It will be like in the movie "Good Year". The golden rays of the sun will lean against the blue door of the hundred-year-old house every afternoon when you sit down with your favorite people at a lavishly set table. When preparing summer feasts, feel free to reach for the harvest from our vegetable garden. Varmia.44 will serve you with fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, spinach, kale and beans. In the movie, Uncle Henry says to the main character: when you find something good in life, you have to take care of it. This historic house in the Kiwitach settlement blew us away. We didn't even expect that our holiday enclave would be here, but when we saw this place, we had to take care of it. We renovated the house with appreciation for the history of Warmia, but also to feel a bit like in Tuscany or Provence. We feel that this romance was as successful as the meeting between Russell Crowe and Marion Cotillard.
We offer you a house with blue shutters among the fields of Warmia. It stands in isolation, in the vicinity of a beautiful hundred-year-old lime tree, among blooming trees and shrubs. It will be for your exclusive use, and you can come here with up to 13 people. Depending on the number of visitors, we will prepare the necessary number of sleeping places.
In the house are:
– bedroom no. 1: double bed
– bedroom no. 2: a double bed and a youth bed on a raised bed with a ladder
– bedroom no. 3: double bed and sofa bed (with bathroom)
– bedroom no. 4: single bed (90x200)
– bedroom no. 5 (upstairs) with a double bed and a sofa bed.
– open kitchen on the ground floor connecting to the dining room and living room,
– an open attic with a large table and a sofa (apart from it, there is 1 bedroom and a bathroom on the first floor).
We have 3 bathrooms, one in the attic and two on the ground floor, one shared and the other in bedroom number 3.
Here you will find privacy, peace, soothing greenery and atmospheric interiors of a rustic house. Lazy days in the garden await you, which will be complemented by trips to the surrounding forests and lakes.
Our area, bordering on fields, practically has no neighbors (there is only 1 rarely visited house in the area), it is not fenced. This can be important information for pet owners.
We have a very well-equipped kitchen - our guests once said that there is even more here than in their home kitchen. We recommend you to feast on the terrace or at the table in front of the house: then you can really feel like you are on holiday in the south of France or in a small Tuscan town!
In the season, we encourage you to use our ecological vegetable garden: feel free to help yourself with beets, carrots, radishes, spinach, kale, cucumbers or tomatoes.
On Saturdays you can go to the Eko Targ on the market in Jeziorany, where you will find ecological and hand-made local products. Artists and small farmers from the vicinity of Jeziorany exhibit there. You can return to the place with vegetables, cheese, honey, fresh rolls.
We cultivate boredom here in the Warmian way: among the hills and meadows, in the time that flows slowly and in a blissful state of mind that can be achieved only when you really don't need anything. You do not have to look at the calendar, check e-mails and remember about important city matters. For this you can:
– practice yoga on the grass in the morning,
– bask on a sun lounger on the terrace with a view of the trees,
- make a barbecue or light a bonfire,
– play netball or leg in the family line-up,
– spend the whole afternoon with a book in a hammock,
– go for walks aimlessly in the meadows.
If we're being completely honest, it usually looks like that, although we recommend our guests nice places in the area, they spend most of their time in the house and its surroundings anyway. It's just hard to leave this place.
Our house is surrounded by a very large unfenced land (1 ha) with trees, in the shade of which you can hide, bushes and pleasant corners to lie down with a deckchair. We border on fields and meadows that you will have views of. In the immediate vicinity there is only 1 house that is empty (its owners come there very rarely), so you can boldly and affectionately say that this deserted place is all for you.
We like to call the paths that run from our house through the fields Tuscan. You can walk them for a long time among the hills and not meet anyone - as in Warmia, it is empty here. You can also go on a bicycle tour.
You will be close to Rozlewisko Bartniki (3.5 km, perfect for a small trip). It is an ecological site next to which there is an observation tower, there is also a nice place to make a bonfire.
Within a radius of 20 km there are several lakes with beaches where you can relax. Within a short trip are the Luterskie, Blanki and Wielochowskie lakes.
You can organize a small trip along the trail of sleepy Warmian towns with their historical buildings, canals and castles. Put on your list the nearest Lidzbark Warmiński, Jeziorany or charming Reszel with red roofs and a beautiful view stretching from the church tower.
Perhaps you will be on your way to Nowy Kawków. Stop by to feel its artistic atmosphere, drop by for local art and coffee in the gallery, visit the Lavender Living Museum at Lavender Field and take a look at the climatic agritourism that is flourishing in this area.
If your children like: running barefoot on the grass, climbing trees, arranging pebble mandalas, weaving wreaths and generally being close to nature, they will remember their Warmian holidays with us for a long time. Our three kids are having a great time here. The best thing will be to provide the kids with company so that they can play together on the plot. For babies we have a cot and a high chair.
We can be a good place for team workation if you need space to brainstorm together. In the attic we have a long table for 8 people, a large sofa and a lot of space around. There is also a table on the ground floor. Individual workspaces can be found in the rooms, and since there are as many as 5 bedrooms, you can comfortably arrange your team. The Internet will sometimes be interrupted, but generally it works as it should and you can work safely from here.
