We brought a pinch of exoticism to Stare Czapla thanks to a house with interiors reminiscent of Bali. We finished them with clay plaster, filled them with wooden furniture, arts and crafts, as befits wabi-sabi. And although the climate (the external one) is slightly different, inside you can feel like in the archipelago of the Small Sunda Islands: natural and carefree. And just like there, surrounded by nature and wild animals, relax. Instead of monkeys, we have herons, lizards, hedgehogs, storks, roe deer, hares and frogs. Looking out for them is more addictive than your favorite series. Instead of rice fields, we have meadows and a garden full of flowers. In place of the sea, a wreath loosely woven from six lakes. There are a dozen or so lakes arranged in wreaths, most of them will be within a few minutes' walk. To one - Lake Kamionka, you can go even barefoot, because there will be about 100 meters to go.
It came out completely naturally that our house made of rough larch fits into the rustic landscape. We have a lot of seductive charms waiting for you in the interior for eight and in the immediate surroundings. Windows overlooking nature, a fireplace to warm up in the evenings, a hammock hung on the terrace and a hot tub for children and adults, the views of which are worth more than 1000 words. That's why we won't try to describe them, come and see for yourself.
Look for us in Swiss Kaszubska, in the Kashubian Landscape Park. We built our 100-meter house near Lake Kamionka, among meadows and fields, surrounded by forests. With its façade made of rough larch boards, the idyllic garden surrounding it and the natural finish of the interior, it fits into the existing landscape and integrates with the surroundings. The nearest one we have here is 16 ares.
House has two floors. The ground floor consists of: a spacious and cozy living room, a kitchenette and a bathroom with a shower and a washing machine. On the first floor you will find 3 bedrooms and a toilet.
Layout of sleeping places:
– a bedroom with a double bed 180 cm wide,
– a bedroom with a double bed 140 cm wide,
– a bedroom with a bunk bed (the mattress on the bottom is 120 cm and can fit two people, on the top - 90 cm for one person) and a single bed.
Huge windows allow you to enjoy the view of the lake, which is 100 meters away, the forest and the surrounding hills.
The interiors are inspired by the island of Bali and the Mediterranean style and make you feel like you are on an exotic holiday. . They are filled with wooden furniture, seagrass accessories and handicrafts. The atmosphere is created by the colors of the earth and the finishing of the walls with clay plaster.
We have a home sewage treatment plant and photovoltaic panels. We wanted the house to be as environmentally friendly as possible. It is energy-saving and made mostly of natural materials (the walls are made of expanded clay concrete, the roof and floor are made of thick wood, the facade is made of raw boards).
In front of the house there is a terrace and a tub. We have prepared for you deckchairs, pillows and seats as well as a hammock-swing. On the side there is a bamboo roof under which you can grill. There is also a separate place for a bonfire on the plot.
The grounds are large and offer privacy, but we have neighbors whose houses are visible from our lot.
You will cook yourself in the kitchen equipped with an induction hob, oven, fridge, toaster, blender and dishwasher. And, of course, all the necessary cooking utensils.
On the side of the house we have a covered barbecue shelter and a table with chairs that allow you to enjoy meals together outdoors. We also have a special place for a bonfire.
But if you don't like cooking on your own, you can eat well in the area. I recommend you:
– Modra Sobótka in Ręboszewo – dumplings with goose and smoked plum served there are already legendary,
– Zajazd Kuchnjo in Smętów Chmieleński, which looks inconspicuous from the outside, where you can try home-made Kashubian cuisine and buy local specialties – bread, home-made meats and cheeses,
– a restaurant in Gościniec Malinówka in Krzeszna, where you will eat and take out various dishes, in particular we recommend crayfish soup. You will also find jams and honey in jars here.
You can reach each of them in max. 15 minutes by car.
We have created our house to be able to experience relaxation with family or friends, and thanks to the natural interiors and the climate built by accessories referring to the island of Bali, we can also feel like on an exotic holiday. In and around the house you will be able to:
- experience nature with all your senses,
– indulge in lazy dragging in a swing,
- catch the sun's rays on a lounger,
– meditate on the terrace,
– read or think by the fireplace,
– jump into a tub with water heated by a wood stove,
– dance together by the evening bonfire and stare at the Milky Way, which is clearly visible from here,
– grill and feast outdoors,
– in the garden, lie on the grass, play boules or disc golf (throwing discs into metal baskets),
– play board games that we have left for you,
– organize film screenings in the living room where the screen is rolled out.
One hundred meters from the house (exactly opposite) there is an intimate beach on the crystal clear Kamionka Lake, perfectly visible from our plot.
The area is mainly forests and lakes, you can walk as much as you want and sunbathe or swim in a different lake every day. The closest lakes to us are: Bukrzyno Małe, Bukrzyno Duże, Buk, Sołeckie, Ostrzyckie and Raduńskie Dolne. Between the lakes: Raduńskie Dolny and Raduńskie Górne, there is an isthmus at the end of a forest gorge, which leads from Kartuzy. This is the Kashubian Gate.
The moraine Szymbarskie Hills spread nearby, it is worth taking a walk to their highest peak - Wieżyca, where there is an observation tower (329 m above sea level). The hills are the highest situated place in the Kashubian Lake District and in the entire Central European Lowlands.
In Koszałków, at the foot of Wieżyca, there is an Active Leisure Centre. From here, in the summer, canoeing trips on the Radunia River and the Raduńskie Lakes start, there are fishing spots, a playground, a swimming pool and a stable.
And in winter, there is the largest ski resort in Pomerania with two slopes, the possibility of trying snowtubbing and a ski school.
In the area, you can also raft down the Łeba, Bukowina and Słupia rivers. River waterways are complemented by numerous lakes. One of the most popular is the Kółko Raduńskie trail, which forms a 38.1 km long loop around the lakes.
After arriving in these areas in the second half of the first century AD. Goths and Gepids, there are numerous traces in the form of meeting places of tribal elders and burial places. In Węsiory you can see four stone circles, twenty burial mounds and a cemetery. There are at least 2,763 burial mounds in Uniradze. You can learn more about their history on the educational trail.
What’s there for children?
We checked the list of local attractions on our own children. At the top of the hit list is a tub and a lake for all kinds of splashes. Our children love to spot wild animals, which we have in abundance here. Especially in summer, closer or farther you can meet: herons, lizards, hedgehogs, storks, roe deer, hares, frogs. And instead of rooster crowing in the morning, hear (and marvel at) the clang of cranes.
For children, we have boules and disc golf to play outside, and waiting books (including nature-themed books) and board games inside.
We leave you a list of places in the area that may interest your little ones below.
What’s there for employees?
In two bedrooms there are desks where you can work.
