One day a runner came to us. He had plans to prepare for the mountain ultramarathon, which takes place in Karpacz (3 x Śnieżka = 1 x Mont Blanc). He left for training the next day at 4am and didn't leave the place after that. Because although we are in the heart of the Valley of Palaces and Gardens, close to colorful lakes and trampled trails of the Sokole Mountains, this open field turns out to be everything that a man sometimes needs to rest. We have created our wood-scented yurt for children so that they can sleep on the mezzanine under the skylight, and during the day they can queue to feed, care for and pet a flock of geese, chickens, sheep, goats and rabbits. We thought about parents who will find time to read books in a hammock or wander their thoughts on a sun lounger. We brought this place to life to be able to come here in the company of your favorite women, talk about all the times and take care of yourself in a herbal bath. It will also work well for couples looking for romantic escapes, expecting barefoot walks in the dew and dinner for two. Accommodation in a cozy tent with two double beds, standing on 2.5 hectares of open field, will serve everyone. We provide: coffee with a view of Śnieżka, baths under the stars in heated tubs, proximity to the river, seclusion and an extremely close and soothing experience of nature. Do you want to try?
We invite you to a yurt in the middle of nowhere with a view of the Giant Mountains. It will accommodate 4 people, for whom there are two double beds (one downstairs, the other on the mezzanine). Inside there is also: a mini kitchenette with a sink and a fridge, and a bathroom with a shower. The yurt smells of wood, we made sure that the decor is cozy (there are blankets, pillows, a goat, bathrobes), but also functional (there are cabinets, tables and chairs). We have our own electricity and water - they come from a power bank and photovoltaics.
In front of the yurt - a covered terrace with a table and a stove. At your disposal will also be: deckchairs, hammocks, darts, grill and a place for a bonfire.
We invite you with pets, but take into account that there is a whole zoo on site - sheep, goat, chickens, geese and rabbits.
In the neighborhood (300 m) there is another yurt where Emilka runs a forest non-kindergarten. The nearest buildings are 700 m away. 8 km separates us from Jelenia Góra, and 9 from Karpacz.
The yurt has a mini-kitchenette with a sink, fridge and worktop, with a two-burner stove in front of it. At your request, we can organize a basket with local specialties. On the covered (and built on three sides) terrace there is a table made for feasting. There will be a grill at your disposal, and there is also a place for a bonfire near the yurt.
In Łomnicka Hala Mleczna (10 minutes from us) you can try sheep's milk ice cream. Don't be afraid of those with the addition of blue cheese, they are outstanding. Thanks to the glass kitchen, you will see how both ice cream and cheese are made. You can also buy regional products on site.
In the middle of nowhere, the task is one. One should not be in a hurry. It is best to listen to the sounds of nature, indulge in pleasures and soak up the smell of a campfire. We have exactly 2.5 hectares of greenery here and a whole list of what you can do with us:
- let's start with the view - the Giant Mountains and their highest peak - the majestic Śnieżka, it is good to admire it with morning coffee from Chemex, drunk on the terrace,
– we have a covered terrace for serving delicious lunches and dinner-feasts,
– we have prepared open-air bathtubs, in which the water is heated by a steamer – at least once you will organize a herbal or ordinary bath among candles and necessarily under the stars,
– we have a hammock for small and large,
– right next to the yurt we have prepared a space for a bonfire,
– if you give us a word, we will be able to organize an outdoor massage or yoga classes for you.
We have meadows and forests here, where you can walk freely, watching birds (the most frequent guests are herons, cranes and hawks) and animals (roe deer, deer, beavers and badgers).
About 30 meters separates us from the river, which brings coolness in the heat and is suitable for swimming in winter. On the other side there are ponds where you can go to watch herons and cranes.
It often happens that after arriving here, you don't want to leave. But if you feel like it, we have prepared some suggestions.
- We are located in the heart of the Valley of Palaces and Gardens - you can visit the palace in Łomnica, the fairy-tale palace in Wojanów and the famous Książ Castle in Wałbrzych.
- You can go to the trails from us, Rudawy Janowickie is 5 minutes away. In the Sokoli Mountains (north-western edge of Rudawy Janowickie) you can go to Sokolik or Krzyżna Góra. There is a Szwajcarka shelter, a camp for climbers and not very impressive remains of the Sokolec castle (near Krzyżna Góra).
– Colorful lakes will appeal to both small and large. In four mine workings, left over from German pyrite mines, the water has unusual colors: yellow, purple, blue and green. After watching them, you can still get the Great Kopa.
During your stay with us, you can visit: Karpacz, Świeradów Zdrój, Szklarska Poręba, Cieplice Śląskie-Zdrój (and the thermal baths there).
In the yurt you will also find a brochure by Emilka with activities invented by her - you can try them on the spot or go to the forest. In it you will find hints on mindfulness practice, a handful of ideas for games for children, or a sky map for stargazing.
What’s there for children?
Yurt and children are a perfect combination. The youngest often sleep in bed with their parents, the older ones prepare a base on the mezzanine under the skylight through which they watch the sky.
Already in the morning there is a queue to feed our pets. They are all tame with people and let themselves be stroked. And we have a whole bunch of animals: sheep, goats, chickens, geese and rabbits.
Animals can also be observed, because herons and cranes come to the nearby ponds. Beavers also live there. Roe deer, badgers and deer can easily be spotted in the area.
Near the yurt there is a non-forest kindergarten run by Emilka. If your children feel like it, they can join the classes taking place there. There is a playground and mud kitchen, which is a lot of fun for the little ones.
