Hello! Here is an invitation to... a summer camp for adults or adults with children, because you can even come to us as a family. It will take place in the unique, colorful Andalusia. In the extraordinary atmosphere of the Rec.On Project Spain artistic residence. For 5 years, we have been creating a place here that attracts open, creative and curious people who want to taste the locality of our corner of Spain.

Here, you can enjoy Spanish culture, relax and discover fascinating Andalusia. Relax on the beach, visit the white pueblos or have a siesta on the premises of our residence. Every day we will serve you delicious local breakfasts and give you the addresses of the best restaurants and tapas bars in the area. And during the moments spent at the table, you will meet our friends who create a community organized around this place. We invite you to the Andalusian vacation of a lifetime!

Accommodation is available in single rooms for couples or entire apartments for families, giving you the freedom to choose.

In the 150-year-old buildings, you will find spaces for relaxation, surrounded by a permaculture garden with organic vegetables and herbs. During your stay, you will be happy to take advantage of artistic installations prepared especially for guests, such as a summer kitchen, a tree house, a summer shower, sanitary facilities, areas with hammocks, places for meditation, chillout, and even an eco-bottle with spring water instead of a traditional pool. All this makes for an unforgettable experience, where art and nature coexist in perfect harmony.

In addition, you will have the opportunity to visit the historic surrounding towns (12 km from the apartment), which delight with the local, Andalusian atmosphere. You can see a Renaissance castle, immerse yourself in prehistoric cave paintings, and participate in local fiestas de verano.

Upon request, we will serve you delicious, aromatic meals based on products from our own eco-garden.
In the surrounding white pueblos (towns), we will recommend tapas bars or restaurants serving Spanish cuisine.

We invite you to discover the Region of LOS VELEZ in the province of Almeria, in the charming Andalusia. This extraordinary place captivates with its authentic charm and picturesque landscape. This region is distinguished by its impressive mountain range, diverse natural parks, prehistoric cave paintings and beautifully preserved white towns. It is also a historical route to Granada, once a Roman and Arab route. Today, traces of this heritage are visible in the ruins of the castle and the traditional houses that make up the white towns.

Andalusia is famous for its 300 days of sunshine a year! The Comarca of Los Velez, as this region is called, is one of the most sparsely populated places in Europe, with only 4 people per square kilometre. The terrain is mountainous, with the highest point in Sierra Maria reaching 2,050 metres above sea level, a lack of industry and a semi-arid climate.

From the LOS VELEZ Region, the most important places can be easily reached: Alicante Airport - about 1 hour 50 minutes, Malaga Airport - about 3 hours 30 minutes, beaches/coast - only 50 minutes, Sierra Nevada (skiing) - about 2 hours 30 minutes, Granada - about 1 hour 40 minutes.

What awaits you during your trip, if you want:
• Stay in an apartment - a single or double room with breakfast (possibility of ordering meals on site) or an entire apartment for family or friends.
• Suggestion of visiting local Andalusian towns in the LOS Velez Region (pueblos: Velez Rubio, Velez Blanco, Maria). (Best to get there by car - about 12 km from the apartment).
• Visit a local street market in one of the towns in the area.
• Visit to the municipal swimming pool in Velez Rubio (located at the foot of the mountains with a good bar)
• Discover the best local tapas bars in the Los Velez region: Velez Rubio, Velez Blanco, Maria.
• Slow chill at REC.ON - hammocks, tree house.
• Afternoons and evenings at the project:
table tennis, Viking chess, boules/patanca or visit to the towns - during local events and festivals.

Our residence has work-friendly spaces and workshop areas. If you need to take care of some business during your stay, there will be a space for it :)
