Tuczno is an idyllic town in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, surrounded by lakes and forests. At the heart of it all is our Passionate - a place created out of passion for the local forests and lakes, out of love for music and people. We both came to Tuczno about 20 years ago: Leszek came from Silesia for rehearsals of his band, I came from nearby Wałcz to run the family business. Here we found our place and ourselves. A few years earlier, my parents bought a former German school building from the early 20th century, nestled in a pine forest, a few minutes' walk through the park to the town center. In fact, it was obvious from the very beginning that this was the perfect place for Pasjonat. Why? Because when you look at it, you immediately know that you need to share it with people. That's why today we live upstairs, and we have made the ground floor available to our guests.
Music brought us together and we put this passion into the decor of our Passion House. Each room has its own musical patron, and there is also no shortage of musical souvenirs. We are visited by artistic souls because it is a place conducive to creative work; families with children, because we have a large, safe, fenced garden; kayakers, cyclists and mushroom pickers, because nature around us pampers us. Come to us - It's beautiful here!
There are 4 rooms (for 2 or 4 people) and 2 apartments for 4 people waiting for you. What distinguishes apartments from rooms is that they have their own kitchenette, a living room where 2 people can sleep on the sofa, and their own terraces.
The common space in Pasjonat is a dining room with a large table that encourages sitting down together. In addition, in summer - a whole large garden where you can hide away, with a fireplace and deckchairs. Our area is fenced, so it is safe for children.
When we organize concerts in a club in the basement, reservations are excluded, so you don't have to worry about the silence on site.
Residents of the rooms will prepare their meals in the shared kitchen, while residents of the apartments will prepare their meals in their own kitchenettes. There are plenty of mushrooms around in autumn, maybe you can include them in your menu?
For those who don't cook, we have good news: nearby there is only one, but fortunately a tasty, restaurant serving home-made food, Wrzosowy Zakątek. You can go there for lunch (the vegetarian option is very modest) or dessert, and in summer also for breakfast.
Tuczno is a small town with a population of 2,000, very colorful and beautifully situated. It has a post-German history, so you will find some nice monuments here. Its recent history is written in murals - and I also contributed to its creation, because the murals are created as part of the Etno Tuczno Festival, which I organize together with the Rural Women's Circle in the courtyard of Tuczno Castle. The festival is filled with inspiring workshops, local delicacies, music, wreaths and interesting meetings. This year the festival takes place in the summer of 2024.
In Tuczno you can also:
– take a trip along the trail of local murals (a map is available at the reception),
– go to one of the 3 local lakes every day,
– walk in the forests (in autumn, be sure to take a mushroom basket,
- ride a bicycle,
– watch bisons (there is one free-roaming herd in the area, they can be seen very rarely, there is also a bison enclosure 25 km away).
We are located in close proximity to the Drawa National Park, famous for its beautiful forests, lakes and peat bogs. Maybe you will sail through it on the Drawa River to be even closer to nature?
What’s there for children?
Families with children like us very much. It's safe, green, and there are plenty of adventures waiting around. A bit like a scout camp, but to a completely different standard. You can go to the lake, go on a trip to the forest, watch bisons, pet alpacas or go kayaking.
What’s there for employees?
We have good internet, although in order to send large files, one of our guest filmmakers had to go to a community center (this option is always available!). However, if you do not need the Internet for special tasks, you can easily work on-site. Our rooms and apartments have desks, possibly tables or sofas.
