In our foothills, the Dynowskie Foothills, in the 15th century, settlers settled. They built whore huts, long and narrow. It consisted of a residential part and an economic part, which was divided by the so-called playing field. People lived in them with animals. When we ran into ours, it was a cabin in the wilderness. Overgrown on all sides, leaning against the forest and completely inaccessible. So it started with making the road. Then it's time to grab grinders and heat guns in your hands and start digging. Because we did everything we could here ourselves. None of the 150-year-old beams needed to be replaced. With hard work, it was only necessary to bring the hut back to life. The roof had to be replaced, the walls had to be sealed, they had to be grouted and mossed, the windows had to be tanned, polished and glazed, and the old stove had to be saved. Then just carefully choose wallpapers, bring sophisticated furniture, decorate the walls with paintings and portraits of ancestors (not necessarily ours), saved from oblivion. Knick-knacks dug out of old things together with rugs, pillows and candles build the atmosphere, because coziness is the highest good here. Today, the cottage spreads its charm, tempting with the warmth of the fireplace, a rocking chair where you can rest with a book on your lap and a huge window to look out at the forest. You will be a few steps away from him. In the morning you can watch deer, go out in your pajamas for mushrooms for scrambled eggs, including a session of forest bathing. You can bake pizza or flatbread on the oven tray, dream blissful dreams in two flowery bedrooms and immerse yourself completely in this atmosphere: homely, forest and unhurried. Here we have a rural idyll, complete seclusion and a network of contacts that result in local products. Nearby is the Fredro castle Kamieniec, vineyards bear fruit, hiking, cycling and running trails mix. But perhaps most importantly, we learned the recipe for unadulterated bliss here, and we love to share it.

Here Slowhop will describe your place

Host:
Monika i Piotr WsiaMać
Hi, this is Monika (homehen, would-be war correspondent) and Piotr (former heavy metal musician) and Jaś (future soldier), Małgosia (almost a student of oriental studies) and two cats - Finka and Plaster. We are broadcasting to you from a country cottage, which was the home of a war hero - priest Józef Panaś, transported by tractor to our place. From Monday to Friday we are corporate people dreaming of slowlife, peasants at heart, farmers, carpenters, village hosts. In our free time, we wander around the Beskids as a family or travel to more distant lands. Moving the house and renovating it turned out to be more difficult than the project, but we persevered and completed the operation. We did the finishing work alone, the two of us, after work, at night and usually in not very comfortable thermal conditions. From this placing, cleaning, grinding, grouting (we put a kilometer of grout!), painting, sealing, wallpapering, our WsiaMać was created, which immodestly impresses us and our guests. It may happen that you will see us staring at the ceiling beams or stroking the door - we can't help but love this place. We also have a large garden, a well-groomed stand of trees, and we fly to the forest in pajamas to get boletus for scrambled eggs. We value peace and quiet, although we really like people, long evening conversations, we do not tolerate rudeness, intolerance and disco polo. We care about our guests, but we do not impose ourselves with our presence, we are nearby. With us, there will be no loud, boisterous, all-night parties, we invite you to a peaceful rest in the bosom of nature. Now our two huts have been joined by a third - and this is Cichata, located a bit further, found on the spot, not brought from anywhere. Located in the forest, it can be a beautiful asylum for five.

We like the forest and it was there that we found a wooden cottage that is 150 years old. We decided to give it a beautiful second life, and to give you, dear guests, a place that brings bliss and effectively resets your heads. We have an extraordinary forest here, because it is part of the Czarnorzecko-Strzyżowski Landscape Park. Where to find us? In the Dynowskie Foothills. It used to be a hen hut with two rooms where animals lived and were kept - chickens and sheep. Today the house consists of: – living room with fireplace, sofa and huge window, – two bedrooms with double beds, – kitchen with stove, – the kitchen area, where there is a single bed – there is also a rocking chair there, it is an ideal place to read, – bathrooms with shower. We created it for five people close to us. Come with your family or friends and pets. Inside there is a wealth of trinkets collected by our entire family. There is porcelain, furniture and accessories found at various fairs. There are carefully selected wallpapers, oil paintings and portraits of ancestors, not always ours. There are plenty of rugs, blankets and pillows, because in a wooden cottage, coziness is the highest good. There is also a huge window from which you can look at the forest, which is just a few steps away. We did everything we could in this interior ourselves. The plot is 1 hectare in size and is adjacent to the forest. There are mountains and valleys, and on one side there is a stream. The area is a bit wild, green and with a view of the trees. The house has no neighbors. It is like a hermitage in which you can hide away and from which you can not move at all. There is a terrace in front of the entrance. The work is still in progress, but we are planning steps that will lead to the grill and fireplace area. The house is year-round and electrically heated. When it's cold, you have to light the stove yourself. We will provide you with as much wood as you need to keep you warm!

