Calcographus noster Cracoviensis, or royal official printer. This title was granted to Hieronim Wietor in 1527 by Sigismund the Old. This distinguished Renaissance typographer was born in Lubomierz, whose roofs you can see from the windows of our old house in neighboring Mielęcice. The printer imported the latest fonts from Italy - cut antiqua and Renaissance italic. He introduced decorative italic to the press, modeled on Italian chancellery. And he was the first to use fraktura for typesetting in Polish. And we, in awe of the esteemed Lubomierz resident, in whose office the first work on the history of Poland was printed, called our house Wietorówka, and the apartment and four rooms in it: Antiqua, Fraktura, Rotunda, Italika and Tekstura.

Their interiors are clean in form and have few distractions. They were created to bring adults peace of mind, space to focus and hear their own thoughts. On the ground floor there is an apartment for dog owners, on the first floor - four rooms and a common area with an old stove painted white (they can be rented separately or in a package). There is also a common barn for chilling or working, hammocks among the trees, a slightly wild meadow and a table in an old orchard. We have a lot of donated tables here. At each one you can gather, celebrate, have workshops and enjoy the closeness of nature. Among the greenery and elderberry bushes we are fulfilling one of our dreams, because we decided that it is not worth waiting for retirement. You do not wait either, drop by Wietorówka.

In an old settlement, we have created an intimate guesthouse for adults. The historic building stands on a hill, surrounded by a lush garden and an old orchard. It offers guests views of charming Lubomierz. We have prepared one apartment with a separate entrance on the ground floor and four rooms and a common area on the first floor.

ITALIKA is located on the ground floor and has a stone terrace and a fenced garden – all dogs are welcome here. The apartment consists of a living room with a seating area connected to the kitchen, a bathroom with a shower, and a separate bedroom with a double bed. The terrace offers a beautiful view of the Benedictine monastery.

FRAKTURA is located on the first floor. It consists of: a hallway with a wardrobe, a bedroom with a double bed and a work area, and a bathroom with a large shower.

ANTYKWA is also located on the first floor. It consists of: a bedroom with a double bed and a work area, and a bathroom with a large shower.

ROTUNDA is a room on the first floor. It consists of a bedroom with a double bed, a seating area, and a bathroom with a shower. From the Rotunda's windows, you'll see our old orchard.

TEXTURE is our newest room, located at the end of the hallway. The spacious bedroom with a large bed is separated from the seating area by a half-timbered wall. Guests also have access to a large, bright bathroom with two windows and a comfortable shower. The room is located on the first floor.

All rooms have comfortable beds that can be converted into two single beds.

At your request, we can combine four of the rooms on the first floor into a separate apartment, the FONT LIBRARY, for eight people, and rent it exclusively.

Each room is dedicated to two adults and decorated in a different style. The décor is created by carefully selected furniture, accessories, books, albums, and paintings by our friends, including local artist Marianna Sztyma. Upstairs, there's a large and spacious common area – it consists of a living room with a kitchenette, a games and books corner, a balcony overlooking the orchard, a large table, and a fireplace.

Be warned that Milęcice is a vibrant village – cows graze here, tractors drive through the fields, harvests are underway, bees buzz, and cicadas play their concerts. This has its own unique charm, but also comes with its own distinctive sounds and aromas.

We hope that our home will appeal to those captivated by the Lower Silesian landscape and who want to explore it better. You'll also find a place to relax, work quietly, or pursue your own plans.

We'll be happy to prepare breakfast for you – 50 PLN per person. We serve both classic and vegetarian options, with no special dietary requirements.

In the Italika apartment, you'll have exclusive use of the kitchen on the ground floor. Upstairs, next to the rooms, there's a kitchenette in the communal area. We encourage you to enjoy your meals at the table in the orchard, just like in Tuscany.

There's also a bonfire area – you can roast something over the fire or cook in a cauldron.

If you're planning to visit with a larger group, ask about organizing meals.

You can buy fresh bread and other products at the nearby shop, which is a short walk or bike ride away. You can also ask us on site; we'll be happy to answer any questions.

It is true that we are far from the hustle and bustle, among forests, fields, meadows and hills of the Jizera Foothills. It is also true that this is a land full of picturesque spots, monuments, views that make you hold your breath, home chapels, charming villages dating back to the Middle Ages, palaces, castles and mountains almost within reach of your feet. Such an accumulation of attractions means that it can be difficult to get bored, which is why we have made sure that our house and its surroundings are conducive to sweet idleness. You can fill your days with it or practice it after returning from our charming areas.

A few days is definitely too short to hike in the mountains, ride bikes, ski, kayak... get to know the wild corners of the Jizera Foothills and its beautiful architecture. So drop in for a longer stay because it is worth...

