In case you were wondering, Croatia's Brac is not just the third largest island in the Adriatic, or one of the top ten destinations to live on. Who knows if the latter isn't the kind of abundance of sunny days and rays we can only dream of in our latitudes.
Here on Brač, just a few kilometres from Supetar or mainland Split, there is a bunja - for up to 6 people - hidden in an olive grove. And even though they have already used joining materials in its construction (unlike in the past), it still looks like a faithful copy of the original ones. They even used stones from the old dwellings to build its stone roof.
Add to the bunya a 12 000 m2 large olive grove, a beach and the sea only 120 meters away, an outdoor heated pool... Are you seeing yourself yet? Swimming in the sea, relaxing by the pool with an ice mohito in your hand, salivating in the evenings at the smell of grilled fish and sitting in the best row at the cicada philharmonic concert...
Time to reset and recharge with the energy of the sun and the sea, start! Pack up yourself, the kids or your friends and come. We will be waiting for you.
BUNJA
This traditional stone house is generous in space, so you can comfortably accommodate up to 6 people.
To be more precise, it looks like this inside:
- 2x bedrooms with double beds (4 people)
- 1x sofa bed (2 people, best for children and not adults)
- kitchen connected to the dining and living area
- bathroom with shower and toilet + another separate toilet
- air conditioning and automatic washing machine are also available
- 4x bicycles for wandering around the island (free of charge)
HEATED OUTDOOR POOL AND BEACH
A heated outdoor pool awaits you at the house, and the sea and beach are 120 meters away. If you took your dog on vacation, the beach where you can go is 1 kilometer away from us.
OLIVE GROVE
The house is situated in a vast olive grove. You can spend your time walking among the olive trees, sitting under one or even taking a nap in a hammock. Here on the island of Brač, the Oblica variety, also nicknamed "Brač" olive, dominates. The olive oil from it is of exceptional quality and you should definitely try it when you are here. October is the olive harvest season, so if you want, feel free to join us. We will be happy to :)
INFO
In addition to your bunja, there is another smaller one on the property for other guests. However, the bunjas are far enough apart to allow you to enjoy plenty of privacy. They have their backs to each other, so you cannot see into the windows and each bunja has its own private space.
We have not forgotten anything in this private kingdom of yours. We have equipped the kitchen so that your Robinsonade is perfect. So a dishwasher will not be missing either.
Spend your summer evenings outside under the open sky and treat yourself to some grilled local or seafood delicacies with a glass of wine. An outdoor gas grill will help you here. And when you feel like fish, feel free to let us know and we will get them for you.
Olive oil is an essential part of the Mediterranean diet, and here you will be able to taste ours, from the olive trees that surround you. And you will also be able to buy it at home.
Otherwise, in addition to olive trees, there are also fruit trees in our orchard, so when you come across fresh fruit, feel free to enjoy it.
What to say here - we assume that the sea and the beach are what attracted you. You will be literally a few minutes' walk away from the waves of the sea. And if you would like to know the exact distance, it is 120 meters.
Did you come to us with your four-legged pet? Do not despair, only 1 kilometer from us is a beach specially for dogs.
In addition to the fact that the bunja is surrounded by a vast olive grove and fruit trees, where you can float in a hammock, you can also take a dip in the pool. It is heated, so if you are one of those winter-loving people, you will not be deprived of anything.
BIKES
There are also 4 bicycles ready for you - free of charge. Feel free to use them to explore the island or go shopping in Supetar.
EXPLORE THE ISLAND OF BRAČ
- Supetar - just a few km from us you can go in search of history, a mausoleum or sarcophagi
- Škrip - the oldest settlement on the island, where you cannot miss the Brač Island Museum or the Olive Oil Museum. Otherwise, you can easily taste olive oil or local food here. (More here: https://www.muzejuja.com/)
- Nerežišća - a picturesque village with stone houses and narrow streets and with monuments dating back to the 13th century
- the settlement of Blaca - you will have to cover the last stage of the journey (approximately 2 hours) on foot. Maybe that's why not so many tourists flock here. But when you decide to come here, an unusual stone monastery with a rich library or an observatory with a huge telescope awaits you.
- Postira - the town is surrounded by beautiful beaches and bays. Even in one of them - in the bay of Lovrečina, the ruins of an ancient harbor lie under the sea level. It is worth going here even if you want to experience some traditional festival.
- Pučišća - get to know the area that is famous all over the world for its white marble. If it weren't for them, even the White House wouldn't have anything white to brag about ;) and while you're here, go to the lighthouse of St. Nicholas.
- Dragon Cave (Zmajeva spilja) - on the other side of the island, above the small village of Moruše, discover a cave decorated with reliefs. By the way, it got its name from the dragon... carved into the wall. Interesting stories are connected with it. The hike to it is more difficult and entry is only with a guide.
- Bol and the Zlatni rat beach - perhaps the most famous Croatian beach awarded with the Blue Flag and whose tip is shaped by the force of sea currents and wind. Behind the beach is the Vidova Gora mountain range (height 778 m), which is the highest peak on the Adriatic islands.
If you would like to combine all the attractions in one, you might think about VIA BRATTIA. It is a 140 km long circular tourist route that connects not only numerous settlements on the island of Brač, but also 12 of the island's most attractive cultural and historical locations.
And you can still go on sightseeing trips to the mainland, e.g. to Split or Trogir.
Although you won't find any special children's equipment here, we will prepare a cot for you when needed. Where else will your little ones be able to enjoy so much space to frolic and run around. They can easily try jumping into the pool and on the trampoline, and let's add swimming in the sea, where they can finally jump over the waves or go snorkeling.
