You probably think that we have a real idyll here. A wooden villa modeled on traditional Masurian cottages, with soft beds in cozy bedrooms, a tub among lights in the garden, and even your own smokehouse under a shelter. Behind the fence there is a lake and a forest, around bicycle trails and the meandering Omulew River, along which you can go kayaking. And yes, we do. Only the setting is quite random. For centuries, stories have been told here that have shrouded our area in mystery. Welcome to Singularity Lake.
They say that Omulew has two bottoms and treasures can be found in its waters. During World War I, chests full of gold coins belonging to General Samsonov were allegedly lost here. World War II, in turn, left its mark in the form of bunkers hidden among the forests. There was always something going on here. Already in the Middle Ages, an amber route ran through here and organized expeditions took place there. Our land was called the Land of 7 Singularities and this is where Krystyna Siesicka took the name from her famous novel, filmed in 1972. If you want, you can explore the legends about Lake Omulew on your own. It's worth it. However, our story is new and has no second meaning. Come with your family or a group of friends to a very comfortable house for your dream Masurian holiday. It's indecent how well you can relax here.
In addition to the villa, there is a small house for 2 people on the plot, which we rent in the summer at the villa rental price. For kids, a night there will be an unforgettable adventure!
We invite you to a comfortable, cozy villa right on Lake Omulew. Masuria is at its peak: with the lake just a few steps away and the forest just a stone's throw away, but without any sacrifices. In a house that looks like a country cottage from the outside, you'll relax like you're in a very good hotel. Except you'll be the master of your own vacation, as it's your own private home.
Inside:
– 3 bedrooms upstairs:
– two with double beds,
– one with twin beds,
– bathrooms: one with a shower on the ground floor and one with a bathtub on the first floor,
– living room with fireplace,
– kitchen with dining area,
– hall with sofas, a reading nook, and high-quality stereo equipment,
– covered terrace with garden furniture.
If the entire villa isn't enough for you, we also have another option. On the plot is a small summer house (20 m²) with accommodation for two people. It has two single beds that can be joined together. The cottage has its own kitchen and terrace, and not much else. The toilet and shower (open, summer) are located in the garden. The cottage can only be rented with the Villa, which is included in the price of the main cottage. Rentals are only available during the May-October season.
Outside, on our fenced plot, you'll find a jacuzzi, an atmospheric outdoor sauna, a covered shelter with a smokehouse, a grill (gas and fireplace), and a bread oven. For the kids, there's a playground and a trampoline. Because of the beautiful cycling trails, we provide four bicycles and, to add variety to your stay, two SUP boards are available for water activities.
For evening entertainment or in case of bad weather, you can use high-quality music equipment, board games, a library, and table football.
Neighbors live behind the fence, but the house is nestled among trees, and our plot is large, so you don't have to worry about privacy.
In a comfortable and refined kitchen you will not lack anything for delicious home cooking. You can also enjoy our rural outdoor kitchen - a grill, a bread oven and a smokehouse are waiting under the shelter. Nothing brings to mind Masurian holidays like the aroma of smoked fish. And if you prefer to relax from cooking, you can always eat something tasty in nearby restaurants.
The Port Jabłonka restaurant is open only in the summer season and is based on local products. You will eat there fresh fish, e.g. tench in cream, but also e.g. scrambled eggs with chanterelles. There is also a year-round pantry next to the restaurant, where we send you for local meats and cheeses or bread from local suppliers.
To taste real Warmian cuisine, go to the Warmian Inn in Butryny. In this place, they will serve you aromatic karmuszka, fresh fruit or dzyndzałki.
