I once had a PhD student from Edinburgh come to visit me and conduct research on mosses, lichens and ferns. She said that the microclimate created by mosses on my plot has beneficial properties for sleep. And in fact, I have been observing this for years. My guests turn off the lights at early hours and wake up extremely rested. Stankowice 100, the address where you will find yourself, is magical. On one side, the garden is fenced by a stream where kids spend all day wading in wellies and feeding geese. 100 m from here there is a charming church from the 13th century, and only one kilometer - the beautiful Leśniańskie Lake. Towering over it is the Czocha Castle, whose owners worked for centuries for the inhabitants of Stankowice, to which I invite you. Today, the settlement has a sleepy atmosphere, but the spirit of history still lingers here. So keep your heads and eyes open, but above all, come to Stankowice to have fun. As befits Lazy people.
Although it looks historic, our guest house with the appearance of a country barn is actually a new building. We live next door, in a house from 1864. Our 20-are plot is fenced, so both children and animals will be safe here.
There are 3 independent apartments (for 3 or 4 people) waiting for you in the guest house. They have kitchenettes, bathrooms and terraces (on the ground or first floor). Details about the apartments can be found next to each of them.
You can also rent the entire Lazy House, perfect for a family or friends stay. We can accommodate a total of 11 people (4+4+3) in 3 apartments. The 2 apartments upstairs can be combined into 1 large apartment. They remain closed and separated on a daily basis.
There is a bicycle storage room in the house.
Stankowice is a picturesquely situated settlement 2 km from Czocha Castle. It is located near the forest and lakes: Leśniańskie and Złotnicki.
If you want, you can order tasty breakfasts, which I will deliver to you in a basket to your apartment. I mainly use local products: honey, eggs, milk, meats. I make my own jam, and occasionally I also have delicious goat cheese from a friend's farm.
During the season, the garden is full of tasty fruits, which I encourage you to enjoy.
Recently, a beautiful old Beer House was restored in Stankowice, where you can taste regional brews.
Although we encourage laziness, we do not encourage boredom. We have something to do all year round. There are beautiful hiking and cycling trails as well as numerous ski lifts and ski slopes.
Let's start with the location of Leniuchów, which is intriguing in itself and encourages exploration by history and culture enthusiasts, but also nature lovers. Stankowice, the former German Rengersdorf, is an old settlement whose inhabitants worked for the owners of Czocha Castle for several centuries. Today, only the meeting house is operational, where the best potupaikas in the area are organized every year.
In the area:
– there is a large forest full of animals and mushrooms,
– there are two lakes created at the beginning of the last century: Lubańskie and Złotnickie (swimming and kayaking),
– you can walk, run, ride a bike,
– in winter, you go cross-country skiing to Jakuszyce, downhill skiing or snowboarding (the gondola is open from morning to 11 p.m.),
– you walk through the forest in snowshoes, fish in an ice hole, and go winter swimming.
