Our forest street has always existed on the map, but it did not always have a name. There was no need for this. In the world outside the map, nothing happened on it. It's different for Bolek and Lolek, Mickey Mouse or Donald Duck. All the local Cypiski, Rumcajs and Winnie the Pooh are the work of Marcin's dad, who in the 70s and 80s was on the board of the Wilga summer resort. It stretches to the right of the Vistula, and below the river called the yellow bird, winding like a ribbon - so you can be sure that we are not greenhorns when it comes to the local forests. We know them like the back of our hand. We know where the best bicycle paths and running routes lead, where the most beautiful wild meadow is and what to eat for lunch in the iconic Dinoziółek bar. When we decided to open Klimaty, we had to name the street where they are located. We decided to stay true to the family tradition and named her Gandalf. Instead of going through the mountains and valleys of Middle-earth, however, we offer you a 1-hour journey from Warsaw to a plot of land located in a pine forest, where magical peace reigns.
Leśne Klimaty is a semi-detached house located on a spacious plot (0.5 hectares) in a pine forest. It is located in a quiet, forest estate Wilga near Wisła, 60 km from Warsaw - just right for a quick reset from the capital.
Each of the identical, twin parts of the house has:
· on the ground floor
- a spacious living room connected to the dining room and kitchen,
- a double bedroom with a double bed 140 or 160 cm by 200 cm
- a smaller bathroom with a shower,
· on the first floor
- 2 bedrooms with single hotel beds, which can also be put together into a double bed,
- a larger bathroom with a shower.
From the living room on the ground floor you can go out to a spacious terrace (20 m²), where you will find garden furniture, a table and a barbecue, and from the bedroom on the first floor - to the balcony. On it you can enjoy your morning coffee in the treetops.
Different guests can relax here at the same time, but there is enough space around to easily experience privacy. The external terraces do not connect, and we have additionally fenced them off with a fence. There is a passage between the halves of the house, inside (closed and fenced off with double doors, ensuring privacy when two different groups relax here). If you want to rent both houses, e.g. for 2 families for an intimate reunion, then you can connect them.
The tub opposite the terraces is intended for guests of both houses, so it is possible that you will have to share it. Please send us a message on WhatsApp so that we can agree on the hours of use. A 1.5-hour session is charged at PLN 150.
Information for pet owners: the plot is fenced, but there are a few places where a small dog could sneak under the fence. We recommend that you have your pets under your care, especially since someone next door may also be relaxing with their pet. We accept guests with small and medium-sized pets. The maximum number is 2 pets per reservation. For guests with pets, we prepare a bedroom on the ground floor, because pets are only allowed downstairs.
Each Klimaty has a fully equipped kitchen. In addition to dishes and pots, you can find a coffee maker, a coffee machine, an oven, a dishwasher... and a washing machine.
On the terrace there is a large gas grill and next to it there is a wooden table at which 6 people can comfortably sit. Inside, in the living room, there is also a large table, so you can comfortably eat meals together in any weather.
Next door, there is a restaurant called U Aniołów, where you can eat tasty home-made meals, e.g. dumplings. There is also a grocery store next to the restaurant, where you will find a wide selection of baked goods made on-site, smoked fish, home-made meats, craft beer as well as ready-made meals, e.g. homemade soups in jars. So if you don't feel like cooking, just call for meals from outside the fence.
That's right, from behind the fence. The restaurant is really next door, about 100 m from us. We fenced part of the plot closer to it with a higher fence to increase the sense of privacy. However, we can assure you that it is a quiet place and no guests have complained about noises from behind the fence. In the summer, the Angels closes around 10 p.m., in the off-season at 8-9 p.m.
There is still a cult bar called Dinoziółek in the area. It is famous for its plate-sized pork chops, and we especially recommend the delicious Hungarian pie.
If you want home-made dairy products: milk, rennet cheese, butter or yogurt, we have the right solution. In the summer season, on Saturdays, Mrs. Agnieszka from "Sery Zagrodowe" sells her products from her car opposite the Angels. They are also available all year round in the U Aniołów store.
We wholeheartedly recommend bread from the Baranowski family's bakery in Wilga, ul. Wiślana.
Attention! The bakery shop is open only on Fridays from 15.30–21.00, sometimes on Thursday evenings. Our favorite breads are long sticks with poppy seeds and tin bread with a crispy crust.
In the forest, boredom takes on a certain nobility, especially surrounded by 150-year-old pines. According to Finnish scientists, we should devote at least 5 hours a month to contact with nature to maintain health and well-being. Here you have a chance to get half a year's dose in one weekend! Reset to factory settings while walking, riding a bike, or just swinging in a hammock and looking at the trees.
It may be even more pleasant for you to commune with nature from the "bubbles" position. The Finnish hot tub surrounded by trees waiting for guests of both of our houses will provide you with moments of blissful relaxation.
If you like it, take two wheels with you. We think the local trails are great to ride. Those in the forest have very good ground, and the asphalt ones are less frequented.
The same applies to running routes. We run great. This is our favorite sport, so we will be happy to share with you the routes we like - and we know different ones, 5 or 10 km. In our area, when you start running, after about 1 km the plots end and the State Forests begin, so you can believe that it is really peaceful here.
If you prefer to go slower, we recommend simply walking. You can go to the Wilga River or to the Vistula sandbanks. It's very nice to have a picnic on them. You just can't count on swimming in the winding Vistula River. It is also worth taking a walk to the Żabiecko meadows - it is a huge, empty space with beautiful views, especially in summer.
There are many orchards in the area. In late summer and autumn, the branches are heavy with apples and you can often catch some while riding a bike. In addition, in summer, there are blueberries and blueberries waiting for the attentive around the house, and in autumn, mushrooms - also on our plot. First come first served!
We have a local swimming area here, Morskie Oko. It is located about 4 km from us - walking through the forest will probably be a little shorter. In winter, it is the favorite place of the local walruses, so if you like similar experiences, you can reach out and freeze together.
History and military enthusiasts may be interested in the fact that in the area, including on our plot, there are remains of trenches from World War II. There was a crossing of the Vistula River nearby and the army was stationed here. We decided to leave the remains of the dugouts in our area. Today, someone else is hiding there: rodents dig holes and birds dig nests.
On the way to Morskie Oko, there is a monument to a sapper and a small military open-air museum, the so-called cannons.
One more important information: we do not light bonfires here in summer. It's a dense forest and it could get dangerous in the dry months. We are not against bonfires, we will be happy to organize them for you in a special metal bowl, but the time is from late autumn to early spring.
Wilga is a summer resort near two rivers, but it has a very, very quiet character. The forest is so dense and the houses and cottages are scattered at such distances that you can count on complete peace here.
There are also forest attractions for children in Leśne Klimaty. We do not have and do not plan to build a traditional playground, because we think that the pristine climate of our plot is its great advantage. We have a ladder hanging on a tree, a forest sandbox, a rope for walking between trees (slackline), hammocks or stumps for creative play. Here you can run around with your hair flying, play hide and seek behind the trees, and no one is outraged by dirty feet.
Both houses are equipped with bathtubs, foldable beds and children's chairs.
The house is very spacious and the area is quiet. An additional advantage is the fact that we have installed fiber-optic Internet, 5G, 150Mb/s, without limits. The espresso machine and coffee maker are ready in the morning!
