If there's a magic button that lets you turn off the daily bustle of your mind, it's installed right here. Every time I enter the forest road leading to the Cottage, I feel bliss and peace. I know that nobody here wants anything from me, that I don't need anything, I don't see anyone in sight. We have been looking for a plot without neighbors for a long time. We found one surrounded by trees, on Mount Chełm, and on it a yellow hut with a threshing floor instead of a floor. Maybe others would knock their heads, but for us it was a dream come true. Especially since before we found a house, I already had a whole (large) garage filled with furniture, equipment and accessories. I knew exactly what this still non-existent house was supposed to look like. And probably when you hear the word "hut" you don't think about it. Total eclecticism, design, art, a crystal chandelier next to a table on an ostrich leg. It is a home for fun, relaxation, spending the whole day in the cinema barn and going mushroom picking in slippers. For mountain bike trips and summer bathing in the garden tub. It all worked out. This is how a place was created where we truly rest, invite friends and leave here as if after a decent sanatorium stay. Try it too.
Welcome to the holiday home. Here you come to lie on the terrace, lie in the bathtub, lie in the barn, lie in the living room and discover new tastes of interior design. 6 adults will be comfortable here (we have 3 bedrooms), but we also have a lot of extra beds, so if you decide to come with a larger group, even 10 people can fit here.
Here is the breakdown:
GROUND FLOOR
- a living room with a sofa bed (2 people can sleep) and a fireplace connected to the kitchen,
- exit to the terrace (terrace has 70m2),
- a bedroom with a double bed + a fold-out single armchair,
- a bedroom with two single beds (which can be joined together) + a fold-out armchair (a child and an adult can sleep on it),
- bathroom with shower,
ATTIC
- a bedroom with a double bed + a sofa bed (double),
- a bathroom with a free-standing bathtub.
So a total of 6 people on beds and another 4-6 on sofas and fold-out armchairs.
We are convinced that you do not have to take any kitchen equipment with you, because we prepared the house for us and we do not miss anything on the spot, and we love to cook.
We were looking for a place with a forest instead of neighbors for a long time. We found them on Mount Chełm, at the gates of the Beskid Wyspowy. It is a great base for not very steep trips, skiing and cycling, and there is also relaxation infrastructure at home and in the garden.
For home owners we have:
- a bathtub in the bathroom,
- fireplace in the living room and a comfortable sofa,
- a place for a bonfire under the rock,
- shower and bathtub in the garden for cool baths,
- large terrace,
- a relaxation and party barn for movie marathons (projector) and evening parties. There are sofas, a small kitchenette, glazing from old windows overlooking the forest, and a table.
You can find several relaxation areas in our cottage. In the back part of the garden there is a fireplace with seating, and in the middle there is a large jacuzzi.
Part of our plot is already a forest, so you can actually start picking mushrooms right behind the barn. Once you have collected the entire basket (you don't have to go too far), you can go further for a walk into the forest. Our plot is not fenced, because we have no one to protect ourselves from.
For a pleasant walk, with a reward at the end of the route, you can go to the PTTK Shelter in Kudłacze. It's not a very steep route and you can also do it by bike. It will take you about 2 hours to reach the wild garlic soup on foot. And from the shelter you can continue along the route to the Lubomir Observatory. This is a perfect idea for a trip even with small children.
And speaking of bikes. We have a lot of good things here for those who want to cover kilometers and elevation gain. MTB routes:
- Czerwona - the longest and most interesting one, circles Mount Chełm. It is 16.1 km long and has almost 400 meters of elevation.
- Zielona (stokowa) - (7.6 km, 170 m of climbing)
- Czarna (liaison) (1.5 km, 60 m uphill).
VeloRaba route:
- As the name suggests, this bicycle path along the Raba River is 125 kilometers long. It was carried out using an old railway line, which means that the slope of the terrain is slight. The route can take you to Rabka, but also to the salt mine in Bochnia. Although, of course, these are rather long-distance trips, not for a few hours.
If you do not have your own equipment, you can rent bikes (including electric ones) at several rental companies in Myślenice.
You can go to the beach on foot! Heading down from our forest, you will reach Myślenice, Zarabie Park, as the name suggests, on the Raba River. There is a swimming area, a beach, food trucks, a park, a promenade along the river, an outdoor gym, a pirate playground, and designated barbecue areas with benches and tables in the shade of trees. At the very end of the alleys there is also the "Małpi Gaj" Rope Park. In winter, there is also an ice rink in Zarabie Park.
From Myślenice you can also take the cable car to Mount Chełm, and if you want to climb Mount Chełm, it is about a 20-minute walk from Chata Patykowo.
From the town you can also take a pleasant walk to the top of Uklejna or to Polana na Mikołaja.
We are also 3 minutes by car from the Ski Arena Myślenice, which means we are very close to skiing. Next is: Kasina Ski & Bike Park, Siepraw Ski and Laskowa-Kamionna.