Here you can spend all day in the garden, lie on the terrace, smoke fish, bake your own bread in the oven and organize feasts under the shed. When the evening comes - jump into a tub among the trees, have a bath in the bathtub upstairs or catch up on TV series in soft armchairs and listen to podcasts. You can, but you don't have to, because behind the fence there are plenty of opportunities for adventure:
– discovering the historical Land of 7 Curiosities – you can go on a trip along the trail of the villages that make up the land: Wikno, Jabłonka, Natać Duże and Natać Mała, located in the Ramucko-Napiwodzka Forest; let yourself be carried away by the regional folklore and take an educational walk along the trail of old Masurian professions (the walk "Trail of Old Mazury" is organized by the Society for the Development of the Omulew Area) or visit the "Z.Kozuba i Sonowie" distillery,
– if you are interested in the wartime history of the region, you will certainly be interested in bunkers, anti-tank ditches and shooting positions hidden in the surrounding forests,
– in Nidzica, visit the Teutonic castle from the 15th century, where the Teutonic prosecutor resided; today there is a hotel there, but also a quite exquisite restaurant - maybe it's a good place for a romantic dinner?,
– bathing in Lake Omulew – there are several beaches and bathing areas around it, also guarded; the nearest one is 1 km from the house,
– kayaking on the Omulew River – you can choose a route lasting several hours to start, and even several days if you are keen canoeists: a good place to start the trip is the beach between the villages of Jabłonka and Wikno on Lake Omulew. The trail leads through the lake, and then along the villages of: Dębowiec, Wesołowo, Głuch, Wielbark, Krukowo, Brodowe Łąki, Czarnotrzew, Przystań, Białobrzeg Further, Białobrzeg Closer, Kruki, and finally the river flows into the Narew in the southern part of Ostrołęka; Omulew flows through the Napiwodzko-Ramucka Forest and the Kurpiowska Forest - on the way you can admire beautiful views of various coastal vegetation and observe wild species of birds,
– kayaking on the Marózka, the left tributary of the Łyna, the largest river of Warmia – it is a shallow, meandering river, and the trips on it are calm – it flows through the following lakes: Lubień, Mielno, Maróz, Pawlik and Święty, finally flows into the Kiernoz Wielki lake, through which it flows Łyna – on its route, you can choose several 2-3-, 4-hour sections, e.g. Swaderki-Kurki or Waplewo-Swaderki;
– horse riding – there are 2 good stables in our area, Kanthaka and Napiwoda, so if you feel freedom in the saddle, you will have many opportunities for moments with your hair flowing: you can arrange individual riding or field trips, but also relaxing hippotherapy,
– the pond turtle reserve on Lake Orłowo, 14 km from here; in search of turtles, you can go on a bicycle trip, and it is easiest to meet them in spring, during trips to their breeding sites,
– Garncarska Wioska is a thematic village operating in the village of Kamionka – you can eat local delicacies here, learn about disappearing professions, old traditions and customs, discover several thousand plants in Paradise Garden, take a walk around over 30 thematic corners and take part in workshops, e.g. clay modeling on the table, clay rolling on the potter's wheel, painting on glass, decorating Easter eggs or baubles or field games,
– and if you get bored with lakes and rivers, you can even climb the Golden Mountains, the highest range of hills in the Nidzica district; the peak on which the observation tower of the Jedwabno Forestry Inspectorate stands is 229 m above sea level.
A fenced plot where you can run around as much as you want, a playground, a trampoline, a terrace - it seems that we are the perfect place for a holiday with children. We have no age restrictions, but we have not prepared any facilities for complete toddlers. However, if you are looking for a place for a family holiday with children of several years and older, you will be very comfortable here. Behind the fence there is a lake, around there are forests where you can walk and ride a bike, and there is the whole of beautiful Masuria to discover. You can take your children kayaking, horseback riding, teach them fishing or play badminton.
We have fast internet, and the house has plenty of nooks and crannies to work in: the living room, a nook with a sofa and armchair in the upstairs hall, and a terrace with garden furniture. If you need privacy and quiet for work above all else, each bedroom has a desk and armchair, so you can even lock yourself away with your laptop for the entire day. And we'd love to finish this day sooner rather than later, because after work, the lake, forest, bike rides, and evening barbecues await you, along with a sauna and a jacuzzi with hot water and bubbles. To finish the evening, we suggest listening to vinyl on the turntable.
