In Płoszczyn, where there is only silence, a slightly sleepy atmosphere and omnipresent peace, felt even at the fingertips, we built a house whose 50-meter interior is comfortable and homely. Two bedrooms can accommodate two couples or a family with children, and there is a fold-out sofa in the living room. The glass front wall allows you to watch the sunrise from the upstairs bedroom and its sunsets from the ground floor or terrace. Stromiec rises on the horizon, 551 meters above sea level, and the idyllic frame is often filled with horses and cows grazing on the surrounding pastures. While resting on a deckchair, you can watch the paragliders who take a liking to the nearby Glider Mountain. In 1923, the world's second glider school was established on the slope of "Szybowcyy", training future Luftwaffe pilots. One of them was Hanna Reitsch - test taker, glider sports record holder, Adolf Hitler's pilot and the first woman to fly over the Alps. Today, Cessnas, Orioles and Rooks land on the summit. You can also go there to admire the entire Karkonosze range, the Jizera Mountains and Rudawy Janowickie, and taste traditional food in an atmospheric inn. We know the area like the back of our hand and we will tell you what, where and how. We will send you on bicycle trails and rafting down the Bóbr River, and in winter on ski tours, we will show you what is worth seeing to learn the extraordinary stories of the Jelenia Góra Valley.
Take comfortable shoes, two wheels and a dog and come.
The name of our house immediately reveals where to look for us. At the foot of Stromiec rising 551 meters above sea level, located in the Mały Grzbiet Kaczawskie Mountains, between Wapienna and Szybowcowa Góra.
Our house has 50 m², large glazing providing soothing mountain views and a terrace where you can sit on sun loungers and watch paragliders fly by.
Its interior layout:
– a bright living room with a double sofa bed, a table and a kitchenette, a bathroom with a shower and a lockable bedroom with two single beds,
– a closed bedroom with a double bed on the first floor.
Artur and I took care of the atmosphere of the interiors and their coziness. It is simple, colorful and with a few real home accents - one of the chairs comes from the flea market held during September Jelenia Góra, and in the bedroom downstairs there is a painting of Śnieżka and an elf riding a fox, by a good friend - you must know that the elf guards the keys to the house and when you arrive you will have to find them :)
The plot is surrounded by a wooden fence, under which deer like to come to nibble our trees. We have a birdhouse and two decorative wooden houses in red, which are an accent referring to our French travels. We are dog-loving and welcome with dogs.
Our house is located off the beaten track of the village, ensuring peace and quiet. We are located on the border of the Bóbr Valley Landscape Park and the beautiful forests of the Śnieżka Forest District.
It is idyllic and angelic with us when it comes to the atmosphere. It is built especially by breath-taking sunsets and magical landscapes that change their climate depending on the aura outside the window. We will be honest with you, despite such natural circumstances, you have to try hard here to get bored. Because the area tempts and calls to discover all its nooks and crannies. We have here: forests, mountains, the Bóbr Valley, the Kaczawskie Mountains, the Land of Extinct Volcanoes, the Karkonosze Mountains, Rudawy Janowickie, the Jizera Mountains and the Valley of Palaces and Gardens.
MOUNTAINS
You can go on a 2.5-hour trip to Stromiec and connect the black trail with the blue loop, covering about 8 km. It will take you about an hour to climb the hill overlooking Płoszczyna.
Glider Mountain. You can combine the trip to it and to Stromiec, conquering two peaks of Korona Kaczawska in one go. Szybowcowa offers a frontal view of the buildings of Jelenia Góra (it is worth seeing both day and night), the Karkonosze Mountains, the Wałbrzyskie Mountains, the Rudawy Janowickie Mountains, the Izerskie Mountains and finally the Kaczawskie Mountains and Foothills. At the top there is a glider with 6 lanes. It can be reached not only on foot, but also by bicycle.
BICYCLES
The surroundings of the house are quiet and peaceful routes located away from the main tourist traffic. They are designed for both MTB and road bikes. There are great singletracks on the slope of Mount Okole, and due to the fact that there is little car traffic, the routes are great for a road bike. We love routes along the Bóbr Valley towards the Pilchowicka Dam and Wleń, as well as around the Land of Extinct Volcanoes: Płoszczyna - Czernica - Janówek - Chrośnica - Proboszczów - Bystrzyca. These are beautiful routes with good asphalt and very little car traffic.
PARAGLIDERS
You can admire from the terrace, but you can also try your hand at this sport. The best training place is Góra Szybowcowa, which lies next to the majestic Stromiec.
SKITOURS
Artur and I like unobvious places the most. Our favorite route is the hike to Góra Szybowcowa, downhill from both sides, i.e. the northern and southern slopes. When there is snow only in the Karkonosze Mountains, we like going to Równe pod Śnieżką, to the highest located brewery in the Czech Republic - Lucni Boudy. From there, we go down the slopes of Śnieżka from Kopa down to Karpacz.

What’s there for children?
For children - freedom and mountain adventure! In our area, the youngest can observe the numerous birds visiting the plot, look for roe deer in the morning and use the large area of the plot. In the area, you can walk, bike, and go canoeing or rafting on the Bóbr River. There are also a lot of interesting stories to discover and traces of the past to show children - castles, a dam, a bridge and a railway tunnel in Pilchowice, the Nielestno railway station and a railway bridge. And also child-friendly trails, such as the one on Stromiec or Szybowcowa.
Books and board games are waiting in the house, and below are a handful of our recommendations for the youngest.
What’s there for employees?
If work will be an obligatory position during your stay here, you don't have to worry - the internet works flawlessly. With a laptop, you can sit at the table on the ground floor or work from the sofa, bed or terrace.
