborhood. They are in the same olive grove, close to each other. But not so close that you don't have enough privacy. At the same time, their backs are turned to each other, so you can't see into the windows and each has its own space.
We leave what and when you eat up to you. And to make food preparation convenient for you, part of the house is a kitchen corner with a seating area. Here you will find everything you need, from mugs and a coffee machine for fragrant coffee, through pots and pans to a grill under an outdoor shelter.
In addition to olives, fruit trees also grow in our grove, so when you discover some fresh fruit, feel free to pick and enjoy. Of course, in the house you will also find our own olive oil for tasting. And when you like it, you can buy it for your home.

We think we have a real draw. Or even two.
The first one is what is immediately adjacent to the house, namely the outdoor pool. It has 23 m2 and beware, it is heated! So, when you come to us and the weather is not favorable for swimming in the sea, feel free to go to the pool!
The second attraction is the proximity of the beach and the sea. They are only 150 meters away from the house. And you will also get your own key to the diaphragm for the beach ;)

WHEN YOU HAVE STRAIGHT SHOES
- Supetar - just a few km from us you can go in search of history, mausoleum or sarcophagi or jump to the market
- Nerežišća - a picturesque village with stone houses, narrow streets and monuments from the 13th century
- settlement of Blaca - you will have to cover the last stage of the road to the settlement (approximately 2 hours) on foot. Maybe that's why not so many tourists flock here. But when you decide to come here, an unusual stone monastery with a rich library or an observatory with a huge telescope awaits you.
- Postira - the town is surrounded by beautiful beaches and bays. Even in one of them - in the bay of Lovrečina, the ruins of an ancient harbor lie under the sea level. It is worth going here even if you want to experience some traditional festival.
- Pučišća - get to know the area that is famous all over the world for its white marble. If it weren't for them, not even the White House would have anything white to brag about ;)
- Dragon Cave (Zmajeva spilja) - on the other side of the island, above the small village of Moruše, discover a cave decorated with reliefs. As usual, it was named after a dragon... carved into the wall. Interesting stories are connected with her. The hike to it is more difficult and entry is only possible with a guide.
- Bol and the Zlatni rat beach - perhaps the most famous Croatian beach awarded with the Blue Flag and whose tip is shaped by the force of sea currents and wind. Behind the beach is Vidova Gora (height 778 m), which is the highest peak on the Adriatic islands and from where you can enjoy wonderful views.
If you would like to combine all the attractions in one, you might think about VIA BRATTIA. It is a 140 km long circular tourist route that connects not only numerous settlements on the island of Brač, but also 12 of the island's most attractive cultural and historical locations.