One of our first Guests couldn't get over her delight over the saved stove and didn't want to leave the kitchen. The restored stove is certainly the heart of this house and can be a big attraction. You can cook on it, and make pizza or flatbreads on a baking tray. In addition to the stove, the kitchen is equipped with all the comforts to be able to cook whatever you want. You can easily buy local products in the area - we will share the details with you. A few nearby gastro curiosities: – at the market in Krosno you can buy vegetables and fruits from local farmers, – in Dukla you will buy delicious goat cheeses with various flavors, – in the craft brewery Wojkówka you can try beers based on old recipes and watch the process of their production, – in Korczyn there is the Chocolate Pump Room, where, in addition to delicacies, you can also take part in workshops led by the Polish Confectioner Mirosław Pelczar, – in the Zamkowa vineyard in Korczyn, at your request, we can organize a wine tasting (for at least 4 people), – in Kombornia, at an altitude of 470 meters above sea level there is another vineyard, Widokowa, where, in addition to tasting wine, you can admire the panorama of the Low Beskids (the vineyard organizes various events, you can find out more from their FB page).

Come here to get bored! Take forest baths, walk through flowery meadows, and go to the forest for mushrooms for scrambled eggs, even in pajamas. Such is the climate here: familiar, forest and unhurried. Inside the cottage you can read, stare and fall in love (using the charms of a rocking chair), look for forest animals from the terrace, get lost in the garden and think about blue almonds. If you feel like exploring the area, here is a list of our recommendations: – on a bike it is worth going to Korczyna, Haczów and Rymanów, but you can also go completely without a plan, because the area is conducive to two-wheel trips (a stop can be made at a nearby brewery or at a chocolate bar in Korczyn), – every year in September, balloons rise to the Krosno sky as part of the International Mountain Balloon Competition, you can spot them from the garden! – in the Prządki rock reserve, located on the border of Czarnorzeka and Korczyna, you will see, among others, rock clubs reaching up to 20 meters in height. There are 5 hiking trails through the reserve, from which you can see the Kamieniec Castle, – the castle in Korczyn-Odrzykoń is the one described in Revenge (its owner was Aleksander Fredro, who, while browsing through the archives, came across the trial files of the former owners of the property - they became the inspiration for the book). The castle is open to the public from mid-April to the end of October, maintenance works are carried out there in the autumn and winter season, – in winter, numerous cross-country trails and a ski slope in Czarnorzeki tempt you, although you also have a lot of fun going down on sledges or apples from the surrounding hills (and not only children have it), – the nearby charming Krosno stands not only with glass, but also with museums. We recommend to your attention the best tourist facility since 2013: the Glass Heritage Center in Krosno. In the Podkarpackie Museum you will see the largest collection of kerosene lamps in Europe, in the Museum of Crafts you can see the works of local craftsmen, and in the Farna Tower - clocks made by Michał Mięsowicz, the founder of the First National Tower Clock Factory, as well as pubs, cafes and a very nice market square, – you can kayak down the Wisłok and San rivers, – in August it is worth going to the Krosno Carpathian Climates (and there: wine, bread, dances, concerts) and the Hungarian Wine Festival, – a little further is Sanok with its charming old town, Galician market, beautiful open-air museum, viewing platform, Zbigniew Beksiński gallery and the Museum of Icons, which is right next door. The whole Beskid Niski is quite nearby to admire and traverse.

What’s there for children?

We have an atmosphere here straight from holidays with your beloved grandma. The youngest can freely explore the huge garden, look for animals emerging from the forest and observe birds (it is worth taking binoculars with you). Forest walks and bike rides are options for active people. In winter, it is worth having a sledge with you, because the surrounding hills bring a lot of fun. You can also go to the slopes. In the interior for children, we leave books and board games, which are useful when the weather is not favorable or when the evenings are long. What else? – The Bursaki Swimming Pool Complex in Krosno is picturesquely situated just above the meandering Wisłok River. There are three heated swimming pools, including a paddling pool for children with numerous attractions (such as a water and dry playground), – nature paths: At the Kamieniec castle and the path connecting Odrzykoń with the Prządki reserve, – The Glass Heritage Center in Krosno, where you can come for sightseeing and metallurgical shows (for different age groups), – a ride on a train traveling through the streets of Krosa, – the Museum of the Oil and Gas Industry in Bóbrka, which is located on the premises of the oldest oil mine in the world, opened in 1854, – The Ethnocentre of the Krosno Land, where you can go for an interactive walk, a meeting with living culture and one of the many organized workshops (handicraft, culinary, craft and even singing), – Educational Center of the Magurski National Park in Krempna, where you can take part in a multimedia show showing a year of life in the park (and in the process listen to the sounds made by a wolf, deer or buzzard), take part in workshops on identifying animal tracks and set off on a trail in search of adventures , – Archaeological Open-air Museum of the Carpathian Troy in Trzcin, where pottery and archery workshops are held, – Żarnowiec, and there the People's School remembering the year 1866, where numerous classes and workshops are held, and games and activities from the old days are organized. Right next to it is the Museum of Maria Konopnicka. – a ride on the Bieszczady Forest Railway with two routes to choose from: from Majdan to Balnica (9 km long) and from Majdan to Przysłup, which is 11 km long (currently under renovation and is open on a 6-kilometre section to Dołżyca). In winter, the cable car runs only on the route to Balnica, – gondola ride in Solina, led between the Plasza and Jawor mountains, along the water dam on Solina Lake (takes about 8 minutes).
