Our goal is to introduce you to places that are magical in their own way. Hostýnské vrchy, however, is a step further in terms of its magic. It is said that the Virgin Mary saved the Czech land from the Tatars, who came here in 1241 to kill and destroy.

Tatar warriors plundered Europe in the 13th century. When they arrived in Moravia, the poor population fled before them to Mount Hostýn, where a healing spring (from which you can still drink today) and prayer helped them survive. The Mother of God took pity on them and sent a storm on the invaders that literally scattered them. That is also why, unlike her other peaceful depictions, the Virgin Mary of the Holy Host mercilessly throws lightning bolts around her.

A magical aura has hovered over Hostýn since time immemorial. It was the site of a Celtic oppida, a Romanesque rotunda, and the mountain is said to be full of silver treasures. Today, the extraordinarily beautiful Basilica of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary stands here. Under the dome of the temple you will see a blue sky with golden stars, Wallachian motifs on the walls and an altar in a golden shine. Its decoration is on par with global competitors. Well, you can judge that for yourself.

From the lookout tower of the inn, you can see Hana in one direction, Wallachia in the other. You have the whole of Moravia in the palm of your hand. Enjoy such a view, as well as the whole atmosphere of the Hostýn Hills.

PRIVATE ACCOMMODATION

Among the classic village architecture of the Moravian village of Chvalčov, there is a small house that completely deviates from the established style. Our wooden Tiny House is nestled in a garden with an orchard and a view of a horse pasture. The minimalist upstairs bedroom offers only positives: coziness, comfort, silence and peace. Unlike classic attic rooms, it is also pleasantly cool in the summer thanks to modern air conditioning.

The large window in the living area is hidden from the eyes of the neighbors, so you don't have to worry about your privacy. You yourself can look out into nature from the comfortable armchairs and watch the horses in perfect trot. If you want, we can also arrange a ride for you.

For your convenience, an ecological toilet is located directly in our glamping accommodation. But that's not all! We will give you access to one more bathroom. A majestic, luxurious, almost spa-like experience in the color of gold and marble. Accommodation in nature is a beautiful thing, but comfort is comfort and a warm shower is essential.

Feel like cooking? Store the supplies in the fridge and use the equipped kitchenette with stove. But if the weather is forgiving, treat yourself to a barbecue and comfortable outdoor seating. We will prepare grilling utensils and wood for you in advance for a fee. All that's left for you is to expertly season the meat and vegetables and irritate the neighbors with the intoxicating aroma.

We will always prepare the basic ingredients for a pleasant breakfast in the kitchen (milk, cereal, tea, coffee...), including homemade eggs. And plums too. We leave it up to you whether it becomes part of breakfast or you keep it for an evening boost.

Relax in the garden or in the house with a beautiful view. But definitely recharge your energy by walking around the area.

Svátý Hostýn is best covered on foot, but if for any reason you don't feel up to it, take the bus. After admiring the basilica and stopping at the Museum of the Holy Host, head to the top along the Way of the Cross, which was created under the baton of the Slovak architect Dušan Jurkovič, a representative of the folk art nouveau style. The new way of the cross began to be created in 1904, when the old one stopped being enough for the number of pilgrims who came here to pray. Picturesque wooden stops in the spirit of Wallachian architecture line the entire path in the shape of a horseshoe.

A wonderful experience is also a horse ride, which we can arrange for you with the owner of the farm in nearby Blazice. The view from their ridges is almost as beautiful as from the Kelčský Javorník or Maruška lookout towers.

Take a trip to Baťov Zlín and "the most beautiful historical city of the Czech Republic", Kroměříž. Nearby castles, chateaux and museums are beautifully accessible by bike and on foot.
