From the dream of a slow life, a house near the lake was created. And then fast reality set in and it turned out that in Kamionki I am absent more often than I am. It is a pity that no one would use this silence, proximity to the lake, walks in the woods and evening terracing. Maybe you will be on your way to Kamionki Małe by Lake Kamionkowskie, to a small, cozy house. I am happy to share these pleasures with you. Come in fours with friends, girlfriends or as a couple. And with animals, because they feel great in Kamionki. I have two bedrooms upstairs for you, a workspace with a desk, a bright living room with a fireplace, a dining room, a kitchen, a bathroom and a large terrace. It is 200 meters to the lake, 500 meters to the beach with bicycles and kayaks. Besides, walks, bicycles, urbexy, horses and even SPA. For adventure seekers and clothes hunters, I also have a few rags-to-riches addresses.
Attention! The stairs in the cottage are steep, not suitable for small children.
In a house for 4 people, located in a great area. It is quiet, behind the fields and forest, a few steps from the lake. I love coming here with friends. I hope you will be happy here too.
The house has:
- living room - there is a comfortable sofa, fireplace, chest of drawers with board games and books, smart TV,
- kitchenette with dining room (in the same living space),
- bathroom with shower (there is always soap, toilet paper, shampoo),
- bedrooms on the first floor - with a double bed and two single beds,
- work space with a desk on the mezzanine.
We have quite a large fenced plot (perfect for dogs), a large terrace with a table, chairs and a barbecue, so it's nice to relax outside. Unfortunately, I'm not there every day, so there's no one to water the garden or take care of it, so the grass probably won't look like it does on a golf course.
Please also feel free to rummage through the wardrobes, in the mirrored one at the entrance you will find a hammock and above the fridge, for example, a casserole maker.
In the kitchen there are my teas, spices, oils, everything you need for baking and cooking, feel at home.
You can finally get bored here! You can walk through the forest and fields, admire holiday relics from the times of the Polish People's Republic and choose which beach you prefer - the municipal one with a large pier, equipment rental and a lot of people (it is crowded only on holiday weekends) or the wild and empty one.
You have a 200-meter walk to Kamionkowskie Lake and the closest one is a wild beach, and 500 meters from the house there is a large guarded beach with lifeguards and a pier. There is also a kayak and pedal boat rental. The water in Lake Kamionkowskie is very clean. A wonderful place. But! If you want the beach to be empty, choose a weekday in summer. There are a lot of people at the lake on the weekend (like everywhere by the water when it's hot). Then a pro-tip: sail away from the crowds on a pedal boat or enter the lake from the forest side.
There are, of course, also wild beaches - in undeveloped places near the lake there are small piers usually used by anglers.
Out of season, Kamionki is very empty, so lonely walks are more than certain. You can go for a walk, run or bike ride, e.g. to the forest, which can be seen from the windows of the house. When mushrooms are in season, there are plenty of them there. This forest is not very dense, so you probably won't find wild boars or elks, but deer. During a forest bike ride, you may come across, for example, sunflower fields or an aggregate mine, which is impressive. Fans of road cycling will be happy to know that there is a great bicycle route through Kamionki.
For those who want to go back to their childhood, on the large beach there is a games and air hockey zone, as well as bars and ice cream. Quieter (10 minutes by car), there is also a tennis court and a SPA in the Pałac Romantyczny hotel from the 19th century, where Fryderyk Chopin once stayed.
A 20-minute drive from the house there is a stud farm - Dzika Orchidea or Krobia Farm.
When the weather does not allow sunbathing or walking, you can visit:
- Toruń (30 minutes away) - historic old town, restaurants, museums, galleries, cinemas, theater and of course gingerbread. Recommended pubs? Monka's, Patio, Pueblo, Louisiana Manor. Artus. They serve great coffee at NPAR.
- Ciechocinek - to feel the sanatorium atmosphere. To this day, there are places where time has stopped.
- Golub-Dobrzyń - it's in the opposite direction from Ciechocinek. A town with a Teutonic castle and a few second-hand shops (for those who share my passion for rummaging through second-hand things).
- Bydgoszcz, which you can reach in an hour from Kamionki. I don't think I have to recommend Bydgoszcz - a very nice city!
- A little closer, because there is the Museum of Writing and Printing in Grębocin,
- However, in Gronowo you will find a neglected palace complex (urbex). During the war, the Wehrmacht's rehabilitation center was located in this palace.
What’s there for children?
The stairs in the house are steep and do not have child safety features. For a small child who is crawling or walking recently, this is a real and serious threat.
