When a car passes by once an hour, we say "what traffic today!". We also adhere to rather peculiar rules such as "Sunday without apple pie is no Sunday." And instead of a lady with an ermine, we have a lady with a proziak. Do you feel such vibes? Then we invite you further, we will not be standing in the doorway like this. Although here, even this threshold is quite pleasant, with a view of the Sanocko-Turczańskie Mountains, the Słonne Mountains and the Chwaniów range. Hats off and boots off your feet, if that tells you anything. And yet it is here that the Bieszczady Transofgarsk Road passes, the invisible Turnicki National Park stretches and the Hope fir grows, older than the independence of the United States.
Akacjowe Zacisze are two year-round cottages that are nestled near the forest, right next to our agritourism with rooms. We will feed the hungry with breakfast, dinner and even a Carpathian dinner with traditional delicacies from the Bieszczady cuisine. Cooking in private kitchenettes is also possible. And so we want to say something else at the end, something that will make you come to us, even if you have never heard of our mountains. Because here is really what to do, where to get lost and chase with the wind. Alone, no crowds.
However, nothing else comes to mind, but simply: come on, it's beautiful!
In Akacjowe Zacisze you will find two year-round cottages. Located close to the forest, they are the best option for 4 people or a family with children. Each has two bedrooms, a living room with a fireplace, a kitchenette and a bathroom.
We try to be a part of nature and repay it for the opportunity to live in such a beautiful place. We draw electricity from solar energy, we have installed a heat pump for heating, and we have taken care of a household sewage treatment plant. We kindly ask you to segregate your waste.
Akacjowe Zacisze is not only houses, but also an agritourism farm. In the main house there is a dining room where we serve breakfast and dinner, a living room with a children's play area and a library, as well as a yoga and meditation room. Let me say it again: we are in the middle of nowhere, so nice restaurants are far away. And that is why we encourage guests to enjoy our breakfasts and home-cooked dinners (meals are payable additionally). You don't have to worry about setting the whole day for meals - we feed at the hours that suit you. Our love is mainly Polish and Lemko cuisine.
On warm, longer weekends we organize Carpathian Dinners. You will try regional specialties such as fuczki, hreczanyki or tertianyky. We also prepare goulash in a cast-iron cauldron and meat and vegetable stews. On site we also have an Acacia Grill Hut with an oven for baking pizza, bread and proziaks. And at the turn of June and July, the housewives from Stańkowa organize Pierogi Festival. Needless to say, it's worth going there!
It is difficult to find restaurants, but if someone is in need, you can choose to eat in Sanok (30 km), a glider center (22 km) or at the ski station in Wańkowa (10 km).
Both houses, of course, have kitchenettes at your disposal, as well as brick grills for feasting together (we ask you to provide yourself with charcoal for grilling).
Do you want to have a forest all to yourself? Are you tired of holiday crowds? Well, we invite you to our Sanok-Turkish retreat in the foothills of the Bieszczady Mountains. Wander around the area aimlessly or set a bearing for local delights.
#delight 1 - Acacia Nests of Peace - terraces among trees (available from May 2025)
Discover a unique place suspended among the branches. It is here, wrapped in the rustle of leaves and the singing of birds, that you can immerse yourself in the peace of nature. Admire the stretching views of the surroundings and our garden, breathe in the fresh air and allow yourself a moment of respite high above the ground. The perfect place for morning coffee, a book or simply blissful relaxation among the greenery.
#delight 2 - glider on Bezmiechowa Góra
We have amazing views here, the opportunity to admire gliders (for now, however, there is no offer for tourist flights) and a path with forest beggars carved in trees. There is also a restaurant at the top, if you feel like eating apple pie with ice cream in the open air.
#delight 3 - Słonne Serpentiny
The longest serpentine roads in Poland stretch nearby. The route is used every year during car rallies, but you can also take a ride on it. At Załuż you will find a viewing terrace with a parking lot.
#delight 4 - Orthodox church in Ulucz
The church stands on a steep Dębnik hill and was built in 1659. It is therefore the third oldest Orthodox church in Poland. However, few people get to it, perhaps discouraged by the approach. Don't be discouraged, because the place is very picturesque and reminds you of the former inhabitants of this region.
#delight 5 - Sanok, Beksiński and the open-air museum
Sanok is famous for its charming market square, the magnificent Museum of Folk Architecture, the collection of icons and the world's largest collection of works by Zdzisław Beksiński. You may not know, but Beksiński was born in Sanok, and in the 19th century his family founded a blacksmith and bicycle workshop here, which gave rise to the Autosan company.
#delight 6 - view of the San from Sobień Castle
Today, only ruins remain of Sobień Castle, but the view of the San is as delightful as it was. Below the Castle there is a car park, a small bar and a Molotov Line bunker hidden in the bushes.
#delight 7 - the invisible Turnicki National Park
Turnicki National Park is a park without official borders for now. Naturalists and activists have been fighting for its establishment for years, because it would protect some of the last wild fragments of the Carpathian Forest. Before your planned arrival, check if you can't catch an event - they have already organized attractions such as an evening with the magic of the Carpathians, bike rides, walks along the Orthodox church trail and celebrating Kupala Night.
#delight 8 - non-existent villages
Search under the name: areas of the former villages of Jamna Górna/Dolna.
#delight 9 - observation tower on Holica
This is where you can admire the breathtaking ranges of the Sanocko-Turczańskie Mountains and the Bieszczady Mountains.
#delight 10 - sauna and tub
And this is already here, on site, in the garden :)
What’s there for children?
Akacjowe Zacisze is over 3 hectares of garden with picturesque corners, hundreds of trees and shrubs and a stream, which is a real attraction for kids. For the youngest guests, we have a small slide, sandpits and football goals. Children can spend a lot of time outdoors, taking advantage of the huge space of our garden.
And when there is rain outside the window, we invite you to our house, where books and board games are waiting.
Together with willing children, we will prepare regional proziaki baked on a baking sheet.
What’s there for employees?
For working people, we offer a common space in the living room in the main house, but in our wilderness it is different with an internet connection, so it's best to secure your own.
