What was not happening here! The Walloons searched for minerals, the imperial officer Schwinhghammer cultivated flax, and when the painter Adolf Dressler began to transfer the surrounding landscapes to canvas, the town of Hain became more popular than Karpacz itself. Ski jumps were built and tram lines were run. When three plundered paintings by Matejko, including the famous Rejtan, were found in one of the cellars after World War II, Hain was renamed Matejkowice. Eventually, however, they took the name "Przesieka", becoming the summer seat of the Polish Writers' Union. Jan Nepomucen Miller used to walk here, George Bidwell drank tea, and today in Waterfall Podgórna the ice man Win Hoff teaches his method of breathing.

It was here, in Przesieka, that my lunar home was built over a century ago. For 6 years I was recovering everything I could from it to give it a second life. Now it consists of a living room with an open kitchen and dining area, three bedrooms, a large terrace from which you can hear the mountain stream, and even - oh, these luxuries! - with jacuzzi. In the neighborhood, you can go swimming in the third largest waterfall in the Karkonosze Mountains, go on a singletrack or walk along the scenic ridge from the Revival Pass.

It's like entering a honeycomb: you close the door and immediately feel at peace. I have a theory as to why that is...

In a house that's a hundred, maybe even a hundred and twenty. It was made to order for a certain German and - there are many indications - moonwood was most likely used for its construction, which has unique properties and excellent durability.

The house has three bedrooms with a total of three double beds and one single bed. There is also an additional place to sleep on the sofa bed in the living room. I consciously invite up to 6 guests to Moon House, due to the space that the house gives for everyone then - it will be more comfortable for you.

There is an open kitchen combined with a living room and dining area, a bathroom and a terrace where you can relax or eat a meal. Adjacent to the house is a large green space with a place for a bonfire and summer frolics, and in winter a hill for sledges under the house. Everything at your private, intimate disposal.

As it often happens with exclusive houses - cooking is on your side. On my side, however, is to give you the menu of a nearby restaurant where you can eat quite tasty. The deluxe option is dinner at the 5-star Seidorf Mountain Resort. You won't be disappointed - it's outstanding. In Karpacz, be sure to visit the bakery and pastry shop Mio Padre for real bread and excellent cakes.

In the further area, I recommend an Italian restaurant in Jelenia Góra "I love Italy", which is run by my friend. It's delicious and probably even more Italian than in Italy. It is worth visiting Jelenia on Saturdays for the Górskie Smaki farmer's market. There are stands of local farmers and a few craftsmen (e.g. making natural cosmetics or wooden boards).

I don't want to just rent you a house - but rather the whole experience of what the Giant Mountains have to offer. I know empty paths, interesting routes and beautiful places. I'll be happy to tell you more about them, now giving you a few things as - let's say - an appetizer of what awaits you.

The main attraction of Przesieka is the Podgórna Waterfall, which is the third largest waterfall in the Karkonosze Mountains, but the only one where you can swim. Sometimes you can hear many languages of the world with him, because this is where Wim Hof conducts his training in the proprietary method of extending breathing. Nearby there are also Japanese gardens "Little Japan" with plant species that the Japanese authorities had to agree to import (due to the protection of their culture).

For a pleasant walk, I recommend the route to the Revival shelter. From here you can continue along the ridge to Śnieżka or Wielki Szyszak. Or just eat a cake in the shelter and return to Przesieka - why not? You can also cross the border and find yourself in the Czech Republic. Here, look at the map for names such as the Pančava Waterfall and Údolí Bílého Labe, a path with a view of the Elbe Valley.

I am a runner and as a runner I am telling you: the Krkonoše paths are fantastic for running. Due to the unique air come here m.in. long distance runners. It is worth replacing your legs with wheels sometimes, because there are a lot of singletracks around us. And the wheels can be hooves - I have been riding horses for 20 years and I will be happy to help you organize a mountain rally.

And after those days full of impressions, you can watch a movie, play board games or just sit on the terrace, listening to two mountain streams flowing near the house.

For children? Garden and mountains, because what more do you need?
