I once spent the night in a shepherd's wagon converted into a small cabin. He was standing in an English forest, in a clearing. And although it lacked comforts and the shared bathroom with cold water was less welcoming than the campgrounds, this night was unlike any other. A wooden hut and the desire to build one in the Solska Forest did not want to leave my head. The search for barracks for repair came to nothing. That's why I designed the house myself, and a local carpenter brought it to life. It started with buying an old farm trailer at a local repair shop, fitting pine cladding, a few nights on Pinterest, and deciding on green windows. That's how he was created. An escape house for a single or a couple, which allows you to effectively cut yourself off from reality. Regal with colors drawn from floral wallpaper, created for relaxing in the forest, hammocking with a book and walking in the Roztocze fields.
It is impossible not to leave the surrounding forests with a basket full of mushrooms and a mouth black with berries. Deer, elk and wolves have their home here, and spotted eagles, black storks, cranes, little wagtails and female travelers fly overhead from time to time. In the summer, you can go kayaking, cycling, visit local vineyards, see the waterfall on the Jeleń River or visit the Zamość Old Town. In winter, it is worth ice skating, go cross-country skiing or take part in a sleigh ride. But above all, it is worth waking up slowly here, unhurriedly stretching in the bedding and staring at the trees, starting the day with a smile.
Działy's wagon was inspired by an English shepherd's hut and Drzymała's wagon. Made of pine wood with green details, it stands in the heart of Roztocze, near Susiec.
In the car you will find: a bed with a view of the forest, a small kitchen and a bathroom. It is surrounded by a green plot, which is located in a housing estate. We have neighbors so please don't throw big parties here.
On the other side of the road is the village of Huta Szumy.
The house is perfect for a weekend trip out of town and an episode from reality.
The kitchen is small but well equipped. There is cutlery, dishes, dishes, glasses, glasses, tea and coffee supplies. For its brewing - a coffee machine. In front of the house there is a place for a bonfire with a grate, we also have a cauldron. The surrounding forests are filled to the brim with berries and mushrooms in the season.
If you want to stock up on local delicacies, you can get our favorite sausage (and other cold cuts) from Mr. Zbigniew Wolańczyk in traditional cold cuts in Narol on ul. Zielona 8. To drink delicious lemonade, go to Ruda Różaniecka to Cztere Stawów Kuchni Natura Relaks, coffee tastes exceptionally at Cafe Vero in Zamość (ul. Hrubieszowska 9). And on Fridays in Susiec (ul. Zielona) you can do your shopping at the market.
We recommend eating at the Dębowy Dwór restaurant in Ruda Różaniecka. There is also a swimming pool with pedal boats and a playground. If you are going to Tomaszów Lubelski, take a rest break in Z Pieca i Gara (ul. Lwowska 133a).
Welcome to Roztocze! You will wake up here in a comfortable bed with a view of the forest, rest in a hammock, read books, drink coffee on the pine steps or sit on a cool evening by the fire. Around us we have the forests of the Solska Forest and the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, i.e. even more fragrant forests, to this field to the horizon, meandering rivers and silence like sown with poppy seeds.
It is worth going kayaking on the Paary-Rebizanty section. You will see a beautiful landscape of fallen trees, beaver dams, forests, tobacco fields and meadows.
Cycling and hiking trails are also an interesting way to explore the area. One of the most famous sections of the Szumów trail is the route from the car park in Rebizanty along the river to the clearing next to the shop with the graceful name "Gargamel". During the walk, you can admire the main attraction of the region - rock thresholds on the Tanew River, forming picturesque cascades. From the sound of falling water, they call them "noises" or "shypots".
Roztocze has its own small (sometimes pre-war) vineyards, so it is worth trying local grapes.
In Roztocze there is a belt of Soviet fortifications (Line of Molotov Bunkers) - along the former demarcation line with the Third Reich. Most bunkers can be entered, but you need the right equipment and knowledge. To see some of them, we recommend a hike to the highest peak in the area: Wielki Dział.
Beer lovers will be interested in the building of the Brewery in Zwierzyniec founded by Stanisław Kostka Zamoyski at the beginning of the 19th century. At first, English porter-type beer was brewed in the buildings. Currently, Zwierzyniec beer is brewed in the brewery, which can be tasted in the bar located on the premises of the plant. In Zwierzyniec there is also an ideal place for swimming and walking - Stawy Echo, located among the forests. There is a wooden footbridge around them, and a sandy beach by the shore.
Right next to the Ukrainian border, in Radruż, there is the most beautiful church complex in Poland from 1583 (on the UNESCO list). There is a wooden church of St. st. Paraskeva. Bełżec, Tomaszów Lubelski, Krasnobród and Górecko Kościelne should also be on your list if you like to see wooden, historic buildings.
Even if you have never tried cross-country skiing, being in our area, you definitely should. Tomaszów Lubelski is the capital of cross-country skiing in the Lubelskie Voivodeship, and cross-country skiing is one of the most intuitive sports disciplines, so even the most resistant ones should be able to handle it.
