The beginning of our Guest Book dates back to '95 and there are such wonders in it that you might be surprised. Some even painted with watercolors. In the 1990s, few people had heard of agritourism, but my parents did. In a hundred-year-old barn in our habitat, they opened rooms for guests who liked it so much that they came back year after year. To this day, we are visited by people who used to come here as children, and now they want to show this place to their children. Take them on a canoeing trip down the Łyna River, make a bonfire in the evening, go on a bicycle trip through the forest. And forests, you must know, are plentiful here. In fact, to get anywhere, you have to drive 5 km through the forest.
Slowhop is full of stories about people who left the city for the countryside. And with us it's the other way around. After many years of farming, my parents left for the city, but everything stayed in the family. We refreshed the rooms in the old barn, so that the standards would meet not only summer guests from the 90s, and today, full of new energy, we invite you to relax in a slow style. We have 4 cozy rooms for you and a lot of grass, water and forest around. We ourselves live in what we call a badger house next door. It did not come out of nowhere, because for years one nice badger was a permanent resident of our habitat. If you are looking for a place in Masuria, where peace and quiet once brought even turtles from the mud reserve, this is the address.
We will host you in one of the 5 rooms of the historic barn in our agritourism farm. The rooms are for 2-4 people and, apart from Leśny and Dziupla, on the ground floor, they have their own balconies. Each has a kitchenette and a place to eat a meal: a table or an island with stools in the kitchen. There are bathrooms with showers, and depending on the room, there are single or double beds in different numbers (details can be found in each room).
The habitat is surrounded by a large, picturesque area, all of which will be at your disposal. You can relax here in dozens of ways: surrounded by nature, on a swing, on a deckchair, by the pond. Part of our 1-hectare plot is fenced, but right behind the fence there is still our land and even there you will find a corner with hammocks.
We do not serve meals. In each of the apartments there is a kitchenette, where you have the opportunity to prepare them yourself. You can buy fresh honey from us, eggs from your neighbors in the village, fresh bread from the local bakery in Jabłonka.
The Port Jabłonka restaurant is open only in the summer season and is based on local products. You will eat there fresh fish, e.g. tench in cream, but also e.g. scrambled eggs with chanterelles.
In addition, there is a year-round pantry next to the restaurant, where we send you for local cold cuts and
cheese or bread from local suppliers.
You can also eat good fish in the fish and chip shop in Pluski and Swaderki.
To taste real Warmian cuisine, go to the Warmian Inn in Butryny 20 min. hence. In this place, they will serve you aromatic karmuszka, fresh fruit or dzyndzałki.
Likusy and the surrounding area are an ideal place for long walks in the forest, Nordic walking, autumn mushroom picking or bicycle trips. The routes are really impressive, even if you are planning a 100-kilometer trip.
About an 8-minute walk away there is Lake Karzełek (with healing mud water) with a pier and a gentle descent into the water. For fishing enthusiasts, we recommend the wilder Brzezinko lake. For those who just want to become enthusiasts, we will find a fishing rod. You can buy permits at www.szwaderki.pl.
In the evenings you can light a bonfire, grill freshly caught fish, sit together in the gazebo or under the stars. During the day - read books in a hammock, soak your feet in the pond or do yoga on the grass.
Let us know and we will help you organize a kayaking trip on the Marózka or Łyna rivers. The Łyna River Sources Reserve is a beautiful place that few people have heard about, so it is worth going for a walk around it, and it is also a very good destination for a bicycle trip.
There are two good horse farms in our area, Napiwoda and Kanthaka, so if you feel freedom in the saddle, you will have many opportunities to spend time with your hair flying: you can make an appointment for an individual ride or a field trip, but also for relaxing hippotherapy.
We are located right next to the historic Land of 7 Curiosities - you can go on a trip along the trail of the villages that make up the land: Wikno, Jabłonka, Natać Duża and Natać Mała, located in the Ramucko-Napiwodzka Forest; let yourself be carried away by the regional folklore and choose an educational walk along the trail of old Masurian competitions (the walk "The Trail of Old Masuria" is organized by the Society for the Development of the Omulewa Area).
The Pottery Village is a thematic village operating in the village of Kamionka - here you can eat local delicacies, learn about disappearing professions, old traditions and customs, discover several thousand plants in the Paradise Garden, walk through over 30 thematic corners and take part in workshops, e.g. making clay on the table, turning clay on a potter's wheel, painting on glass, decorating Easter eggs or baubles or playing outdoor games.
For lovers of old architecture, we recommend visiting the castle in Nidzica and the beautiful open-air museum in Olsztynek.
A Saturday trip to Olsztynek can be combined with a very interesting demonstration of hand-forming glass at the Artistic Glassworks.
If you are interested in the war history of the region, you will certainly be interested in bunkers, anti-tank ditches and shooting positions hidden in the surrounding forests. Our village is famous for its war history and even my parents managed to find a hidden grenade in the barn during renovation.
What’s there for children?
On the large, fenced area, the kids can have fun freely. We have a lot of toys, a playground, paddles and a soccer goal. There is a pond on the plot, where older children sometimes try their hand at fishing, but the younger ones are worth keeping an eye on in its vicinity.
What’s there for employees?
Our internet works as it wants, so we do not invite you to work. It is a place where you can, above all, relax.