... going wherever your feet take you. The full charm of Lubomierz will be a 5-minute walk away. In the town, it is worth seeing: the market square with arcades, the town hall, the historic bridge, baroque sculptures and the church towering over the town. There is also the Kargul and Pawlak museum in a beautiful Renaissance tenement house, several shops. In August, the National Comedy Film Festival takes place here. Be sure to visit the Benedictine monastery, which can be seen from our house. This has been the real heart of Lubomierz since the Middle Ages, surrounded by the Benedictine park - perfect for a picnic or a walk. Did we mention that Lubomierz was once called the Valley of Love?

... it is worth taking the blue hiking trail right next to Wietorówka. Behind the village, it heads towards Lwówek Śląski (to the north) and leads along the slopes of Kamiennik and Kołodziej, from where there is a wonderful view of the valley, Lubomierz, Milęcice, the panorama of the Karkonosze and the Jizera Mountains. This part of the trail is wild and very rarely visited, you are more likely to meet a deer on the way than another hiker. If you dare to climb the borders and are not afraid of narrow paths, you can reach the mysterious palace and ruins of the manor in Nagórze.

… go a little further on the trails in the Jizera Mountains, Karkonosze, Kaczawskie Mountains… or hike the wild paths of the Jizera and Kaczawskie Foothills, the Land of Extinct Volcanoes or the Bóbr Valley.

… take your bikes with you or rent them on site. Ride the route along the Kwisa to Lake Leśniańskie and then to Czocha Castle. Set off for singletrack to Świeradów-Zdrój and to the Czech side to Nowe Miasto pod Smrekiem (marked trails are located on the border, around the Smrek mountain massif, with a predominance of paths on the Czech side). You can also go to Jakuszyce and cycle along winter cross-country trails. 

… strap on your skis. The nearest ski resort is Ski&Sun in Świeradów Zdrój (21 km from Wietorówka), Ski Arena Szrenica (22 km from Wietorówka), Jakuszyce – about 100 km of cross-country ski trails (23 km from Wietorówka).

… it is also worth getting in the car and taking the road through the Bóbr Valley Landscape Park (about 30 minutes) to Siedlęcin. Here you can see the largest medieval residential tower in Poland. You can see the only preserved paintings in the world depicting the legend of Sir Lancelot of the Lake. And on Saturdays, a local produce market is held under the tower. 

… visit one of the vineyards, which produce delicious wine. We recommend visiting Jerzmanice, Sokołowiec (Agat vineyard) and Uniejowice (Kindler vineyard).

… visit the Lenno Palace to feel like you are in Tuscany, try a lemon tart and drink coffee. And just above it is the oldest brick castle in Silesia – Wleń Castle. 

… note an interesting fact... There are no more Nepomucens in Poland than in Lower Silesia. You will see a few of them in Lubomierz itself. More information can be found on the website: nepomuki.pl. 

… it is also worth spending a few days in Wietorówka. We have a barn with an outdoor cinema in it. You can work together here, have a meal, but above all, take a breath. Read a book in a hammock, paint a picture or take an afternoon nap. You can hide here when it rains or when the sky is hot, find your nook and do whatever you want. At the open gates you can enjoy the view of meadows and hills stretching all the way to Lwówek Śląski. Behind the barn there is a grove and hammocks among the trees. This is the best place to admire the sunset. We also have a meadow and an old orchard with apples, plums and pears, and there is also a place for a bonfire.

Generally, there is no boredom and in addition, you will live under one roof with a Sudety Guide... Przemek will be happy to advise you in which direction, what and when... at your request, he will also prepare an individual trip on which he will be happy to take you.

Wietorówka invites adults who want to spend some time without children.

If you come to work with us, choosing a place will probably be your biggest challenge. Each room has a desk, upstairs – a large communal table, and in the garden you'll find several quiet spots where you can set up your laptop, a book, or just sit with a coffee.

There's also our barn – a seasonal space for work, meetings, and spending time together. In spring and summer, you can work here, practice yoga, have dinner together, play board games, and sometimes in the evenings we host a cinema. The barn also features a separate, intimate space with a collection of plates painted especially for us by Marianna Szyma. The barn itself also hosts cultural events – meetings with authors and artists, concerts, and exhibitions.

We also have a garden and an old orchard filled with trees, tables, and armchairs. Here, you can laze around, read, or work.

A 15-minute walk from Wietorówka, you'll find Widokówka – a hilltop retreat with views of Lubomierz, the Karkonosze Mountains, and the Jizera Mountains.

Important: We have fiber optic cable throughout the house, and Wi-Fi works in all rooms and common areas. However, there's no Wi-Fi coverage in the barn.
