If you are still convinced that the best olive oil comes from Greece, visit us and taste the one from us. I'm inviting you to Tuscany, the region famous not only for wine, art and Medicis, but also for its olive oil. Here, on the hills around Montalbano, an area famous for its cultivation of olive trees, you will find our family farm i Sorbi. As you walk or drive your way up the hill towards us, prepare for groves of thousands of olive trees and spectacular views of the protected Padule di Fucecchio valley.
And when you reach the top, enjoy the house that first became a member of our family. In line with the original Tuscan architecture we had rebuilt the ruins - there were just the outer walls and the roof at the beginning. The original plan was to live here, but in the end it became a weekend house. Gradually the property grew to include other houses, therefore we decided to open it up to guests. You can come here to have a lazy days, to swim in the pool, to taste Tuscan wine or to discover the art and culture. Or if you want you can take a cooking class, do a yoga retreat or even organize a small wedding in Tuscany. We'll leave the choice up to you, and in the meantime, we're all waiting for you. Ciao!

TUSCAN OLIVE OIL
We are olive growers and olive oil producers and our farm is surrounded by olive plantations. If you want to experience the olive harvest, come and join us in autumn and be part of the event. The olives are harvested without the aid of machinery ( manually) and after harvesting they are taken to the mill where they are used to produce extra virgin olive oil (Oliva Toscano IGP). If you want, you can also buy our olive oil directly from us ( well, be sure to ask if we have any stock left :)
Not far from us is the village of Larciano, where you can find everything you'll need. There is a supermarket, shops and even a bank. And here you can buy the mentioned olive oil or local wine from the nearby wineries.
If you are interested, we can organize a culinary workshop for you:
- classes for preparing fresh pasta and tiramissu
Or I can assist in organizing wine tastings in the area (I can suggest or even arrange).
If you want, we can organise the services of a private chef and/or breakfast.
Find your corner and take a break. There are several places to sit with a view of the surroundings or simply relax with a book in your hand, so choose yours. In the garden awaits a refreshing surprise and enticement all in one, namely our outdoor swimming pool. Drop by the pool for a morning yoga session (I can help organise a yoga class) or lounge on a sun bed with a refreshing limoncello in hand. And in the evening, try a barbecue.
Let yourself be tempted by the fun and experience of learning how to make (not only) pasta, take a walk through our olive groves or go to the Montalbano ridge where you can see Livorno and the sea.
Only 5 km away, all golf enthusiasts will find an 18-hole golf course and you can also try the thermal baths (Montecatini terme, 16 km) and the steam caves of Monsummano Terme (12 km).
A couple of places to explore in the area:
- Larciano (3 km)
- Pistoia (a little Florence with Piazza dell Duomo, Cappella del Tau, etc., underground city, 15 km)
- S. Miniato (21 km)
- Lucca 40 km (the old city walls, which you can cycle through and admire the historic core of the city; we also recommend a visit to the vintage market, which is regularly held here)
- Florence (52 km)
- Pisa (56 km)
- Versilia (68 km)
- Siena (90 km)
- Cinque Terre (141 km)
Can't decide or need advice on the best way to get there? Just ask us, we'll be happy to help.
What’s there for children?
Have you told them the story of Pinocchio? So it's time to do it and ideally it will be directly in the place where "he was born" - in Collodi (27 km). Or introduce them to the great Leonardo straight in his hometown of Vinci (10 km). And at the Montecatini Terme spa, you can take a ride in a newly restored 19th-century funicular.
