This silence is surprising and addictive. It sharpens the senses. Thanks to it, you can smell how the house smells of pancakes, and then realize that it is actually the aroma of the larch facade warmed by the sun. In bed at bedtime, breathe in the air full of essential oils and appreciate the house made of solid wood. Slowly enjoy the taste of wholemeal bread, dumplings and risotto, and then just go through the gate to our Lago Piccolo. Besides, in Tu Szybko we speak even slower. After all, nothing is chasing us. The Borecka Forest is still standing, Lake Krzywa Kuta still hides secrets, and cranes return to the surrounding fields every year. So if you don't have time to think, we invite you, we will share our.
In the morning, we will serve you breakfast, arrange the time for dinner, and then suggest where to find a moment for yourself. Maybe on a magical peat bog? On a bike trip, along the Masurian Legends trail, or drifting on a SUP on the lake by the house. A house on the hill of Garbate Mazury will effectively hide you from the world. Fall into a green oasis among the desert meadows. This is not a mirage.
P.S. During the holiday season from mid-June to the end of August, we invite children over 10 years old, and toddlers and toddlers during the rest of the period.
We cordially invite you to our guesthouse perched on a hill overlooking a small lake. Inside, you'll breathe clean air and essential oils, as it's built using special CLT (Cross Laminated Timber) technology. The structure is made of spruce, and the façade is made of larch. Many of the finishing touches and décor (tabletops in the living room, kitchen countertops, our library, stairs, bedside tables, and coffee table tops in the rooms) are made from construction waste. We've tried to utilize materials to the maximum.
Our guesthouse isn't large; we can accommodate a maximum of 11 people. We live on the ground floor, in our private area, and we're happy to cook meals for you.
The ground floor of the house features:
- an open-plan space with:
- a library,
- a dining room where we serve breakfast and dinner, and where you can spend your free time,
- a kitchen, which is also open, but due to sanitary regulations, guests have no access,
- a terrace running the length of the house,
- a toilet,
- our private living area.
The first floor houses 4 guest rooms (each room has its own bathroom with a shower):
- 3 rooms are for 1-3 people and feature double beds, a desk with a chair, and a comfortable fold-out armchair (extra bed) that can be placed on top of a comfortable mattress. This armchair then becomes a full-size single bed.
- 1 family room, for 1-4 people, has two bedrooms. One has a double bed, a desk with a chair, and an armchair. The other has two fold-out armchairs that can be used as full-size single beds if needed, and another desk with a chair.
The house sits on a one-hectare fenced plot, 125 meters from a lake, which can be accessed directly through a gate at the end of the garden.
PS. During the summer season (June 12–August 31, 2026), we welcome children over 10 years of age, and toddlers and toddlers during the rest of the year.
We invite you! We'll be happy to feed you to your heart's content, from breakfast to dinner. Our love for Italy shines through in the kitchen, but you can also feel the local, Masurian influence. We serve risotto, pastas, vegetable casseroles, as well as floury delights like kopytka (potato dumplings), lazy and Silesian dumplings with sauces, pancakes, crepes, waffles...
We cook and bake vegetarian meals, but if we manage to find good local fish, we'll be happy to prepare it for you.
Breakfast is served at 9:00 AM buffet-style, featuring homemade bread, sweets, eggs, our spreads, local cheeses, vegetables, and delicious coffee with spices.
During the summer season, dinner is served at 6:00 PM, and on shorter days, when it's cool outside and your appetite is heightened, at 5:00 PM. We prepare a hearty three-course meal, including soup, a main course, and dessert with coffee or tea.
We try to buy the ingredients we use for our meals from local suppliers. We get eggs from Stasiek – our Guardian Angel and Benefactor, cheese from Tereska, honey from Andrzej and Kasia, and in-season organic vegetables from Asia and Tomek. We've also started our own vegetable garden, where we've planted cucumbers, zucchini, pumpkins, kale, herbs, and rhubarb. We'll see what the harvest is like and whether the weather is favorable for the plants.
The kitchen (due to sanitary regulations) is not accessible to guests. However, if you feel like making yourself a coffee or tea, there's a comfortable common area with a table where you'll find a kettle with adjustable water temperature, a drip coffee maker, and coffee, tea, and herbs.
Let yourself be persuaded to mazurotherapy, i.e. slowly and simply. It was for this unhurried aura that we chose this place, not any other. The buffer zone of the Borecka Forest, on the edge of the Piławiecka Switzerland, surrounded by meadows and groves covered by the Natura 2000 program. Because you can not move beyond the plot, and you can go behind the fence and walk for hours in the forests, peat bogs, humps, around lakes. On the way, you will not meet anyone or wild animals that live here permanently. Probably on the other side of the hill deer will be grazing, in the meadow opposite you can stand an elk, there are also deer that organize a rut in autumn and cranes, making themselves known from the first days of spring.
So if from the first minutes of the day you are thinking what would happen today, go to the field. We will encourage you to take Nordic Walking sticks with you, because the area is begging for a decent walk. We use and recommend. follow:
- Lake Krzywa Kuta, one of the cleanest in the area, located in the silence zone. It is only 350 m from us. You can sunbathe, bathe and even sail to the island of Heart Eater. You will get to know this rural legend on the spot.
- For more Masurian legends, follow the gravel road to the Trail of the Devil's Paw - also about 300 meters. There is an erratic boulder here, supposedly used as a sacrificial stone for the Prusai. It was described in one of the many fairy tales of Jadwiga Tressenberg, a teacher from a nearby village. Near the boulder, there is a large sculpture referring to this legend and a plaque with the history and map of the "Masurian Legends Trail". We recommend cycling this trail.
- Lake Gołdopiwo - very clean, transparent, great for swimming and sunbathing. You can rent kayaks and pedal boats. By bike 10 minutes, on foot 24 minutes. Once you are at this lake, check out the Przerwanki Lock on the Sapina River or cross the Lock in a canoe.
- On a gravel road in the village that forms a loop, so it's perfect for morning Nordic Walking with fogs and more. Sometimes you can be surprised and surprised who will emerge from the fog on our way, e.g. a herd of horses. The large loop takes about 1h40 walking, 1h20 at Nordic Walking pace. On the way, you will pass old habitats, Lake Gołdopiwo and Żabinka, and forests. You will walk along the edge of the Borecka Forest.
- To find forest dystrophic lakes located among the trees (walk about 50 minutes) - Biała Kuta, Kacze, Smolak. The lakes are surrounded by dancing peat bogs. The shores are overgrown with mosses and a swamp (a beautiful flowering plant), and the ground bends underfoot. It is a phenomenal place. You can pick cranberries there.
- By bike on the route between Stręgielek and Budry (an old town with a "collapsed" railway line, today the Green Velo bicycle route). There you will reach a hill - a viewpoint where you will be able to rest.
Finally, you can lie on our grassy beach by Dziubek Lake - as the locals call it. It's clean, but there's a lot of seaweed in it. We have SUP boards and inflatables for you so that you can drift freely on the surface. There is no one by the lake except us and a few anglers. It's really quiet here. Might be too quiet for some.
During the SUMMER SEASON (12/06 - 31/08/2026) we invite FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN OVER 10 years old, during the remaining periods we are waiting for all BABIES, TODDLERS and KIDS.
Each room has a desk with a chair. After breakfast, you can move your work to the dining room and sit there at a table overlooking the green and blue. You can also go out on the terrace and work in sunglasses :)
