He rode into the Ritz hotel in Białystok on horseback to treat himself with one glass of champagne and... the horse with the other. He organized the first cycling rally in the city and became one of the first presidents of Jagiellonia Białystok. Mikołaj Kawelin was a tsarist colonel and is said to have saved Piłsudski's life. He certainly brought wood from his sawmill to sports facilities, built a fire station for firefighters, and built a People's House for the residents of Kamionka, to which we invite you today. Before it became a real home, it was renamed a school during the Millennium Action. And when we came up with an idea that would make our friends shake their heads, he greeted us with a scenery straight out of a B-grade horror movie. Broken windows, chipped walls, gutted interiors and not always censored inscriptions. A real "Pink Pussy Brothel", as one of them said. Well... We decided to renovate this old shack.
Today, the building has a wooden facade and brown shutters and stands on 12,982 m² of land. There is also a garden area, a shelter with a wall of stoves and a smokehouse, as well as a sauna and a hot tub. The house accommodates old and forgotten things, there is grandma's kilim, furniture from the old days and a red plaque from the school walls. There is a terrace overlooking the trees, there are cows behind the fence, and right next to it there is the Błudowska Forest. We turned four school classrooms on the ground floor and a teachers' room and apartments for teachers on the first floor into a space for us and an apartment for you.
It's simple and friendly here, after all, Podlasie obliges. A terrible hole, but so beautiful.
