Accommodation with a view of the castle - we know. Accommodation with a view of two castles? Yes, even such a luxurious location is in our slow portfolio. The magical area of Křivoklátsko is teeming with castles and chateaux! And also beautiful nature and mysterious legends.

Maringotka Za trnkou is located near Točník and Žebrák castles. It is not usual for two large and important castles to stand so close to each other, but they are separated by only half a kilometer. The beggar is the older one. It was founded in the second half of the 13th century by the family of Zajíc. Its builders could not agree on the name of the new castle, so they decided to name it after the first visitor. Unfortunately for them, he was a jerk begging for alms.

Its convenient location between Prague and Nuremberg was liked by both John of Luxembourg and especially Wenceslas IV, who lived his hunting passion here to the fullest. He had the originally small castle rebuilt into a luxurious residence, but it was destroyed by fire in 1396. And so Wenceslas IV. decided to build a new, better castle, but still close enough to his beloved Krivoklat woods. And so Točník grew up on the hill.

Wenceslas IV. he hid a large part of the state treasure in it. And part of it is said to have been hidden by the fox somewhere in the castle before his death, so that his brother Zikmund, the red fox, would not find it. He didn't find it. And dozens of other treasure hunters were not so lucky either. But of course you try it too. It is said that it may be in the Black Lake under the eastern walls of Točník. If you see a black fish here, do not catch it or eat it, because it is not just an ordinary fish, but the soul of one of the dead, imprisoned in the Žebrák castle.

But you don't have to look for treasures. You don't even have to go anywhere. You can do absolutely anything you want here in Maringotka Za trnkou. Because what happens in the undercastle stays in the undercastle…

So you can relax, because maringotka Za trnkou is accommodation in nature, nicely private and you can relax here to your heart's content. And thanks to gas heating, you don't have to limit yourself to summer only.

Tiny House Za trnkou is actually such a super stylish bedroom, torn out of a boring family house and nestled nicely among the trees. If you are looking for an example of the right feng shui, then it is definitely a bed overlooking a meadow, and a living room, bathroom and kitchen under the open sky.

Luxury comes in many forms. You won't find marble statues, gold doorknobs or a lifetime supply of Perrier water here. But here you will find your own piece of nature and thousands of stars that light up the sky at night just for you.

What do you have for breakfast? Normally we wouldn't dare to disturb you, but if you want, we will bring you a breakfast made from quality local ingredients. You can have tea and coffee without us, you have it ready in the maringotka.

We expect that you will catch food somewhere along the way. Not like Wenceslas IV. in the form of a horse-drawn carriage, but in local restaurants and pubs during your expeditions. But if you don't want to, no problem. You can improvise a little with an eshu, a kettle and an outdoor portable fire pit, or bet on the safe side and use our gas stove.

There is no electricity, there is no Wi-Fi. You can charge your phone for photography purposes from our power bank, but otherwise feel free to throw it away. Rather enjoy trips to the surrounding castles and chateaux. In addition to Točník and Žebrák, you can admire the castles of Hořovice and Lochovice and the castles of Křivoklát and Karlštejn. If you are mainly interested in natural beauties, the entire PLA Křivoklátsko and PLA Český Karst are fully at your disposal. And that includes the spooky route Přední Peklo - Zadní Peklo - Čertova skála. You can also ride a bike along the scenic routes.

In the summer, throw away your tops and cool off in the natural swimming pools in V Týčko or in the Peklo pond. You can relax in the Valley of Silence, which also has a beautiful educational trail. The route has 7 kilometers and 11 stops. Do not wear heels, sometimes it is necessary to jump a stream along the way. And take a snack with you, here there is really only nature and peace and not a single seller of hot dogs.

If you happen to be in a lazy mood in the morning, nothing happens. Sit down with a book on the couch in the open air, play a board game (we've prepared a few for you there) or pick up a pair of binoculars and look for new design trends in the construction of bird's nests or the scandalous construction of a flower of the highly endangered Starling.

Most of all, rest. Turn off your head and your phone and tell yourself how incredibly beautiful our Czech land is.
